I wouldn't call it a B movie. A film outfit in Britain dedicated to making a faithful adaptation of the book finished filming War of the Worlds before Speilburg had filmed anything. Once Spielburg heard about this, they started a media war trashing the other production. There is no need. One movie is a faithful adaptation in a different time period, and one a is a modern reinvention that doesn't actually feature Martians. Spielburg has been rushing through this movie as quickly as possible to get it out before the other version.q

Vin Dielsel also did movies like Saving Private Ryan, and the Boiler Room. I think he's a decent actor that takes some really horrid roles from time to time.

Actually, I used mines in the same exact place. The Rancor is the same beast in Jabba's palace in Return of the Jedi. That's easy to remember. Taris I remember because it was the largest, most developed planet in KOTOR. You could sneak past the Rancor, or you could use explosives and some pheromones near some food to blow him up. But I liked using mines and blasters to take him down.

Doesn't anyone remember Episode 1? Jar Jar Binks encounters Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. Qui-Gon develops enough power to cheat death and become a Force Ghost. Obi-One becomes a pimp who takes out Darth Maul, and Vader. And Jar Jar Binks trips over in Watto's workshop, knocking things around. Anakin gets a scrape, and we don't see how or where this happens. Clearly, Anakin got Gungan bacteria in his scrape, which leads to Qui-Gon testing that scrape and finding inordinate ammounts of midichlorians (With Chlorox Bleach!) in his blood. This is the same Jar Jar who puts the Emperor in power. You think Palpatine secretly controlled everyone from the shadows? Jar Jar is behind it all. Fact.

Rouge is a very old character. If I recall, her first appearance was that she was a mutant with a biker jacket hanging out with a gang that took her in. She wasn't one of the very first X-Men, but she is a very old character in the series

Lucas has mentioned Darth Bane directly in interviews, and Darth Bane originated in the Episode 1 novelization. Terry Brooks said Lucas invented Darth Bane, and explained the concept to Brooks to be put in the novelization. If you're making up a precedent of cannon, the movies come first, with the novelizations of the movie coming in at second.
