  1. Because Epic does not even have a review option, they have literally nothing. It's a vanilla steam and it will takes years to come close to the features what steam allready has, if they even plan to implent them.
  2. I enjoy the game in the beginning, but after a while i realize, that the build is not supposed to beat the megabosses and i lose the interest. There is probably only a handfull of solo builds, who can do that. I think SC Monk is the best one or at least, the one that needs the least amount of time to do it.
  3. I'm going to be honest with you on here but I don't see this build working against the Megabosses. Maybe the base game but Megabosses, unlikely. Especially Dorudugan. I don't think you can do the ooze either without WotW and stunning it constantly to prevent it from merging back together.
  4. Couldn't think of a better way to demonstrate how differently people approach these games. Here's a metagamer whose intention is powergaming, plain and simple. I couldn't think of a more displeasing way to play -- if the intention is to be as powerful as possible, why not simply rig stuff in your favor? And if the intention is to metagame, why play at all? I mean, you've already ruined all the surprises the story may have, so why bother? Again: no blame or criticism intended in any of this. I think it's just lovely that our approaches to the same game are so diametrically opposite. I want a easy time, even on the highest difficulty. I can not understand, ppl that play Dark Souls and try to kill every boss without gear or something like that. It's challenging yes, but i don't want to invest so much time, to become that good in one particular game.
  5. Deadfire I like, when you can get high end level gear, in the beginning, if you know the game. And you can level up very quickly.
  6. Heart of Fury makes them good against mobs. But you need a priest with BDD to prevent him from dying constantly. Even more if you use frenzy and the raw damage ticks in. Spirit Storm is very good for CC, it works very often.
  7. Just because something is possible, it doesn't mean it's supported. Solo in POE1 was always nothing more than a challenge for the player, the game was designed with party play in mind. But hey had a achievement for solo play or? So it had to be possible to do, otherwise that would be just a tease from them and some ppl would have played for no reason, if it wasn't possible.
  8. Would be better, if you could at least customize one spell in the grimoire. I don't think there is one, where you would pick every spell. And casters need more passives and the possibility to get more spell pen / acc easier.
  9. Depends on the Level. I feel not the need to board a ship b4 level 20. With WotW every of these fights is easy, exluding thaenic, that can be pretty hard.
  10. So if i use scordeo with adaptive and have 120 acc at the end, does that effect spell acc as well or do they have their own?
  11. I do tend to make things hard on myself, in POE 1 when I completed POTD solo I killed everything I could that posed a challenge, I didn't take the quickest route to the credits screen. It might make sense that way, but things still could be condensed for a bit more simplicity...I just dont understand why things needed changed from the last game? I figure I'd have to adapt if I'm going to play this way again, but still... I guess I stand corrected with the in-between thing. Had to reread the dialogue, was kinda unclear. I hold off on leveling because it's a tactic I learned from the first game. I also hold off on buying/selling anything until I know that I need to. This play-style doesn't afford you to do unnecessary actions. I fully understand that I'm playing the game in a way that most people wont play it but this is the way that interests me most and the idea of doing it the "normal" way is a concept that bores me because it's too easy. I don't get the same sense of accomplishment. I like to outsmart the game design, AI, and find clever ways to proceed. I just wasn't sure if Obsidian was supporting my way of playing this time. If there is no achievement like there was for the first game, it certainly would seem like they've shifted away from my play-style... I just didn't feel it was unreasonable to expect to be catered to this time when I was catered to last time. I streamed my entire playthrough and killed everything in POE1 and just wanted to do the same here in the sequel. Doesn't sound like an unreasonable expectation to have. First game managed to make things work for both play-styles, what's fun or isn't fun is opinion. Last game supported both, evidenced by the achievements offered, so, not unreasonable to expect the same thing again this time around. Seriously, I streamed and played POTD solo in POE1, for all intents and purposes, this IS the game I'm looking for. At least it SHOULD be, with it being a SEQUEL and all. So, yeah, it would be ridiculous to not expect both play-styles to work in this game when it did in the last. What difficulty are you on? Potd upscaled
  12. I never played in a group and could do everything, except one fight where you get turned into a ironclad and missing your talents etc. But you don't have to do that anyway, so who cares. But there is no solo achievement at the moment, maybe in the future.
  13. Or just throw out one party member, get a single class monk with whispers of the wind and the fight autoplays. I did not even notice, that his beams do severe damage, so fast he drops.
  14. The helwalker has higher might and can kill the mega bosses faster (needs less stacks of Resonant Touch). But Nalpazca is also good and probably more reliable overall. What Kaylon said and what you said - I think the fact that Arcane Cleanse and Damper remove the drug effects and cause you not to be able to heal (afaik) are the downsides, along wiht the lower might. Lower Might and Dampener does not work if you got 18xish WILL defense, but cleanse seems always to work, but only at the sigilmaster it gets cast. So just don't hit her, so only one pillars is active at a time.
  15. That's pretty cheap and i would not consider to do that. I can just use the console and cheat, would be the same.
  16. Monk 18? The class that can solo the mega bosses. Not really accurate. And opinion of ppl, that played the game through once?
  17. They are active, not passive. You have to use them in a fight. And if you give the "wrong" answers, you can even not get to upgrade them.
  18. Figurines are op? They are more a decoy in the beginning of the fight, because there is no casting time, but the most of them, lack on damage and durability (Siren has the highest i guess).
  19. At least in my game, the might affliction immunity does not work as intented. It stops one, but the second goes through and so on. Food always prevents it. So a safer bet would be, to keep your fortitude high. Most attacks focus FORT by stun. Tayn's Orb focus Will.
  20. Actually both can do that, it seems random. Good Food, better friends: Can not be acquired after ashen maw, if you have installed the third dlc. Nope. You can have it from scripted ecounter in Lowland Sands anytime. Yeah thanks It seems, it does not override the food bonus.
  21. Actually both can do that, it seems random. Good Food, better friends: Can not be acquired after ashen maw, if you have installed the third dlc. Is it still a toss-up between Good Food, Better Friends and food buffs? The info in the original post said it overwrites .... Hmm, could not test it yet, but if it still does, the food bonus would be the better choice.
