It wasn't meant as a potshot. Like I said to DSLuke, I'd rather you both re-read the book, since I don't feel like typing out everything in the book to prove my point.

I actually find you amusing. The board wouldn't be the same without you.

No he wasn't. You're thinking of an entirely different fight in which Luke was brandishing two lightsabers. In the final book, it would have been impossible for his nephewS (plural) to be impressed, seeing as how Anakin Solo was dead by then and only Jacen and Jaina were in that final battle with him. And both were too busy to even see what Luke was doing. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nephews, Jacen and Jaina were fighting alongside him torwards Shimrra. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jaina's a neice. I really hope you'll concede, because I don't feel like typing out EXACTLY what was written during that battle just to prove you're mistaken.

No, he didn't. After Jacen's performance he even TOLD the entire Jedi Order that from then on they'd have to view the Force in a different way, no longer necesarily separating LS and DS. I suggest you read it again.

Yeah, and Luke admitted in the final book that he was WRONG and Vergere's views on the Force were the correct one.

Again, you mistake "fighting ability" with "most powerful Force user". Luke's ability to fight with a lightsaber is completely different than tapping in to the Force to use it's power. Jacen was able to defeat his adversary without "fighting" him. But hey, if you disagree with this, then take it up with Lucasbooks. Since they're the ones that implied what Jacen did was such a monumental feat. Personally, I still favor Yoda as the most powerful ever.

Actually, it was. Vergere commented on the fact that he was. And what he accomplished has NEVER been done by a Force user before or after, atleast without them resulting in death. Jacen tapped in to the Force in a way that no one has ever been able to. Just because it wasn't some lame thing like allowing him to destroy an entire planet by blinking doesn't mean it wasn't an extraordinarily powerful feat in the Force.

Umm, yeah. But do I have to point out what should been an OBVIOUS point about all those you mentioned? THEY'RE DEAD! Jacen Solo was able to become one with the Force and did not die in the process. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well you're contradicting yourself... If you become one with the force, than the force literally controls your actions. If Jacen became one with the force and lived, it wasn't because he was special or anything, it's because the force WANTED him to live. Now if you want to change your argument to "The force likes Jacen more than the others", go ahead <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How am I contradicting myself? You obviously have no clue what I was referring to. Try reading The Unifying Force, then respond when you have a clue.

Designer Ramblings: Beyond Kotor 2
There are a few people on this board that I'd wish that were the case. "

This changes the story?
I wish there were more threads like this around when I was a 14-year old boy. "

Nice. Another feature I'm looking forward to seeing. Hey Chris, any chance if we beg enough, that you guys can get the PC version released earlier than February? "

btw, if we're going to take Exar Kun's actions seriously, then you'd also have to acknowledge that Jacen Solo is then the most powerful Force user of all time, since he did something that not even Exar Kun can dream of: becoming one with the Force. But again, I refer back to my point about how Lucas Licensing seems to allow any idea, regardless of how lame or far fetched it is.

Sith Lord Game Book Release
I wonder how they'll pull that one off in regards to a Revan action figure. Both a male and female version sold seperately? Or perhaps two figures in one box?

Actually from what I've seen, Lucas Licensing doesn't have a very strict policy. Over the last few novels, there's been some very stupid and very lame story ideas, yet those were allowed to happen. I sometimes wonder if the people at the top (ie. those in charge of what is allowed and what isn't allowed in the novels) are actually fans of Star Wars in the sense that they actually "get" it. Or whether they're just people who look at it from a business sense and have no clue what makes Star Wars what it is.

Sith Lord Game Book Release
Good thing they pushed the gameguide back a week. That means I have one more week of posting here until I vacate the boards before all these n00bs start posting spoilers about the game. <_<

Designer Rambling: Returning Companions and Levels
Meh, to me it's just as much a gameplay feature as the feats and skills aspect are. Sure they affect the story, but their purpose is gameplay related. *shrugs* Ah well, your choice. I know I'm going to keep an open mind and enjoy the new features while not dwelling too much on what I might have changed or done differently if I had the ability to make the game.

Designer Rambling: Returning Companions and Levels
The "influence" factor that Chris Avellone commented on is a game feature moreso than a story element. I'm not sure how your analogy to reading a novel fits.

Why? For the most part it's been a discussion. I don't think I've flamed Hades in this thread and vice versa, and neither have 99% of the replies.

That's fine, but you don't seem to take into account what they've added to the experience. Are you telling me that the fact that NPCs will react to your actions to a greater degree than pretty much ANY game out there isn't a reason to overlook some modifications to the rules? I would have thought the positives they've added would far outweigh any negatives.
