So I was a little bit bored, and while playing through parts of TSL over again, this thought came to me: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords Starring Frank Caliendo and... Well that's it.

TIE Oppressor.

It's getting there, but it still has some major concerns that need to be addressed, starting with character diversity. IMO it's worth $15/mo but subscribe, cancel a few days later, let the account run out, and re-evaluate at that time. The RP (albeit relatively absent on a lot of servers) is one of the saving graces for this game. Problem is, most RP involves being either some Jedi hero, or Darth Vader/Palpatine's special Force-using somebody.

At least there's some sort of progress now...

I did post a thought somewhere that Bioware's new MMO might be SWG, after SOE loses their license and LA hands it to Bioware. I think people might give Bioware a chance with a SW MMO despite what SOE did with Galaxies starting with the CU and the NGE. But it's just a thought, and not even I would put any bit of money on that.

In addition, a new Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is also showing up, listing BioWare as the developer. No platform is listed however, which certainly opens the door for some interesting news down the line. Take what you will from that

Hopefully we can reach page 20 before that In any case, would K3 be better off following the canon storyline, or better off trying to account for the 16 endings of K1+K2? In the event of the latter, you'd be stuck with an all-new cast of characters (with the possible exception of T3) and an all-new set of locations (with the possible exception of Korriban). Everyone else is either dead or left behind doing something unrelated to Revan and the Exile's immediate storylines, and all the other planets have been impacted by either Revan or the Exile a bit too significantly. ... unless the only controllable character is T3 and the game takes place entirely in the Unknown Regions/Sith Empire. In the event of the former, you could do a few more things with a few more characters and locations, though.

Just a small thought on the "Bioware/LA MMO" IIRC, SOE's license on SWG expires in a year or so. Could it be possible that when SOE's license expires, SWG (and all it's content and server data) goes to Bioware? They (Bioware) would need to bring in their own development and maintenance team for that game, and because (for developmental purposes) it's a finished product (the engine, models, animations, levels), there would be a very short developmental period for the Bioware devs. In short, could Bioware's MMO with LA be in fact Star Wars Galaxies? ...
