  1. sion is kept alive purely by the darkside, but it probaly isn't much of a life, atleast not as much as it is a living nightmare
  2. 1. Your right, they are insane, mabey they have a deep inferiority complex 2. Malak is an idiot, but like said above he didn't know if u had become a jedi yet, he meerly knew u were alive and on dantooine. Though he could have put 2 and 2 together and realise datooine + revan + jedi order in need of powerful jedi to help them in the war 3. They did have sheild technology at this time (IE the ebon hawk has visible shields, so why not giant warcruisers. personal sheilds are like a compact mini sheild device and just coming into use, computers are getting smaller and more portable, why not sheilds) Perhapse the sheilds were down via the jedi bording party, either way, the shots didn't hit the armor, they hit the bridge windows severaly damaging the bridge. 4. vader and sidious did not design the death star, they only built it, seperatists scientists designed it. Also, the star forge did far more then a death star, it slices, it dices, it makes capital ships and if u find right now, comes with a beautiful beach world right neay by. Not only was it a shipyard and a droid forge, but it was also a mobile giant dreadnaught armed with heavy turbolasers all over it's surface, had malak not been an idiot, and had put the starforge into dreadnaught mode, the sith would never have lost that battle, the stabalizers wouldn't matter. It could just ram through the whole republic fleet, blasting anything that doesn't get crushed to dust by being rammed by it's massive hull. It's a heck of alot bigger than the deastar too, u could see it as a tiny dot, in comparison to a STAR, it doesn't matter what kind of star it is as long as it isn't one of those weird nuetron stars (and it wasn't) even if seen as a speck, if it compares to a star, it's pretty dang big. 5. Malak was an idiot 6. see point 5 7. Malak just tagged along, they were buddies back at the academy so he just assumed the title. Revan didn't seem to care, though obviously as seen through the course of the game, he would have been better off with hk as his aprentice. 8. You wiped out a good portion of the command crew, they were in chaos. 9. see point 5
  3. If they don't have a seperate head model like in kotor 1, how will they switch body models for armor and robes? Or am I mistaken about what I'm talking about.
  4. neither is atris, that has been stated by akari already hmmm no shadow, mabey it's just the lighting, or mabey this character is some sort of ghostly entity.
  5. White hair is in no way a definitive sign of age. Perhapse they wanted to be original and throw in a young person with naturaly white hair, or perhapse is it possible that the character died her hair white. U can see in the pics that she looks pretty dang young. Compare her to kreia, there is a world of difference. As for the whole "it's pixels argument" it's pointless. The pixels are a represtation of an artist created image/ model, TV uses pixels. It's not real, ur right. But who says because someone/something is merely computer generated it can't look attractive? But what the heck, ur opinion is ur opinion. If u think the subject is null then just don't post, save urself some time and energy u could use to do something more positive. The point of the thread was to see who people thought was more attractive. But whatever
  6. white hair does in no way mean someone is old, it could simply be blue lighting aplied to a very light platinum blonde. Or she could simply have white hair. Who cares, one of the player character head has white hair, does that mean that one is older then the rest? No. Besides it's a sci-fi game, hair can be whatever color they want it to be.
  7. are u saying it can't compete?
  8. for some reason I don't think thats atris. Atris' clothes are completely different, it may be a pc, or someone wearing white robes with a hood up. Look close at the face, mabey it's just a placeholder. But who knows EDIT: Dang it, akari already said it, but atleast we know for sure now it's not atris
  9. If I recall the line is "Wipe them out.......... All of them" Here's what I got from the films or atleast what I think I got from them: Darth Sidious manipulated the senate into creating tarrifs on trade and imposing harsh taxes on trade routes. This got them ticked at set up the rise of the seperatists. Furthermore he pinned the trade federation againts naboo to kill amidala (to get the military creation act passed, he would have to get rid of padme, the lead oposistion to the military creation act) At the same time he rose to supreme chancelor using the naboo chrisis he created. Maul was under the impression that they were going to use the angered trade federation and other large companies/organizations harmed by the trade laws/taxes/tarrifs. He was to protect to protect the federation and make sure that padme would be assasinated afterwards. The trade federation's failure set back his plans for military creation. And thus he had Duku have a clone army made by the kaminoans for a battle ready force to be introduced in the war to come. In Episode 2 duku has swayed the corperations to break off from the republic and start a war. Meanwhile palpatine has been molding anakin, telling him to trust his emotions no matter what they are, stroking his ego. Duku is ordered (by sidious) to yet again try to assasinate amidala. This would like most of palpatines ideas, serve a duel purpose. His oposition to creating a miltiary would be gone, and anakin would be consumed by hatred, and become his ultimate pawn, striking down duku for the assasination and becoming the cold apprentice to sidious, darth vader. However this failed, so he manipulated anakin, driving him to search for his mother, who he had already placed in the hands of the tusken raiders, as a back up plan, and to possibly futher enrage anakin if the death of padme wasn't enough. Anakins mother's death drives him to the darkside, he then procedes to wipe out an entire tusken enclave out of anger, slaughtering all he could find. The darkside was growing within him. And thus palpatine placed the final few peices. He had obiwan captured only after he could transmit the message of coming war. Manipulating the weak mind of jar jar allowed him to propose giving supreme powers to the chancelor. He then manipulated the entire senate. Given supreme power he used the already made clone army to start a war with the seperatists. Duku had been using the seperatists to create plans for the death star, the imperial weapon that would secure a hold on the entire galaxy. Duku doesn't see Sidious' plot to betray him and have anakin take his place. And thus he is a meer pawn. The war begins and palpatine in ultimate controle of it's fate. And so begins his rise to power. On the topic, yeah they do resemble the robes in the films a bit, but then again the robes in the films weren't all too original to begin with. Not that anythings wrong with them or anything like that
  10. First of all, lucas isn't making this, obsidian is, second of all, they're testing for the next few months, I don't think testing realy takes too much time, so I don't think we have much to worry about in that aspect of whether time taken out for several months of testing/polishing will cut out large portions of the game. I'm looking forward to a november/ december release
  11. A good plot usualy comes with a good plot twist. Without it everything becomes a straight forward, do this, do this, do more of this, do this do this, continue doing this, done, game
  12. there will be plot twists, but no giant huge one like kotor's reveal. What kind of game storyline doesn't have a plot twist?
