  1. 2H and 1H are pretty ****ty compared to dual wield full attack, even after the nerf. Scordeo's Edge with adaptiv is just too good.
  2. Did not even took in the first game any companions, always crafted my own ppl, cuz they are just plain better statswise.
  3. Holy Crown: Complete the game on Expert, Trial of Iron, and Path of the Damned with all God Challenges enabled. (20 new game points) Holy Crown Solo: Complete the game on Expert, Trial of Iron, and Path of the Damned with all God Challenges enabled while not taking any Companions. (20 new game points) Holy Crap. The god challenges have to be well throught out, otherwise it would be impossible to do it solo.
  4. 2nd vid with holy slayer: Just wondering, how the fight goes after the full attack nerf.
  5. Good joke. Maybe i m mistakten, but i just read the description of meteo shower and holy fire and both only got a pen of 7,5, so it basically can't hit Neriscyrlas. I don't know, if +arcana nets you more penetration with it.
  6. Yeah i did the fight a second time with a Holy Slayer. Took me ~1:30 longer, but i did it on the first try without a problem. The best on holy slayer is, that FoD only needs 1 ressource instead of 2 from barbaric smash on my marauder.
  7. When i think about games like Elex, where no level cap exists, it's pretty neat, because you feel rewarded to kill enemies and it is not a waste of time like in deadfire later on. And to nerf the xp gain is just not good, because we allready know how it is, with the full xp gain. Now it would disappoint many ppl they allready played the games for long.
  8. In Diablo 2, the enemies grew stronger, based on how much player were in the game. Maybe something like that can be in deadfire too.
  9. Fighters were Tier 1, as mob stance attacked every enemy around you with a full attack, when you downed one previously. Unbeding had 50% health gain instead of 25%. B4 they buff the fighter, they should rather buff the druid / ranger trash tier. Neither of those classes is bad. Druid is very strong as a primary caster, and ranger, for all that its options prior to PL 7 or so are pretty uninteresting, is perfectly serviceable on account of account of its giant pile of accuracy buffs and pet. Ranger in particular could be more dynamic, and druid is sort of unfocused in the context of multiclassing (it made a lot more sense in PoE1 when it occupied a weird, unique sort of gishy-squishy role), but both are serviceable. I forgot to mention, for me a class is only good, if you can solo the game with it and do every fight on potd upscaled.

  11. Confusion is pretty bad now. Terrified is the new CC to go (Ryngrim's Repulsive Visage + Enervating Terror), because enemies are unable to attack you. The higher your INT, the longer the effect. Ningauths freezing pillar is a pretty good AoE spell and minoletta's missile salvo possible the best nuke in the game.
  12. I updated the wiki for Adra ban: Engwithan Titan (Poko Kohara Ruins) [x1] Sand Blights to the east in the same area (Poko Kohara Ruins) [x1] Level 2 of the Temple in Poko Kohara, in the secret room with the soul bound dagger Marux Amanth [x1] Port Maje - Starting Island - Engwithan Digsite Level 1 - In the secret room, open it with the necklace you found [x2] That are, i believe, the only fixed locations in 2.01. All other may be random. In my recent playthrough and that before, i always found those 5 there.
  13. Exactly that is the problem - some classes are just screwed by Empower. How often are you running out of resources? If you mean "i can't use spell 4 times in row" i think that's intended, because why would you use spells other than your preferred ones? But i agree, running out of resources is large problem esp. up to the point where you meet Aloth. There IS a "legit" to regenerate resources during fight - have a Cipher. He can provide buff that restores resources, and Ascendant can quickly apply it to entire party if you set up his AI Edit: I'd love to see "attrition" encounters that will force player to think twice about saving abilities vs spamming them, but only if these encounters are optional. "Party". What is with the solo players, they only got one class and mostly not a cipher, because that is not tier 1? For some fights, the given ressources are just not enough. The game simply isn't balanced around solo gameplay. I doubt there's solo build that doesn't skip encounters or abuse mechanics. I wish Solo was more supported, but it's not and i don't think it will change. The game is just not balanced for party. Don't know how much you want to increase the difficulty, because i can beat everything with a solo marauder, with 5 ppl i would not even consider to use empower, because it is so easy, even ond potd upscaled.

  15. Balance? If you want to balance your game, just don't use empower, what is the problem about that? No need to remove a feature, what other ppl want to use, for ppl they don't want it and just have to not press the button.
  16. Randomness is really bad idea. You fail to see problems it has. Right now you can pop Empower in every fight without any penalty. Encounters are scarce and you can rest after every encounter. Hell, you can split groups / drop combat with invis and Empower multiple times per "intended Encounter". Empower affects certain abilities much more than others. Spells that bounce, hit multiple times and/or apply debuff are much more affected by Empower than abilities that do straight damage/buff. Empowering Bounding Missiles is amazing, Empowering physical abilities/buffs/Summons is awful This leads to 2 problems: It's impossible to balance around Empower. Player1 uses Empower as intended and uses it in difficult encounters. Player2 spams Empower in every encounter, so he has much stronger offensive spells or 50% more resources. If you balance PotD around Player1 it will be laughably easy for Player2 and if you balance PotD around Player2 then Player1 will feel awful as he would have to use abuse oversight/exploit to beat the game. Once you find optimal use of Empower you will always do that because it's just superior. On healer you'll be always empowering for more casts, on Evoker you'll always go for that multi-hit spell, on Assassin you'll always empower stealth attack. There's very little actual choice. So, there are multiple solutions to this problem: Remove Empower Allow empowering subclass instead of spell or character. No more free resources, no more OP spells. Empowering no-subclass Wizard would allow you to cast any spell of your PL or lower, empowering Soul Blade would make you cast Reaping Knives on self, empowering no-subclass Ranger would give your pet massive combat boost for a while, Black Jacket would reload all his guns, Troubador would chant 2 phrases at same time for a while etc. Resting doesn't restore Empower points unless you rest in Tavern (doesn't fix the other issue) It's a single player game. You don't have to use empower at all. Why does it bother you, when ppl just play the game, how they want to play it?
  17. Full Attacks made while dual wielding will now receive a -35% penalty to the damage they deal. Ok let me get this straight. B4 the patch: One Handed Style: Crap Two Handed Style: Crap Two Weapon Style: Very Good After the patch: One Handed Style: Still crap Two Handed Style: Still crap Two Weapon Style: mediocre So, who come up with the idea, to nerf the one style that worked, and not buffing the other two styles, they nobody in the right mind picked? What were the developers thinking? INB4 Threads with the title: Bring back the full attack of TWS and buff the OHS / THS instead.
  18. Ofc, nobody that plays in a party, needs that crap. But for solo players in long fights, it is essential to regain some ressources, because you have only 1/5 of that, was a party has. Oh wait, there is a damn solution. If you want to balance potd late game, JUST DONT USE EMPOWER AT ALL. Not even the figurine nerf was necessary. They just had to make it impossible, to cast more than one figurine at the same time or for one encounter. And the idea with the rest restriction is just bad. Some ppl would just enter the world map, rest, and go back in. Nothing more than a real time waste and i don't want that.
  19. To say: Stunning Surge ---> Barbaric Smash With a full attack, you have 2 chances to crit and get the cost of 2 mortification back. For barbaric smash you have to kill the enemy.
  20. +You definitely need nemnok's cloak, because you can't see your health bar in frenzy status.
  21. Well, there was a chart somewhere, on which day you could get which "random" loot in that chest, like the gloves of mechanics.
  22. Spirit Frenzy for stagger Affliction and Spirit Tornado for terrify affliction is miles better than the other option. You should get rhakan field boots and nemnok's cloak.
