  1. Does anyone remember when I cracked that one joke about how K3 would be an MMO by EA with George being heavily involved with the project? Looks like I have 2/3 on that....
  2. Unless that game is to be 100% linear
  3. Don't see it. It looks like they are completely in line with the story of KOTOR II. There are 300 years between KOTOR II and TOR, that's more than enough time for the Republic and Jedi to return to strength again. In fact, KOTOR II is the basis of the rebuilt Jedi Order. Still a completely stupid idea, the fact that the design does look like the movie era doesn't help either. There is nothing redeeming about this idea. All they did was use something for the 66454th time. Sadly that stuff wasn't good the first time they tried it. I'm OK with SOME of the PT elements coming into play (like the JSF-looking fighters), but most of it should have been left out for the PT era. What I don't like is the regurgitation of hackneyed logos (which makes you wonder what all really is new when Palpatine rises to power [in the IU sense]) and elements of the storyline. From the looks of it, it seems that Revan most likely failed, and the Exile is unaccounted for. You can't tell whether Coruscant is a Republic or Sith planet (which, from my initial standpoint is done poorly [i think Coruscant should have been left facing the threat of a Sith invasion and the Jedi Temple should have been left standing]), and it also seems like you have a Republic-in-exile, which is essentially what you had with the Alliance to Restore the Republic. To me, it just seems that the backstory is terrible and filled with a few plot holes - some things are still unaccounted for and you have some newly-created continuity gaps between KOTOR and the PT. It might grow on me, though, who knows...
  4. Yep. That really screwed over the KOTOR storyline... Not to mention it adds some possible continuity screwups in terms of the Republic and all (possible). And BTW, anyone notice that the faction icons are eerily similar to another two set of factions that, uh...
  5. Good story, but still overrated and overhyped.
  6. I've lost interest in TSLRP and have moved on to other projects
  7. Blasters were viable options in both games. For me, anyway...
  8. Right now it's all about TFU and the KOTOR MMO
  9. Galen Marek isn't all that special either
  10. The voice in my head as the Jedi Exile
  11. You know, for KOTOR III, if my PC is neither Revan or the Exile, but still a Jedi, I'll have to make him a carbineer
  12. Its an EA thing. Ruin a good company (Bioware) by making it produce lame games and having stupid ideas for future games. Since EA is so sports friendly, they'll make a swoop bike racing game before you know it. That is actually a great idea. You could play in different eras and have different racers... Maybe race as Cassie Mateil, Queedle, Requel Sorm, or some other swoop racer in the JCW era; race as Blizz Pinnix, Birgidan Nasalle, some BARC trooper, or someone else in the CW/CGW era... You could race in events like the Keren City Street Race, Ahto City Swoop Race, among numerous other events. ... but that's another game, not KOTOR III
  13. For now, with the help of Maximum Football, I'm in the process of creating a Star Wars Football League. The problem is trying to find logos for teams. Most of the SW logos apply to governments or military units... Now THAT is an aspect that could be developed in Star Wars a bit more
  14. But that would totally ruin Goto by taking the one thing away that made him original. , then he is just another crimelord like any other. You'd kill the originality of the his character and the sci-fi aspects of his origin as a crimelord. But how many crimelords put themselves in the service of others?
  15. I would have liked Goto a lot better if
  16. How so? It's not like you're losing money over them...
  17. Well, MMOs do suck. All of them. The KotOR MMO might not suck, but I doubt it. Even the free ones?
  18. Goto was cool until you found out who he really was. Then he was ruined.
  19. Isn't that a contradiction in terms? Seriously, I agree with Sand - MMOs just don't appeal to me, since they have virtually no plot or character depth. I have tried a few, though fewer than Sand mentions. "MMO? Just say no!" But MMOs did give us the latest version of TIE Fighter. Too bad you have to pay $15/mo for TIE Fighter: Jump to Lightspeed
  20. Selling them, but not much else. Their sports games are just that. Games. Not simulations. Games.
  21. They can't branch out to other genres? They might be able to make a really good women's basketball game...
  22. I have done everything in a dream except the clich
  23. Next thing you know Obsidian will be this huge company, and I'll be this insignificant individual who saw the whole trip but wasn't along for the ride...
  24. I would prefer reading about the common citizen more than I would about anyone with the last name of "Skywalker"
