KOTOR 2 is IGN RPG GOY
That would be enough features for me to already dislike the game, had I been anxiously anticipating all of them throughout the entire development process. That would be like the Sith Lords game shipping, then we find out we can only play as a male, only play as a Light Side character, there is no influence option, and the game is even shorter than KOTOR1. That's pretty much what it seems like Fable became. A complete shell of its former self.

Do you mind if the devs had more time?
I don't think the lagging issues are the biggest thing the XBoxers are complaining about. I'd say it's more the freezing or the broken quests or the inability to even load the game that ranks high up there. I'm not worried about lagging, because generally with a PC there's ways to work around that that you can't do with an XBox. But broken quests and games not even loading properly is a different story.

But the bugs present are all on what amounts to the exact same system specs (ie. the Xbox). Therefore, they should be easier to fix since it's not like they are caused by different system configurations. I can deal with the odd bug that eventually gets patched. But after all the issues with the XBox version, and the extra 2 months, most of the game stoppers better NOT be present.

I hope you mean fleshed out.

I think it's a little late for the XBox version, but as much as I've looked forward to this game, I wouldn't be against a delayed PC release date if and only if they can deal with all the bugs and issues that have plagued the XBox version. If nothing gets fixed (or bare minimum gets fixed, but game stoppers still exist), then I don't see any point in a delayed release.

KOTOR 2 is IGN RPG GOY
Based on the majority of comments/reviews/rants/previews/ratings I've read about it, it seems that stating "a few features were cut" is grossly understating the situation.

A Plea to Lucasarts/Obsidian
Maybe they wouldn't be in financial trouble if they actually had a clue what they were doing. <_< The backlash they received and the bad reputation they endured because of the whole "simultaneous release" fiasco alone is enough to hurt their market share and possible revenue. A company reaps what they sew.

You're the first person I've seen that's actually commented positively on Fable without following up that positive comment with "However, ....." and rattle off its faults.

Spike TV video game awards
Too often, isn't that what the "general" gamer deems a good game nowadays? Eye candy? It's a sad state of affairs. <_<

KotOR 2 reviews
Chris Avellone already responded to that in a post a while ago. I haven't played the game yet, so I can't personally give my view, but either a)it was confusing how it was written or b)these reviewers don't even bother playing the game and just see someone else mention the word "amnesia" and add it to their review. Because the OFFICIAL stance on this is that the PC does NOT have amnesia.

How many devs still working on the pc version?
Yes. It's titled "KOTOR3"

New Jedi Knight Game
That was one of the positives, as far as I was concerned. I don't like playing an existing character (Revan was an exception because, technically, he wasn't "existing" before KOTOR was made).

Gamespot releases game of the year nominees...
Maybe just an oversight on their behalf? But yeah, that does sort of make their reviews seem....lacking in credibility if a game that they gave a higher score to doesn't even get a nomination in their own year end awards.

How many devs still working on the pc version?
Would it be weird if I wanted to kiss you for this bit of information?

Will Obsidian provide new discs?
Poor, poor, unknowledgeable n00bs. Had you been around longer or followed the boards longer, you'd have seen a few posts about how TSL will not have Live content.
-
Do you think KOTOR 3 is already being developed?
If KOTOR3 is planning to use the same engine as 1 and 2, then I'd bet that development has already been started on it, much like Obsidian had started developing TSL around the same time KOTOR1 was released. If KOTOR3 is planning to use a new engine, then I'm not so sure it has begun production.

The music
Understandable. I might have just misread that (most likely, since I got zero sleep last night), but it just sounded a bit funny that you were complaining about the "dark and grim" theme of the music, but then used as your example what are considered "dark and grim" Star Wars themes from the movies.

Do the Devs owe us an explanation?
My thinking as well. It's probably better for them to have a solution or answer to these problems before they answer, so that they can actually solve or answer concerns, rather than just show up to say "hey, yeah too bad about those issues. we don't know what to do with them yet".
-
The music
Kind of ironic that you're complaining about the "darker" or grim music, but then mention two pieces of music that are most associated with the "dark" characters (Maul and Vader).

Influence system, can it be modified for the PC?
I doubt you'd see this modified in the PC version. I'm betting this is a MAJOR chunk of coding and would need an extensive overhaul to "fix" it.
-
Influence system is flawed!
But what's the point of turning someone to the DS if they're still going to be upset if you torture that innocent farmer for information?

V.I.P rings..
You - Darque - back in the kitchen!

Influence system is flawed!
This looks a bit disappointing if the influence does in fact work this way. It sounds like if the NPC is a "good" person, they'll always expect you to do the "good" thing, even if they themself are completely DS on their Light/Dark meter. <_<

Still amazed at the pos random # generator
I...uh...think you posted in the wrong forum.

V.I.P rings..
Haha I feel like a dolt. I didn't know you could actually click on the black/white ring to bring you to the dev's post. I just thought it was there to indicate they had posted, but that you'd still have to search the entire thread to find it.
