  1. I think the game had depth, but it lacked closure. I spent far more time thinking about the concepts and plot of this game than any other Star Wars game to date.
  2. Yet I believe Obi Wan mentions the Old Republic stood for a thousand generations in Episode IV. Don't tell me Lucas screwed up his own continuity!
  3. Only twice today? Okay, here's a pic of a real hardcore Fallout fan.
  4. Spiderweb Software by Jeff Vogel is a good example.
  5. There'll be no escape for the Princess this time. She'll be forced to star with Mario in Mario 128 on a next gen console. (Try to incorporate a Star Wars quote, and the tie it back in with the topic).
  6. We found some possible suspects.
  7. Reason number 2 is why I believe in infinite space. I know the popular theory is that space is finite, and that we exist in a bubble that both expands and contracts as density of the universe fluctuates. However, we also theorize that objects of higher density ALWAYS move towards areas of lower density. What elastic shell exists at the end of the universe that allows for contraction and expansion, but keeps everything else inside said shell? How does said shell stay intact for billions of years without decay? Wouldn't objects moving towards the shell collect at the shell eventually?
  8. Jesus Saves. Allah Protects. Cthulu thinks you would make a nice sandwich.
  9. I don't think he's upset about it, because I don't think he would agree with you. It's pretty hard for him to be upset about something he fails to realize about himself. I think he is frustatrated with mediocrity. I'm not trying to slam on him with that statement, but I must say that having a small level of talent is one of the worst things in the world. You're called to creative output, and yet you can't thrive and succeed because you only have enough talent to suit up and play. Weiser has infinitely more talent that I do when it comes to drawing. Despite that, he doesn't have the talent to take his work so damned seriously.
  10. I read that with a pen in my mouth. I have an oral fixation.
  11. I believe Episode 1 says that the Republic hasn't had a full-scale war in 1,000 years.
  12. Good is caring about the well-being of people? Then I have a A Modest Proposal For Preventing The Children of Poor People in Ireland From Being Aburden to Their Parents or Country, and For Making Them Beneficial to The Public
  13. Secretaries Day is the same day as Earth Day. Neither get a full day to themselves, and we walk all over both.
  14. Nice excuse for a Star Wars quote. Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force.
  15. I think we are definately on that track currently, but at some point we will get diminishing returns in a super-competitive market, and people will get tired of taking losses, or working for nothing. At that time either the industry will recede, or an innovation will allow a great ammount of work to be done far more efficiently. Games like Spore allow for lengthy, dynamic gameplay where the content is largely user-created. Not everyone digs Sandbox games, but I'm sure some of the concepts of Sandbox games can be applied to other genres.
  16. Clearly Super Fly is a great KOTOR name.
  17. That may or may not be true. There are many tales of who invented the first flush toilet and it has neither been proven or disproven that Crapper (I've also heard Thomas Crapper) invented the john. Toilets were originally called water closets however.
  18. Most people think they are above average drivers, and have above average taste as well. Yet they don't quantify it. I've witnessed people try and claim 200 IQs fairly often in pissing contests amongst so-called intellectuals. Too bad they obviously aren't familiar with scales for IQ tests, nor do they release the supposed highest IQ score in the world is something like 212. Marilyn von Savant or someone like that. I can honestly say that I average about 135-140 in IQ tests, which only measure a fairly specific form of logic. They don't measure overall intelligence. I am probably the fastest learner I've ever met in my life. In every standardized test I've ever taken in my life, I score in the 99 percentile. I don't consider it arrogance to then quantify myself above average for intelligence.
  19. There is a D&D comedy bit. It's pretty funny. One small bit from it goes something like this... I wanna cast...Magic missile! Why do you want to cast magic missile, there's nothing to attack here. I...I'm attacking the darkness!
  20. But I think there is some room for being subjective. For instance, many people define altruism as good, and selfishness as evil. A philosophy like Objectivism, on the other hand, defines selfishness as good (though it doesn't use the conventional definition of selfishness), and altruism as evil. But going by the definitions provided in the Player's Handbook, altruism is good, while a philosophy like Objectivism is Chaotic Neutral, so there is considerable disagreement over the terms good and evil. Your definitions there seem to be of Lawful Good and Chaotic Evil. What about an evil tyrant who holds an iron grip on order and the structure of his nation, in order to benefit almost solely from it's orderly functioning? Or a freedom fighter who brings down said tyrant and destroys the structure of government? Those would be Lawful Evil and Chaotic Good (thought the latter could also be CN), respectively. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What about necessary evils? Is industrialization evil? Historians will tell you the invention of the automobile can be attributed to more deaths than most wars. What about culling human lives to preserve and protect society? From a pure logical standpoint, it benefits more lives than are taken. Yet any practice that involves killing a human is seen as evil and barbaric. Some would argue that all violence is evil, even when protecting others.
  21. So you cast magic missle into the darkness?
  22. 50 points to those who have read Ender's Game.
  23. Bush is talking about an amnesty program for aliens. That might help.
  24. I prefered Crystal Tab actually. Every once in a few years I still see a machine that sells Tab cola. But I don't think Tab cola is produced anywhere. I think this is someone's personal stock-pile of Tab cola from the 70's being sold here and there today. Starfish have no brains, much like Yankee fans. And the only thing cool about New Coke was the Max Hedroom commercials.
  25. House Party 5 will make House Party 4 look like House Party 3. And X-Men 3 will make House Party 5 look like Citizen Kane. We were on topic the whole time.
