  1. I just got insta-kicked from an EA server for .3 seconds of accidental fire from a chopper onto a friendly boat before I realised it was ours. I know I didn't kill anyone either, not my fault I'm a newb.
  2. Sounds great to me, but a whole lot of work would have to be done to the world and setting to warrant the kind of attention that replaying multiple times needs. This is a really good idea though.
  3. http://www.nwn2wiki.org/Warlock
  4. Errr it seems the dev chat has already begun, I thought there was an hour to go.
  5. I only experienced slowdown in one area of the game, the caves near the goblin fortress. I think if you can get past that area you're ok.
  6. Quick question about warlocks - do they wear robes or armour?
  7. It's easy, I'll walk you through it. 1. Click the link in my post to go to the NWN2News posting 2. Click the blue 'Java Client' link 3. Wait for the Java window to load (If this doesn't work it gets a bit complicated) 4. Write your name in the Nickname box 5. Click 'Connect Now!' 6. Type your questions/nonsense/abuse and you're off!
  8. Well I think its 9AM pacific time at the moment so it's just under 9 hours from now if I'm not mistaken.
  9. 10. Maybe he needs to freshen up his style a little with some wicked scratching and some pounding techno beats.
  11. It's still worth saying that Icewind Dale has one of the best soundtracks to a game that there's ever been. Jeremy Soule has made grander scores but still hasn't bettered the IWD one, it added so much to the atmosphere. Oddly, I found his music for NWN was largely quite forgettable although the HotU music was great.
  12. Good, ogling busty women at computer game shows only enforces the caricature of gamers as sex starved adolescent morons. I doubt any of those models go home to brag about what they were doing at work that day.
  13. Maybe when Ferret said powerful he meant that every time you come back to your castle from a mission covered in bruises a gaggle of fine wenches tell you that you're the man and give you medals.
  14. I'm playing the Shadowlords series of mods for NWN, I'm impressed! It's about twice as good as the OC so far. I'm also getting very into Day of Defeat: Source and trying to squeeze in some Civ 4 when I can.
  15. I actually almost hid behind my chair when the opening cinematic came up. *shivers* She was the only thing in all the IE games that gave me a fright, when she flashed up in the ice in that twisty cave map. A bit of horror with your RPG = It seems unfair that Josh is staying away from story and dialogue since he never got a proper crap of the whip. If it's based on behind the scenes reactions then fair enough but I don't think IWD2 was a very good showcase for anyone's skills.
  16. I must admit that, after HoW, I was a little disappointed at the lack of naked old ladies in IWD2.
  17. Not as good as the first, but better than most people seem to think. Pros - 3E rules! (this made a BIG difference) Some cool IE tricks. Nice VO (Peter Stormare!). Lots of areas for your money. Really nice spell icons. Good music. Great IE combat if a bit on the easy side. The opening chapter was awesome. Cons - Too many white areas. Far too little music. The haunted forest puzzle required a walkthrough to get past. The drops needed more work. My least favourite storyline of all IE games.
  18. Cool, I'll give it a shot, thanks!
  19. Much as I respect the emphasis on strategy I find it hard to enjoy a game when even the tutorial kicks my ass. :D Seriously I have Shogun and couldn't get past the final tutorial mission, am I dumb?
  20. Is this a MP beta or an everything beta?
  21. I should be ok for any weekend evening, although I may have to do some RL stuff at short notice.
  22. Sounds like lots of fun, does he just hang around baking bread until someone calls him on an oath?
  23. Hear, hear! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I hope for a Mafia 2, maybe main char the little girl from guy of Mafia 1, who was shot  <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I said this in another thread but the new Godfather game is very heavily inspired by Mafia. Mafia + Brando could = awesomeness, or it could just be another derivative EA game.
  24. I think adventure games are all about the story. Or they should be. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Puzzles are what make an adventure game, without them what you have is an interactive cartoon. It all depends on your definition of 'adventure game' though I guess.
