  1. I love being insulted by the village idiot.
  2. I'd go with either option 1 or 3, but either will suffice as long as option 2 NEVER happens.
  3. They aren't writing a KOTOR book, per se (ie. Revan and co.), but there's a book (or books) scheduled for release in 2007 or 2008 about that time period.
  4. I'm not leaving this board, just the KOTOR forums. I'll be in and out of NWN and the general RPG forum. But probably not as frequently as usual.
  5. He's busy spending his billions, so he only gets time to play it 1 hour per week.
  6. I think it was due to the "graphical issues" that always plague PC games, that most console games don't have.
  7. I heard a rumor that MS paid Lucasarts to delay the release of the PC version until after Bill Gates has had a chance to finish the game as both LS and DS on his custom made XBox.
  8. Well Mira is his (Obsidian's) creation. So I wouldn't really hold it against him for liking her more than the previous characters.
  9. PC version will also eventually have a bunch of user-made stuff you can add to the game. XBox won't have ANY extra stuff once the game is shipped, since they're not including DLC.
  10. You mean like what was going to be in that uber module that you and mgnails were making? "
  11. That sounds about right. In other words, Nihilus is the LS endboss, Atris is the DS endboss. Unless Revan shows up and kills them both with a flying clotheslines from hell.
  12. Actually, I know you meant that (or something very similar). I just happened to quote you more for reference about the subject I wanted to comment on rather than because I disagreed with you.
  13. I think this is why I think it's ridiculous to use a character's so-called stats in d20 to discuss how powerful he/she might actually be in terms of (for lack of a better word) "real" Star Wars universe. By the end of KOTOR I, my entire party was level 20. But I think it's absurd to suggest that characters such as Juhani or Jolee are more powerful than Darth Vader just because the d20 system may indicate it. I realize that my reply doesn't really provide a better way to compare a character's strength to another character, but either way, I do think that comparing their d20 stats is NOT the way. IMO, it's apples and oranges. Unless, of course, someone actually wants to argue that Jolee and Juhani could wipe the floor with Darth Vader and give the Emperor and Yoda a run for his money.
  14. The bolded word is the key for me. I'm glad Obsidian has made sure to improve upon this. So far, I'm liking what I'm hearing.
  15. Oooow I love the way you say that <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  16. Same here. I don't think I've ever seen a single KOTOR commercial (KOTOR I or II).
  17. I'll have to wait for the PC version anyways, since that pink text damaged the hell out of my eyes and I'll need 2 months to recover.
  18. I'm with you on that. Except for the visiting the NWN2 forum. I'd rather have a giant hairless monkey jump on me than be accosted by those in the NWN2 forum. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hades_One isn't so bad once you get to know him. " :D
  19. I have no intentions of visiting this (the KOTOR) forum once the XBox version is released until I get a chance to play on the PC. I'll drop by the NWN or general rpg forum once in a while, so hopefully no one posts spoilers in either of those.
  20. There's a big thread all about it somewhere around here (I'm too lazy to link it). Search function is your friend.
  21. You mean they're not always buggy? " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, I mean that they are always buggy.
  22. Yes. I think they just stated that they'd be optional this time.
  23. I'm always skeptical about magazine reviews. Especially one known as the "Official XBox Magazine", when it comes to reviewing a soon-to-be released XBox title. Hopefully the game is a success and lives up to the hype that its garnered thus far. Obsidian seems like a good organization and it'd be good to see them get their foot in the door, so to speak, being a new company. I think with the problems/issues people have had with Bloodlines and Troika recently, Obsidian would do very well to make sure that bugs and graphical issues are as close to non-existant as is humanly possible to capitalize on the "jaded" views of customers who believe that games are always buggy. Raving reviews about how smoothly a game plays can go a long way towards making fans out of non-fans.
  24. Here's a question I was curious about (since I'm currently out of work and looking for different alternative "fields" to what I've been applying/interviewing for): When someone thinks of Obsidian, they automatically think of computer stuff, like programming and whatnot. But what I always wondered was are there non-programmer/designer positions at Obsidian? For instance, my field of expertise is Finance/Accounting/Business Admin, but yet I'd never think to apply to a company like Obsidian because of the whole initial thought process that it's a "computer specialist" company in a computer industry only. Does Obsidian (and any other game developer) have their own in-house "business" department? Does the CEO and higher ups (in this case Feargus) take care of the accounting and financial aspect of it? Or do you high outside financial firms to take care of that aspect of the business?
