Well, it's not a huge advantage right now per se since no one releases games on DVD. Some people like to watch DVD's on their computer, but that's not my thing. You can watch Terminator 2 on your computer in a higher resolution than is possible on a HDTV since they have a Windows Media 9 version of Terminator 2 on the DVD. The real big advantage is storage. A DVD has much more storage room (4 gigs?) than a CD-ROM.

Before going to mounts, how about first making planets that consist of more than three areas? Honestly, I don't need a horse to go from my kitchen to my living room. Damn good point. No debating that. FrankK mentioned in his interview that the levels were prelit and fairly complex. I wonder if the complexity of the level editor contributes to that lack of size in the game.

Fair enough. I think a good compromise is to release two forms of packaging. Release the full box, manuals, etc with cd's. Release a small DVD box with a DVD of the game. With the packaging being clearly different, I don't think people will buy the wrong version so much and everyone is happy.

Vader had the look and the voice. But in the long run, I'll go with a Hanibal Lechter, or Thrawn villian. Now, if James Earl Jone's voice were applied to a Thrawn style villian, watch out!

You can't use that logic forever, or you'll neve change media. Someone has to be the trendsetter. DVD's are the way to go. DVD drives are as cheap as $30-$35.

The argument had two points going though. Opus and Ender were also talking about the philosophical nature of the Matrix for quite some time now. As for reprimanding Opus, re-read the thread. Opus is being just as aggressive about how Ender is clearly "wrong" as Ender is being to him. I show respect and civility to those who show it to me.

Well, Friday seems to be most popular choice so far. We'll either meet in a chat room, or via a program like WebRPG. I haven't looked at online RPG programs in a while, but there are a few out there designed to running an online game. I'll look and see if I can find a good free program.

Most people I know love it. Maybe that is the lowest common denominator. But we're talking about art, which is subjective. I like classical music, but I'm no expert. All I know is that the score for Episode 1 gives me goosebumps. I can quantify that.
