  1. Well they could always give a soap opera series if they need filler for times of peace. Or they could talk about politics. Economic booms and busts. Or some small-impact people, like some common smuggler or bounty hunter.
  2. You mean sex changes occured in Star Wars? I thought that only happened in San Franfreako, Calipornia
  3. The formative years of the Galactic Republic. Maybe the 24900 BBY period
  4. Something the 3 Old Men couldn't do, as mentioned when they're totally absent of the Force and totally lifeless. What's interesting is that for some odd reason they wait until then to explain why she was cut off from the Force. Earlier, they mentioned that they didn't do it, and the Disciple mentioned that the Exile may have cut herself off from the Force, though he didn't know why (though, to be honest, for all the bad rep he gets, he does provide some interesting perspectives). For that matter, I don't think the 3 Old Men knew either upon their respective planets, so I do wonder when they all arrived at that conlusion, if that assumption is true. And as for why the Exile was still special after Dantooine, well, there was still her other concerns - including Nihilus, who was on his way to Telos thanks to Colonel Tobin. One core element to Kreia's motivations was how the Jedi believe that the Force guides everyone. The Exile has no Force-Sensitivity, so how can the Force guide her? It's a Predestination vs. Free Will phenomenon. If the Exile can disconnect herself from the Force, and therefore be guided by free will, why can't everyone else be guided by free will instead of destiny (the Force)? Why can't people make their own decisions instead of blindly following dogma to the letter. What's one difference between your party members and the Jedi Masters? I'll let someone else pick that one up. And there was no "great revelation" because there were a bunch of little ones. And you could make the argument that instead of KOTOR II: The Sith Lords, it should have been KOTOR II: Exile. I might say more later, but the second half of the Sugar Bowl is here.
  5. Yeah, I could picture Avellone being able to salvage something out of the new twist called TOR Can you explain why he can't? TOR can just think of something like, "The Sith were crippled and rebuilt themselves over the last 300 years after Revan owned them." Its not like itd be different than any other Star Wars plotline for the Sith. It wasn't a sarcastic post.
  6. Yeah, I could picture Avellone being able to salvage something out of the new twist called TOR
  7. Wow, people are still bickering about this project? I've lost interest in this a long time ago.
  8. ... and I was hoping for a cheap rip off of the Bachelor
  9. I don't think the characters will have that much of an impact on the storyline as I have a feeling anyone can do the quests, much like in any MMO. So if I do a themepark series with LS choices, and another does the same themepark with DS choices, there's no way we will make any impact on the storyline/world because we both exist in the same environment. I think the only impact the players will have will be things like faction-controlled cities, like they have it in Star Wars Galaxies. To be honest, I seriously think we're being sold excess hype with SWTOR. Although, at the same time, we really haven't seen much, or received much first hand impressions from neutral parties. All we've heard so far have come from people with ties to the game's development.
  10. Wouldn't this qualify for one of the stickies? Just wondering is all... And to the topic, you must be kidding.
  11. 1: I think the gamers need that uncensored reality now and again. 2: Something like that could do wonders to character development. A great storyteller could use such a setting/scene/theme to really get into the mind of the player character and his/her companions. ... and yeah, I'm coming off that I just listened to.
  12. Would a demo work with this type of game? Generally demos are good for static games - those with linear gamelay, multiplayer, or sports
  13. My money is on "some time before the release of the TSLRP"
  14. 'cuz Revan keeps going and going and going and going....
  15. The big problem with MMOs is that all the quests are static, when, in reality, they should be dynamic. In a way, they currently feel like SPs except you have citizens that tend to behave out of character, frequently looking like fools, and their only purpose is to make your world feel more populated. How many times has Ceth Laike sent some somebody to investigate a crashed TIE Bomber site and then had him murder some Binayre Pirates and Flail Cutthroats, culminating in a space battle with the Binayre Blackjack? To me, all quests should be dynamic, available to only one player (and any people who happen to be in that player's group), and the quests should continue through failures.
  16. Star Wars in the pre-historic era. One planet, primitive equipment - no starships, blasters, lightsabers...
  17. One thing that I think could really help determine if Revan failed is to determine what it was that Revan intended to do in the Unknown Regions. If you remember, the True Sith were planning on invading the Republic, and what did he do? He waged war on the Republic before the True Sith did. There is a chance that he did the same thing when he returned to the Unknown Regions. And, there could be a very slim chance that Revan wanted the war in TOR. (I know, this is my attempt of trying to salvage something for a possibly good KOTOR III-pre TOR)
  18. I don't know - there could be a salvageable story for KOTOR III. For example, what was Revan's definition of "victory"? Maybe he was able to achieve what he set out to do in the Unknown Regions - it just wasn't what everyone thought it would be.
  19. Let's see, there's HK-47, and possibly T3-M4, Zaalbar, Motta, and Vogga, and although not to the KOTOR series, Urai Fen could be around as well. And I have a feeling that the whole descendant thing will wind up being executed rather poorly, meaning that they're there and of importance just to provide a plot and bloodline link, meaning they're going to be the Skywalkers before the Skywalkers
  20. It's a long list. Yuuzhan Vong, Legacy comics (everything except for Darth Talon), backstory for SWTOR, Alek Squinjnehhfdlkjgulihkjdsbfvlkjrfhulkjdxnbvluilkhjnmus, lightsabers in the hands of non-Force Sensitives (though it actually worked with NK-Necrosis), everything post 32 BBY = Skywalker Skywalker Skywalker, how they ruined Darth Caedus, flow-walking (or whatever the heck you call that time travel crap), tendencies for the cliches, among other things
  21. Well, as long as the Exile remains nameless, I think I'll take that as a minor but significant win
  22. The only characters that may still be alive would be.... Zaalbar, and Motta and Vogga the Hutt And as we know, HK-47 started the Battle of Koseyet after the Death Star blew up
  23. Well I think an immediate post-TSL MMO could have worked well also - Star Wars: Galaxies originally started out with no Jedi, and being a member of the True Sith Empire or the Galactic Republic isn't dependent on your Force-Sensitivity. And you could have had the Unknown Regions' happenings going on outside of gameplay (in other words, things are going on where the playerbase can witness but not interact for a period of time). And eventually the story would have come full circle with Revan, the Exile, the Jedi Order, the Galactic Republic, and the True Sith.
