I haven't debated in college, but I suppose that works. I'm uneducamated-like-that.

Now if only I could clone a George Lucas and program him to allow me to do Episode 1 - Special Edition -
That may be the case. I imagine that for the most part design comes before the programming, but the designers do continue to work during the process, so not all of the design is done ahead of time.

I searched and searched many a time because it bugged me that I never completed what appeared to be an obvious quest. I think I hit a bug somewhere.

Poll: Odds of Bastila coming back

Yes, all the while offering to "Pump Us Up". "It's not a tumor!" -
I never found or met Sunry's wife. And I went back to Manaan several times because of the Geohardan quest.
-
Oh. I could never seem to complete that quest. In fact, I couldn't start it. I went back with Jolee. The hotel clerk mentioned the murder, but no one asked me to handle the case.

Poll: Odds of Bastila coming back

Right now we don't know much about the new characters or plot line, so it will be rather difficult to speculate how the characters from the two games converge. So I will continue to throw out Cyborg speculations. Maybe Bastilla is an evil Cyborg sent from the future to kill us all in KOTOR:2, and Revan comes back as a Cyborg programmed to protect us. -

Maybe Jar-Jar should be the exception. I think adults have no problem reading that many lines, but kids might. As I kid I had no qualms reading Jabba's lines because the Rancor Pit scene was so cool. Ackbar spoke Basic after-all. -
Are you talking about the trial on Dantooine? I didn't have Jolee with me at the time.

I will watch the movie out of curiousity, and I found some of his opinions in Bowling for Columbine interesting. The way he pointed to the media's attention to violence was interesting and fresh. However, check out these links. The Truth About Bowling For Columbine Moore Exposed He's not merely a propogandist, which I can live with to a certain extent, though it ruins the spirit of a documentary. He is a flat out liar. And his stunt at the Oscars was also rather childish and uncalled for. I have no respect for Moore whatsoever.

I think having actual alien tongues makes Star Wars seem more like Star Wars. I can't picture Jabba speaking in English with some ridiculous accent that alludes to a human ethnicity. -
Niftyness. I can be down for that.
-
Hrm. Perhaps I should go back and read the Zahn trilogy again. It had a much better climactic finale.

I am just going to give the Jedi characters 5 dice to split up amongst the three Force Powers. I will compensate the non-Jedi in other ways. Not to mention that Jedi get a lot more shit thrown their way in terms of challenge and difficulty.

I seriously doubt she will be left out completely. She had enough fans out there, and she was pivotal to KOTOR's storyline (maybe a little too pivotal). -

Here, it took me a while to find. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Imagine for a small moment that George Lucas hands me the script for Episode 1. The basic story of Naboo, Anakin, The Trade Federation, Darth Maul, etc. are fine. They're not great, but it's passable. Change #1 - The aliens in the movie speak in alien tongues with subtitles. Get rid of the childish accents that make the movie come across as racist. This applies to Jar-Jar as well. He was silly, and I didn't care for him. But change his voice and he comes MUCH more bearable. Change #2 - Eliminate every use of the word "Yippee!" Change #3 - Eliminate the midichlorian Blood Test. Merely have Qui-Gon look sagely at Anakin and say "I can sense he is strong in the Force. Perhaps as strong as Master Yoda..." He can then stroke his chin and go "Hmm...." Change #4 - Add a small introduction scene in for Darth Maul. We never see him act evil in this movie. Perhaps if we see him dispatch of someone early on, it will add a sense of creepy forboding as he stalks down the Jedi. Change #5 - Tweak Maul's death. The whole duel was good up to that point. In fact, it was great. Obi-Wan should have killed him with a daring and dangerous manuever. As it stands, Maul stood around and waited to be chopped in half. Change #6 - Anakin is the most poperful Force User in the Galaxy. He's a great natural pilot, and a Pod Racing champion. Why was the Space Battle some big accident that he didn't know what he was doing? Make Anakin defiant from day 1. He steals the ship and intentionally saves the day. Obi-Wan is mad, but Anakin did save the day after-all. It establishes Episodes 2 and 3 much better. You already have a fairly talented cast, and one of the best damn scores I've ever heard. ILM did a pretty good job with the movie. They invented THX 6.1 sound for the movie, for crying out loud. The two-headed announcer for the Pod Race looked pretty silly, but no one's perfect. All of that could have been handled with minor reshoots or edits in post-production. Go back and watch the Duel of the Fates music video. Watch the final trailer. Both give me goosebumps. This movie had potential. Now, another adjustment could make the movie even better, but it's not simple. You need a full script-rewrite. The movie is a series of meetings. This group meets and discusses this. The next group discusses that. Alot of the story could be told through action rather than dialogue. People have heard of the Fan-Dom Menance? Where people did a few small edits and the movie played much better? Imagine doing a similiar project, but instead of just cutting scenes out all-together, you replace it with some flash animation. I'm lazy and can't draw, but I think it would be great. You couldn't distribute it though. It would be very illegal. -
Seems like a good concept. I might recommend dropping one of the dice out of lightsaber and adding some Dodge. It's nice to have from time to time, but you don't have to.

Or a Cyborg Bastilla is sent from the future to kill us all. -
These are all fine, but as a friendly word of advice, this belongs in the KOTOR suggestions area, not the Obsidian General Suggestions area.

There was another thread where I listed how six small changes would drastically change Episode 1. I think the story and movie were redeemable. -

Perhaps the story would have been better if they didn't start with a really young Anakin, or if George Lucas could write for a kid. -

Someone used a Genesis device which somehow rewrote the entire Star Forge, but recreated perfectly the dead Bastilla. -
Just turn off the lights. It'll be alright.
