Even if I had known that, I wouldn't have done it. Feels like cheating. Like stabbing a vampire in his sleep. It's something no DM in their right mind would ever allow. If you were a lich and getting smacked by someone you can't see, you'd immediately start casting spells to dispel protections, gain true sight, etc. I believe that's what SCS updated lich etc AI to do if they were getting smacked by people with Protection from Undead active. Spellstrike should be not allowed either. A spell what can not be blocked with anything except a rare scroll of protection from magic i believe.

Yeah, that 40 raw damage plague of insects with 22 alchemy every 3 seconds is pretty weak lol

Chillfog is very strong. Maybe the strongest early game spell. It even blinds enemies. Empowered Minoletta" Concussive Missile (PL IV) can even kill a group of Eoten in one cast and you get it with Level 10 at Multiclass. I agree that 2 casts for one PL are not enough. It was enough with brilliant aura, but it does not exist anymore. And they should make more passives i agree.

Fully modded game with SCS had lots of tough fights. Maybe I'm a bad player, but some of them took me very long, or at least felt like they did. A fight that I remember that was part of the original game was of course Kangaxx. That took always very long and I had to reload a lot. Kangaxx and every other Lich / Demi Lich is very easy. All you need is a Scroll of Protection from Undead and he does not attack you. You just hit him and he dies. I played it solo, so i think you need for every party member a scroll.

And the good thing about my builds are they involve 0 cheesing or abuse of game mechanics whatsoever. I like to have straight up slugging fights with no stealth cheese, no choke point cheese, no op arcana scrolls, no op alchemy potions. Just a clean build + the right equipments.How do you beat the double Boars, the tigers + Drake fight, and the hordes of skeleton archer/mage in the beginning of the game? I just don't see how one character, regardless of build, with starting equipment and missing item slots tanks four higher level creatures with no strategic use of fight mechanics on PotD By abusing this games silly AI. I cleared them with a lvl 4 ghostheart/Ascendant by using a barrel next to the stairs as a chokepoint where I summoned my bear. Then I focused on charming their heavy hitters while shooting at the wurms. Drake and one wurm was pulled separately by using sparkcrackers from the south edge near the gunpowder barrel, one shot with the Arqeubus on the barrel hurt them badly and they came at me up the stairs. But yeah, without any kind of cheesy tactic I very much doubt that it's even possible. I know it's possible, but the person I was quoting said he didn't abuse chokepoints Easy with a Paladin / Rogue combo. Use Arbalest or Arquebuse in sneak mode with Flames of Devotion for one free shot what starts combat. The second shot should kill the enemy. Now use smoke veil out and the enemies always deaggro and you can kill the next one. I did it that way.

#1 Fair Favor Headgear should be available in a quest, where even a solo player can get it. There is only a limited amount of headgear and most of them are not good, but the best one is only available for party play. #2 Half of the ship battles don't give any decent loot. You always lose money if you do them and have to buy repair / medicine (like the Giants in the north). That should be changed, that those ships give better loot, but are harder to fight.

I used "did not forged the blade in poe 1" and got it. I'm confused. Well, i don't know if they changed it in the patch, but logically it would be, when it's forged in PoE 1, how should it be possible to reforge it in Deadfire, when it's allready forged? They give you only the parts, not the whole sword, because you can get three different ones out of them.

Well i play a Monk / Animist at the moment. Until Level 13, he is not very good. But with high Alchemy and Plague of Insects, the game becomes more easy. But the build is not good at all, because alchemy should not give power levels to plague of insects, it's a bug. Without that, you would not deal enough damage and the monk is not really strong compared to a wizard / chanter build.
