  1. Baldur's Gate 1. Mod testing.
  2. BG1 Tweak Pack Dark Side of the Sword Coast BG 1 Adventure Pack Item Upgrade Stone of Askavar For all of your BG needs found here. If you are going the TuTu way, The Stone of Askavar is the only mod that I mentioned above that can be used for it. The others can't yet. Also if you use plain old BG without TuTu, install Baldurdash after any patches and before any mods install.
  3. I certainly hope not.
  4. How original. Lets go with the i gimmicks.
  5. No particular order: Fallout Fallout 2 Diablo Diablo 2 Baldur's Gate Baldur's Gate 2 VtM Bloodlines Oblivion Kotor 2 Kotor 1
  6. Is the disk damage in any way? Ribbon connected correctly? Ribbon connected to the proper connection on the mother board? If you have an IDE DVD or CD ROM drive disconnect that and connect the hard drive to it. Remove the jumper switch and see if it does anything. I had to connect four damaged hard drives to my new computer because I have software that can scavenge old data off of them. There was one drive that I had to tinker around with until my computer finally recognized it.
  7. NWN - Dull characters, dull story outdated graphics. PoR2 - Bought the expensive collectors edition. I could have put that money to better use. PST - Boring. Not a mod friendly game. RISK 2 - They went from the great game of RISK to this piece of crap?
  8. That goes doubly for you.
  9. Somewhere between $1100 and $1500. Newegg is good with discounts and rebates. Some of the hardware I bought near where I live which was cheaper than Newegg, but mostly what I bought came from them.
  10. Thread Pruned. I am sure we can hold a civil discussion without resorting to trolling or any other form of flame baiting.
  11. Baldur's Gate. With all of this discussion about this game, I thought I would finish the game I started a few months back.
  12. That case looks good and has some decent fans for air flow. That Maximus Formula motherboard will run hot and it needs all of the air flow it can get.
  13. Time to start a new thread. This one has reached its limit.
  14. Some of the later editions of that board support 1600 FSB. Thought I would throw that in. Good choice on board and processor.
  15. Fallout 2. Butt kicking for fun.
  16. Browse Newegg. Find a video card brand you may be interested in and read the reviews from people who have purchased that product. That is what I did when I was looking for hardware for my recent build. I have the brand Diamond in one computer and MSI in the other. I have had not any problems with their video cards.
  17. I'll keep that sound card in mind. Eventually I'll upgrade my single ATI 3870 in this computer to something along the lines of 2 dual 4870 cards if and when they make them. Or something better when time goes by. My current soundcard occupies a PCI slot which would be in the way if I had two wide cards installed. Board designers are pretty intelligent in placement of slots.
  18. If you are going to have Crossfire the minimum requirements for the PSU is 550W. I have a Corsair 650W with this hardware: CPU INTEL E8400 ASUS MAXIMUS FORMULA X38 2 MSI OC HD3870 Graphics Card in Crossfire. Factory over clocked. 2G OCZ 800MHz RAM CPUCOOLER|ARCTIC P4 Seagate Barracuda 500GB SATA hard drive. Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer DVD player CD/RW player It handles everything just fine, with room for expansion if you decide to get other types of hardware for your system.
  19. Discussion about Kotor 3 can be found here.
  20. Now they come out with something after I already bought a sound card for it when I put the computer together.
  21. I am browsing the Asus messages boards. Seem like the Maximus Formula tends to run hot on a lot of peoples boards it seems. I happen to be running this board on both of my computers. The one that doesn't have any heating issues, its below 45C. It is also the one in my Antec 900 case which has a lot of fans. Plus the Power supply is at the bottom of the board where it would get my video card hot. I guess the computer that is running too hot needs better circulation. The CPU and the mother board temps are higher than my Antec computer but they are still in tolerance. I'll have to buy fans that have adjustable speed settings.
  22. Is there any use for these yet? The only thing that I have found is the cheapo soundcard that comes with the motherboard. They were better off putting in additional PCIe X16 or even PCI slots than those little worthless things.
