  1. So what? Maybe this world has a different morality than our own or yours. That adds to the gameplay and the world in my opinion. Then it should be decided by the denizens of the world, not the game's mechanics.
  2. No morality slider - it tends to go by the belief system of the developer, not the player.
  3. Screw spells. Swords, shields, clubs and arrows FTW. That said, if there are to be spells and magical abilities and such, I would hope that it's done in a different way rather than Mana/Magic Points/whatever with either a legion of spells that you'll never use, or a severely truncated selection of a massive list of spells. The catch could be if spells come from a character's HP rather than MP - it could balance things out if magic spells are overpowered.
  4. I'd like to see the PC get shot down in attempts to start a relationship. IMO in most (if not all) games with romance options, the PC gets whatever the PC wants with the NPC.
  5. How about multiple currencies? Seems like everyone runs on the exact same currency system. Including isolated (or even unknown) civilizations. The pipedream would be a fictional world with no fantasy elements...
  6. It's fine for ceremonial armor, but you generally wear ceremonial armor into battle (AFAIK).
  7. This has my interest, but I'll need to know a little more before making an investment.
  8. You kinda can't get away from tropes TBH. It's what happens when everything's been done before.
  9. A countdown to a countdown to a countdown to... Countdown with Keith Olbermann! (Tip the waiter on the way out, he'll be here all week)
  10. Are the people in the know laughing at how way off most of these speculations, predictions and assertions are?
  11. All I know is that it's sparked my interest, seeing as I made my way back here. I hope it's a new IP, I could use one of those right about now.
  12. I'm much more interested in seeing an original IP TBQH.
  13. I personally give it a 5. Wasn't horrible, but was far from great and did not leave me impressed at all. Sure as heck wasn't as great as advertised.
  14. I wouldn't mind a repackaging of the game, but I would hope for a different story and cast of characters, especially now since more of the timeline is open to the EU developers. In regards to space combat sims themselves, I think they're going to make a comeback, it's most likely going to be via an original IP - there would be a fresh start and blank slate to work with and build upon, and you wouldn't have to worry about demands and input from the IP holder that come when a preexisting IP gets used. I think that could be a successful venture, considering that there aren't many available options in that genre ATM.
  15. a good space combat simulator? Something in the vein of Wing Commander or TIE Fighter? Could be an original IP or an established IP; that doesn't make much difference to me - if the story's good, the features are plenty, and the action is great, that's what matters.
  16. LOL It's what happens when you observe and research. I know I've felt that way once or twice.
  17. This is what happens when gamers and publishers both have a strong urge of instant satisfaction. Also, many have probably been fired, considering (IIRC) they're a dime a dozen.
  18. Could such a thing be likely in our future? Where we can modify CGI films like we do video games? I think it could do for movies what is currently done for video games. You could change what you don't like, for instance. It would also add replayability and interactivity to a movie, giving you a reason to watch it more than once (since, let's face it, movies are, with rare exception, linear [far more than video games]).
  19. What about Windows 7? Does it work OK there? Just checking...
  20. Just a thought on how the Sith Empire ties in a bit with the events of KOTOR/TSL and TOR. I think what Revan and the Exile did was incite a civil war within the True Sith Empire - remember, the Mando Wars, as Kreia said and HK-47 implied, was a war meant to convert the Jedi Order. Revan was the charismatic and brilliant strategist, and the Exile herself was able to draw many followers, due to her inherent Force Bonding. Whether or not they instigated on opposite sides (Revan on one side, Exile as the other) I'm not sure about. And again, this would also play into the "why no one can come along" role, considering what they were doing with people they were attaching themselves to. While they may not have lived to see much of it, the factions could live on and the civil war could have lasted for a century or so. Agree? Disagree? Think I'm talking out my backside? (Also posted on another forum)
  21. Tell that to people like EA who would rather release console games than PC games
  22. Uh, if you want to know what's being restored, you can always look in the Team Gizka forums. Everything that's being restored is listed there. Here's the link. I think what he's asking for is a review in advance. First impressions, so to speak.
  23. How about a Jesus game? I think that's an underexplored market for gaming. Too controversial?
