  1. and since game companies like to know about their players as well, i made the suggestion....
  2. combined with the ring (?) of jumping and the featherfall spell, you could have quite a lot of fun... the one thing that really annoyed me with morrowind was the dialogue system. after a while, it became really difficult to keep track with the conversations. a kotor with the size of morrowind would be great...
  3. we had that power in kotor- force breach could temporarily block the opponent from the force. a more powerful version could extend that period. on the other side, it could be just someone who's sick of "the force mumbo-jumbo" and just stops using it (well, except maybe in some convenient moments... you WILL go out with me... no, i DON'T need to pay this meal...)
  4. Oh... sorry about that. hope you get well soon. i have posted a question on vehicles before, but didn't get an answer. so, maybe they are thinking about it or already have it- otherwise they'd just have said no multiple cities would be real nice, but as they said that kotor2 will be about the same size... it would be fine by me, if they'd skip the ebon hawk thing alltogether and would place the story on a single planet- lots of cities, lots of locations...
  5. i know- but so far, these havent been great hits. skywalk- uh, hamill had also a couple of movies after and during SW. lets just wait and see. but i agree on the acting part. i just hope big H has taken some acting classes for episode3
  6. actually, you just start out as a jedi in the middle of a corridor and at the next cross-section, you see two plates stating "this way to lightside" "this way to darkside"
  7. is there actually something you wanted to say or are you just having a cold? care to indulge me in your stream of thoughts?
  8. nice effort, man... but without any further info on the "other project" from the devs, it ain't much use talking about this. I'd like to see an rpg where you have the option to skip the majority of combat- whether by talking your way out of it, running away, sneaking, bribing, surrendering or feinting death i'd also like to see an rpg where you'd be able to recruit gazillions of companions- i am thinking suikoden here, with all of them being able to join you- wanna walk around with a party of 20? no problem. this was in some ways nicely done in ToEE, but the guys wouldn't stick around it would (again) be also nice to have an rpg where EVERYTHING you do has an effect on how you are treated- stealing from someones house would just effect your "karma" in bad ways, but it would actually make the house owner hostile, the authorities suspicious etc. i'm not asking for an rpg that features ALL of this - just one of those would be quite fine with me.
  9. [quote name='Darion
  10. i used hk47 double-wielding jolee and juhani who were both double-wielding double lightsabers, with t3 mainly stainy around as a backup, beeping and irritating the heck out of opponents. frankly, i cared more for the story. but yes, combat was too darn easy because you didn't need a special tactic for anyone. my tactic was: grab lightsaber - use force wave - beat crap outta opponent
  11. why just those? i'd like to see some of the npcs on manaan, tattoine and korriban...
  12. unlocking special areas for registered users...
  13. cudgels? clubs? hitting? eh? what DO i have my wookie for? (WHAAAAR! GHAR-ROOAARRGH...) right, chewie...
  14. 1. whut? 2. well, as one still is force-sensitive, i guess so. the devs also said that you start off a jedi, so you will have force powers 3. yes- same as in kotor
  15. well, everyone but han so- uh, harrison ford went down the dump after those movies... let's see if haydn and ewan will have a post-SW career in filmmaking (actually, i would have liked to see sequels instead of prequels. skywalker as arm-choppin jedi master...)
  16. i'd rather have my opponents laugh and glee over my death... i'll take the extra seconds you have 3 characters and still manage to die?
  17. solving the planet size would be easy. take these into account: if you're on a planet like tattoine, it's very likely that you won't travel into the desert by foot (unless you are suicidal) on a planet like manaan, there would be transports going from one section of the city to the next (there actually was one- the one to the station below) so, there are two different kinds of planets: those with a lot of distance between different areas and those with structural seperation between different areas in either case, it is easy to "simulate" a large environment. in case one: use a landspeeder! that would also explain why only TWO companions join the main character at any time. the actual distance between areas could be much larger. of course, one could CHOOSE to travel by foot, yet this would take far too long (or your companions would refuse to do that) also, having a land transport might lead to side-quests (your speeder breaks down, you are attacked, you meet people on the way etc. etc.) face it- i am supposed to be travelling through the desert of tattoine with only two other guys? and i am WALKING? doesn't make too much sense case two: if i have arrived in a large metroplex like manaan city or taris, it will take time to get from one section to the next. so, i am likely to board air taxis, rail transports, tubes or similar means of transportation. these could pass by the landscape in order to give simulate a large city. this could also lead to side-quests (air taxi has a crash, tube gets stuck, rail transport is kidnapped etc) however, i am aware that obsidian is already deep into development and will not be able to implement any of this. i hope that there will be a kotor3 though and that they might take these suggestions into consideration for another sequel if they choose to create one

  19. maybe it has something to do with the characters not being able to die? as long as one of the party is still standing, you're basically invincible. no matter how many mine fields i run through- as long as i leave one person behind, it's ok.
  20. rule 152 for being a dark overlord: If I corrupt any of the heroes and turn them to the "Dark Side," I will not tell them to prove their loyalty by killing their former friends or family members. well, nartwark... i think this says it all
  21. to get you started: just pick the first one: 1. My Legions of Terror will have helmets with clear plexiglass visors, not face-concealing ones. the sith armor on taris. there ya go...
  22. http://www.wizards-tower.co.uk/page5a.htm try this one... can you find kotor in there?
  23. the option to do that would be good. especially since we see the characters running around all the time. running with drawn blasters looks stupid. there was this scene on taris- carth was nagging about him and his problems and he had weapons in his hands while he was gesticulating. looked kindda funny actually
  24. http://www.pvponline.com/ this one is great.
  25. if its an rpg, they might as well just use the same engine. i just hope that they don't try to built a story on anything that has to be licensed. they might as well just come up with some creative stuff that isn't based on anything.
