I had the same problem. KOTOR was my first real cRPG I'd ever played, and getting used to what I had to do and what these "dice rolls" were meant to do took a bit of time.

I don't think a video game forum would be a good place for a fanfic forum. They just don't seem to mix, IMO. Especially considering Obsidian has zero to do with fanfic.

So it's not "shortstories" about Revan and co. during the time period between KOTOR I and KOTOR II? Damn, that's a bit disappointing.

I don't really know enough about them, other than the small bits of info we have so far, to really say whether I like them or not. But based on that small bit of info, they have the potential to be very interesting NPCs. And personally I like it that way. I'd rather find out how good (or bad) they are when I actually play the game rather than find out everything about them now and have no surprises when I play thru.

Which is why it falls under the category of "discussion" rather than "suggestions". I'm not saying there's no place for this thread. I'm saying that the suggestions forums isn't it.

Then why is it in the suggestions forum when it's already CONFIRMED that we'll have droid companions? "Suggestions" means someone giving their idea about what they'd like to see implimented that hasn't already been added. This would be like me making a thread "suggesting" that we be allowed to be Jedi, and that maybe if we're lucky, it would be a good "suggestion" to add prestige classes like Jedi Master. In other words, I know what the poll was asking. I was wondering WHY the person was asking something that was already confirmed, and if he wanted discussion on it, then this should have been in GENERAL DISCUSSION.

Considering the reason they "bet on a little kid" was because he was believed to be the Chosen One. It wasn't just a sudden urge Qui-Gon had and said "you know, I'm bored. Lets bet on a kid and see if he'll get turned to bug squash". Looting a dead corpse for extra credits and trying to secure a kid's freedom who is believed to have enormous power are two separate things.

I heard they're not selling the game in Australia at all. Something about copyright laws dating back to the penal colony days.

Doesn't the author of the post have to include them though? I didn't think the spoiler tags were automatic, so when Joe Schmoe with zero posts signs up and posts his "LOLZ OMG Ravin iz back!" in the middle of a non-spoiler thread, I don't think the tags will help much.

If the different amazon sites are anything to go by (which they probably aren't), the US and Canadian amazon sites (amazon.com and amazon.ca, respectively) have the release date as December 6th, 2004. The UK amazon has the release date as March 5th, 2005.

I'm not American, I'm Canadian. Which brings up the question that I don't think has been answered. Is Canada considered part of the "International release" or the "US release"? Or is it called a North American release, but them yanks are so arrogant they phrased it like they're the only ones that count? :D

Just trying to lessen the blow to our Aussie buddies. If they get their hopes up they'll be just that much more shattered when their US buddies call them up and tell them how fun KOTOR:TSL is.
