Some of that "freeware" is for a limited time use until you have to buy a copy. So watch what you use or make use of it before it expires.

Amazon.com is the best place to go, for those countries they ship to. I do all of my used game and music purchasing from them.

There is freeware software out there that lets you download entire websites quickly. Do a search for website archive.

Fallout Fallout 2 Baldur's Gate

BG2 with a little bit of C&C Tiberian Sun on the side.

Keep the combat as the same as the previous two games. I didn't see any fault with it.

It depends on your own tastes, of course, but I think for a lot of people BG2 visuals beat most later games. They represent the apex of that particular generation of graphics, with gorgeous 2D locations still leaving a lot for the imagination to do. However, if Bioware had decided to stick with that generation and not move on to 3D, they would have gone bust by now. Got to move with the times, eh? The BG and IWD games had beautiful visuals. Better looking than most games since then.

BG2. Testing my mods.

The black screen of death. You either have to reload another saved game or start over. I had this happen to me on Dantoonie was well. I had to start a new game.

Thankfully its not 4E. Crafting, I never had any use for it. Here's hoping that SoZ is as good as MotB was.

BG1. I am finally in the city of Baldur's Gate.

I don't do online gaming any more nor would I pay for it. Too addicting. LA needs to focus on Kotor 3 a Kotor game just like the last two not some MMO.

Building a PC is fun. I wish I could do it more often. Just follow the instructions and you should be fine. Like putting together a giant 3D puzzle.

I hadn't thought of that. Cunning. In fact, I got tired of waiting for advice, and started NWN2 as a little goody two shoes. It's really hard to get by as a stuck up bastard who is also a ladies man. Virtually all my NPCs hate me, because I keep flip-flopping to try and cosy up to all the girls. It saves on reinstalling the game in case you didn't like something or something got screwed up with it.

Try turning down or turn off the AA and/or Anisotropic filter in the game settings. And there is nothing wrong with ATI cards. The graphics look far superior with my 3870 cards.

What a waste of good voice talent. Cat Taber aka Mission Vao is in it. Tom Kane aka Master Vandar. Sam Jackson, Christopher Lee, Anthony Daniels and Kevin Michael Richardson the narrator of the BG games.

Yes the North bridge does run hot. You would think that those huge heat sinks would spread out the heat. The good thing with my Antec 900 case is the 200mm fan that sits above the North bridge, able to blow air right on it.

After you make a clean new install of BG, you should make a copy of it some where in case you wish to play vanilla BG. I have multiple copies of the games with different various mods installed on each of them.

I don't like the cap remover. It will let you keep gaining EXPs but it will show your level at -1. I prefer a level 30 or 40 rule set myself. No way you are going to get to that level in BG any way. TuTu is a mod that converts/combines BG with BG2. It will enable you to use the BG2 game engine, you play through BG and once you defeat Sarevok, you can continue on playing into BG2 instead of quitting BG1 and go start up BG2. TuTu is a pain in the ass to install for some, is buggy for others. I'm old fashion and prefer to stick with vanilla BG.

If you are going the TuTu way, The Stone of Askavar is the only mod that I mentioned above that can be used for it. The others can't yet. Also if you use plain old BG without TuTu, install Baldurdash after any patches and before any mods install.
