I happened upon Crookspur randomly and after finding the imprisoned Huana inside went about slaughtering all the slavers within (this was before 1.1 came out - still haven't finished the game yet). I hadn't gotten too deeply into any of the faction quests but learned that killing the slavers breaks various faction quests with the Principi or Valian Trading Company. Can someone confirm whether this is the case? I was looking to support the Valians later down the line as I'd just completed the one in the bathhouse where you are disguised as attendants. Was wondering when the next quest from Castol would drop but I'm wondering if my killing of the slavers has messed things up...

I realised this the other day. Apologies... It was getting rather obsessive and played out wasn't it? Just I think of witch and I think female specific, I think eye of newt, cauldrons etc. Not a... psionic... berserker. Wild Mind itself would have been a good multiclass name for it (IMO), not just in reference to Serafen's self-taught method. Any way... Going to shut up about this now.

Aloth's Approval
Androoh replied to Aldaroshka's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Yeah, bored with Aloth's craic in Deadfire. He's a boring curmudgeon that practically disapproves of everything. I have him at -1 for whatever reason and he retorts in a grumpy fashion when I select him (which is a great touch). Hoping I can find a way to cheer him up. :D -
I use him as a pure cipher as the scenario in which you meet him establishes him as having those abilities. Seems odd to me to then have him as a pure barbarian who can't access those powers. Would opt for a barb/cipher but still can't get over 'witch' as the multiclass name. My main is an oracle though, so I haven't used him much.

Speaking as a native of the UK - No. Would rather stab myself repeatedly in the gonads with a stanley knife than endure watching it. Nothing against the royals but neither am I any fan of theirs.

Which race did you choose?
Androoh replied to Eirin's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Pale elf with white that wends/ mystic background - oracle (beguiler / lifegiver). Enjoy it a lot - Nice crowd control / healer, blasting from the back with a scepter. Largely ignore his werewolf spirit shift even though it pumps the rejuvenation effect of heals a bit. -
Concerning DLC and digressing slightly: At least 1 ship vs a big sea monster battle is what I'm hoping for. More content for the sidekicks would be good (Ydwin, Konstanten etc) - possibly make them full companions if it's not too much work. As per topic and Durance... Not bothered if he makes an appearance in Deadfire or DLC even though I think he's a brilliant character and my joint favourite companion next to Edér. I suppose as per Deadfire's plot though, it could be spun out to justify his presence though as per his desire for revenge etc. If there was ever a third game (akin to an epic level ToB final 'chapter') - I'd definitely like to see him return as I miss having at least one abrasive/unpleasant companion in my group (a la Edwin or Sarevok in BG). Seems a bit too convenient / a stretch though that everyone you traveled with happens to turn up in the sequel. One line of dialogue with Maneha (not got that far into the game) seems disappointing though. I fought a damn Kraken with her and travelled veritable leagues of the White March with her and all we get is that? Guess I'll comment further when I bump into her.

Edér not being a romance option for a female watcher seems like a missed opportunity. Pallegina too. Could have explored thing of her not being able to have children, her identity as a godlike and the relationship interfering with her duties etc. The foundation to explore a relationship with either character and it make sense / not seem out of the blue was there by virtue of you having adventured with them in the first game.
-
In my ending, Pallegina was expelled from her order for defying the ducs orders and arranging a new trade deal. I decided to strengthen the Dyrwood with the souls trapped in Sun in Shadow however which causes Pallegina to be pardoned a few years later for her foresight. Hopefully this still applies once the bugs are squashed.

The waiting game (for the hotfix)

Probably already mentioned, but noticed that you can't choose the ending for Zahua where he unites a bunch of small tribes to form the 'Tacanaquin' (ending I got) - I possibly may have missed this though. If all the choices were available, I'd be using this set up to make up for the save import feature being bugged. Oh well...

I think the nature godlike look quite cool, but I see where OP is coming from. More Orlan heads / portraits would have been nice too. Not a fan of that third male orlan portrait that was added. Doesn't mesh with the existing art style. Why does one of the male Aumaua portraits have facial hair when you can't choose any for them too? </nitpicky>

Known Major Issues
Androoh replied to SChin's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Not going to lie, the issue with the save importing has definitely taken the shine off the release of the game to me. I'm a patient man though and can wait another week for these bugs to be (hopefully) fixed. Otherwise, game looks great from the small amount I've played so far - Can't wait to start properly. -
Despite being becoming mayor of Dyrford in my ending for the first game, Edér is wearing an amulet that references the 'Night Market.' As per what I've read in the wiki this suggested that I convinced him that the god's influence was good and hadn't encouraged him to be more sceptical. Did something mess up?

Oracle (cipher + druid). My character is a pale elf from the White that Wends and his background is that of a mystic. I played him as a rational/stoic cipher in the first game. I felt the idea that his background tied in well to the narrative of the first game and that he'd been receiving visions long before arriving in the Dyrwood, though not as potent and realised. In any case, various factions in the White that Wends were seeking to use his emerging power for whatever reason to the point that he decided to leave - only to have his abilities to become more pronounced upon witnessing the ritual at Cilant Lîs and becoming a watcher. I feel like an oracle fits the theme of a mystic well and like to think conversations with Hiravias and Zahua had an impact on his development. I want him to be more of a crowd-control / healer type guy, blasting foes with a scepter from a distance.

Cuphead. It's awesome and nicely difficult.
