Humans generally dominate the Star Wars galaxy in terms of population size. Sith are probably like their Empire decendants in which there is a strong anti-alien bias, although that might have been just an oversight on Bioware's part (I don't know enough about the Sith and their teachings during that time). As far as why the PC is human only, I'd guess it's to do with any romance angles. It'd probably mess things up having a playable Trandoshan romancing a human female.

Even if the announcement of going gold doesn't happen too far ahead of actually shipping, that doesn't explain why lucasarts' own online store still doesn't have pre-ordering available. Afterall, you can pre-order already from amazon or electronics boutique, so I'm not sure why LA is behind.

Where'd you get this "15 days left" thing? I don't think Lucasarts has confirmed the release date yet, so if you're just going by amazon or whatever, you might find yourself disappointed.

For those who say that KOTOR failed in their "Redemption" theme, what would you suggest they should have done instead? Could you provide some examples of what you think should have taken place? I'm asking an honest question, because most replies have been about how they did things wrong, but haven't really stated how they should have done it.

I just thought of a scenario where a sacrifice by Jolee could have meant something in the overall scheme of things. On the Rakata unknown world when Revan is about to enter the temple, Jolee comes running up and says he has a bad feeling about this. The Rakatans say that only Revan can enter to avoid what happened last time. So then Jolee is faced with a dilemna; to appease the Rakatan, Jolee can either agree to stay within the temple for eternity once he enters, so that he can help Revan with his quest, or he can decide he's not going to sacrifice himself and thus Revan must enter the temple alone. In other words, Jolee agreeing to the stipulation that he must live the rest of his days within the temple should he enter would be him sacrificing himself for Revan and the galaxy's destiny.

Not sure if it's really "plot", but the thing that has always stood out for me that I didn't like was how no matter if you were a level 1 nothing on Taris, or a level 20 Sith Lord with the DS oozing out of your pores, but everyone hostile towards you remained hostile with no differentiating actions. It would have been so much better if those who realized you were Revan would then shrink back from you and either side with you, or get out of your way.

I have to disagree with the original poster. Dark is the way to go, especially when you're trying to convey the peril of the PC as the last known Jedi. Besides, it's much more exciting and a lot more tension if you feel like the entire world is falling apart around you.
