  1. Really just one single possibility to enchant superb? You get enough mats for two one handed weapons or a single two handed.
  2. I use it on my mechanics specialist so I can focus him/her on that to get to 10 as soon as possible. It doesn't cure "fatigue" but it delays the debuff if you eat it before you get it.
  3. Anyone knows of a good Cadegund portrait? I am doing another run and I decided to skip Durance this time (I get more than enough emo from Grieving Mom). So I need a new priest and I figured the old discarded Cadegund might be a good replacement. Sure, she won't have as much to say compared to the pre-made companions but at least she will have more personality than Aloth... I found a couple of fan made portraits here and here, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any other that would blend in better with the art style used by the game.
  4. You have to if you want to enchant superb on some weapons... Just poke it with pointy things until it drops, OP. Flank, debuff dragon, buff party, have the druid and wizard spam petrify... go all out. And if all that fails come back at level 12. The only thing that I recall that was out of the ordinary in that fight was that the dragon wasn't a valid target for cipher powers for some reason. Not sure if it was a natural immunity or a glitch.
  5. It doesn't help that you find most prisoner candidates early in the game, long before you have a decent security rating, or even a prison.
  6. Cleaned out the place completely, all three floors. I didn't want an insane religious fanatic with an army, a proven track of constant murders and a pet necromancer as a neighbor. And then I did in his cousin when he "just" happened to show up to claim the place without lifting a finger. I guess letting me do all the work didn't work out for him after all...
  7. Okay you are the second person to mention to max Per and Res, well with the Sword and Shield version? Since the rest would be at the default for whatever race I decide to take, would that not hamper the damage I could do with the Melee Rogue. ( Even with Coastal Aumaua? ) As for the second build ... well I have patch 1.05 but I guess that does not really matter in the long run. As for using a Greatsword with a Rogue ... well that would certainly surprise most Enemies. You need to decide what you want for your rogue, damage or deflection. The way this game system works you either need to max out defense as much as possible or ignore it, the balanced approach doesn't work. Sword and shield plus high per and res rogues are geared towards deflection, basically filling the job of a fighter, but with more damage options if the other party members flank or drop crowd control effects. Orlan or Moon Godlike would be ideal with this kind of rogue, but any other will do. As for the Plate wearing, greatsword wielding rogue... this isn't D&D, and the things that make something like this a bad idea in that system do not exist here. Sneak attack extra damage is based on the damage you do, not how many attacks you can make in a combat turn (as is the case of D&D 3rd edition), so, with the way combat damage reduction is set up, it tends to favor two handed weapons. As for the plate... the retaliate mod kicks in when you get hit, so you need to have as much DR as possible. Also the concept of weapon and armor proficiency do not exist here, so there is nothing preventing a rogue from using two handed swords and heavy armor. Dumping int is a bad idea with rogues, it kills the damage from deep wounds as the duration is modified by it.
  8. I finished the game twice with rogues. One was a sword and board interrupt rogue using Mosquito as a weapon. It was as unkillable as a sword and board fighter but with a lot more damage potential with a little support from the team's cipher. Just max out Per and Res, get the sword and board talent at level 2 and then just focus getting some good defensive gear and class/talent choices, plus hold the line, reckless assault, savage attack and deep wounds. The common consensus here seems to be that interrupt sucks but I can tell you from experience that with the right build AND weapon, it was quite noticeable and effective at keeping enemies busy. Also perception gets quite a few good dialogue choices. Second rogue was a two handed flank/retaliate build. Max out Might and Res (to prevent interrupts, you are going to get hit a lot) get some boots of speed, the Sanguine Plate for pre 1.05 (now the Coat of Ill Payment or Hiro+Sanguine) and Tidefall. Send in the tank first to attract your enemies, dash to their back and unleash Tidefall's awesome damage on them. If they turn on you your retaliate attack will make short work of them, as it will be boosted by the deep wounds ability. This rogue needs a lot of support (pain block FTW) and babysitting, but it will do short work of pretty much any enemy you have to deal with.
  9. Chanters should take a page from the casters' book and get a starting bonus to phrases used on higher levels, say 1 starting phrase at level 9 and 2 at 11. That would help the class access to medium and higher level abilities in "normal" fights.
  10. I had this bug on my first run when the game launched, but I was not able to reproduce it again. No idea what caused it.
  11. I don't know about the "perfect party", but this one is a "perfect zoo" for sure. Moon Godlike sword and board fighter (AKA the undying meat shield that does some damage) Avian Godlike Paladin warhammer+outworn buckler (aura and herald support) Death Godlike two handed rogue doing flanking attacks (tidefall + sanguine plate make for a nasty combo early in the game, will have to add hiro's after the next patch) Nature Godlike Druid with an arquebus Fire Godlike priest of Magran with an arquebus (player) Human Cypher with THREE arquebuses Pale Elf Wizard waiting at the stronghold, doing all the stronghold adventures to keep up with the level of the rest of the team.
  12. This is still happening with the GoG version patched to 1.04 (gog-4). Sadly it happened on my character so I can't dismiss and rehire to fix it. Here is the save. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9jgMl5BnHvLQVlRRHpnd1FZbDg/view?usp=sharing Patch 1.05 seems to have fixed it, at least for this save. No idea what caused it in the first place.
  13. I am part of the closed alpha. It is not implemented yet, but choosing and rolling back to an earlier version of games will be part of Galaxy's capabilities. Beta patches should be easy to implement using that same feature, once it is finished and added to the client. Might not help now, but at least there is hope for the future.
  14. NPCs reacted to it twice in my game. Raedric mentioned it, since he is a follower of Berath. And the leader of the assassins at Magran's fork called my death godlike brother and had some extra dialogue about it. I also has some generic reactions to being a godlike, without mentioning the type. The good thing about the death godlike is that if you select the head #3 you don't miss on helmets, you ARE the helmet.
  15. I don't see any bug? The upgrades were destroyed during an attack, you can read it in the first image, that is why you had to buy them again. Do not auto-resolve encounters to prevent this.
  16. It depends on your party setup. With a party with the default NPCs the Tier 1 fights were a struggle at level 5, with a fully "hired" NPC party (with the same classes) the fights were easy at the same level. The default NPCs aren't very well optimized.
  17. I take it that it is not a retroactive fix? My bugged hired companions are still silent, even after dismissing and reforming the party at the stronghold.