  13. how about we find out that the player is....................... Revan in hiding. LOL
  14. It's not intended to replace actaul human interaction, however they are a good thing in games. They just need to be done right
  15. gameplay and story are 2 completely seperate things. Certain aspects of gameplay are based on story (IE force powers, star wars story) Romance options can add to the main story. And if done right can play a major part in that story
  16. how much more can u devote to the gameplay aspects of an RPG. gameplay is always going to be the same old, stats and feats decide the winner. With gameplay like that u need to focus on the story ALOT
  17. Multiple relationships, without gay/lesbian options. And the relationships themselves need to be more complex. Ups and downs more then just flirts here and there. Perhapse a relationship where the PC gets dumped, or one that goes arigh. More realistic relationships would be nice. Romances add alot to the realism, and story of a game.
  18. when I saw the title "Attack of the clones" I assumed that clones would be the enemy... then I watch the film, and the only thing the clones are doing is saving the jedi. It makes no sense. Revenge of the Sith actualy makes decent sense.
  19. first off, yuthura isn't old or wrinkly, it's darkside veins. It puts alot of stress on the body. As for Kira Knightly I suppose she could play bastila well. But I think Liv Tyler would do a far better job
  20. As far as I know, u meet darth sion in sewers or some underground part of onederon or however it's spelled. I think it was mentioned in the last interveiw. And the endar spire was a hammerhead class cruiser if I recall the texture name.
  21. If I recall in early interveiws/magazine articles, many sith will be wearing new armor which seems to be a combination of the old sith armor and mandalorian armor or atleast in terms of looks
  22. What I think would make a good KOTOR film Cast- Revan: Tom Cruise Bastila: Liv Tyler Carth: Kurt Russel Malak: Vin Deasil Bandon: ??? Uthar: Patrick Stewart Canderous: Ron Perlman Jolee: Morgan Freedman Hk-47: CGI character, voiced by the same guy who did hk in kotor T3-M4: CGI character or mechanical puppet, with computer generated sounds Yuthura: Angelina Jolee Mission: Hilary Duff Zaalbar: anyone tall that can make wookie sounds Alot of the story would have to be cut out to make it not an overly long and boring film. So the dantooine training would be for the most part skipped to the part with the temple. Then korriban and kashyyk would be explored for star maps. Most of both would be skipped besides a few tombs and the whole freeing the wookies quest. Then the leviathan and the unknown world and the star forge. Alot of taris would also be taken out
  23. The LOTR would trounce any star wars film, MAUAHHAHAHAHAHAH *looks at oliphants and army of 300,000 orcs and urukai, then looks at imperial walkers and storm troopers, blasters go off and miss horribly, shooting 2 walkers down and one shot burning a small whole in the armor of the mumakil (tower structure on top of oliphants) armored trolls move in and crush the storm troopers, Jedi attack, the rohirim rushes the jedi from the side, smoke rages, a storm trooper manages to actualy hit something, unforunately it was the broad side of minas tirith. Trebuchets launch peices of mina tirath at the walkers, walkers destroyed.* anyways, I enjoyed the prequels just a little less then the trilogy. But then again I don't realy idolize the trilogy that much, it gets old after a while, the prequels on the other hand loose their enjoyability and rewatch value after the 5th or 7th veiwing of the films. CG is a good thing, a very good thing, without it we wouldn't have yoda jumping around like crazy, no giant clone battle, and no coruscant. I found a rather odd realism in the first film about coruscant that was missing in the second film. However yoda in the second film looked far better then episode 1's version. It all shows an ingenious plot set up by palpatine to become emperor. Anakin's acting did suck in episode 2. And some of the scenes (IE the arm getting chopped off in episode 2 and mauls death in episode 1) were done extremely poorly. And both were in desperate need of common sense (we've got a ship here full of rockets and lasers, so lets try and shoot duku down from here with our little pea shooters and extreme poor aim with a dumb look on our faces.) but besides that they were good films
  24. Look on the lucas arts kotor 2 site, there is a concept art wallpaper showing the atris that I mean (it shows atris fighting the guy with the mask), I think theres one in concept art or somewhere lying around that just shows her with a lightsaber in a semi samuri ish pose (currently my desktop) those versions of atris I like. However the new versions done for the banners and magazine covers look awful compared to the beautiful concept art. I liked the bastila character, but after playing through numerous times the whole cracking through the tough winy ever dominant shell of bastila's emotions to get to her softer side just gets boring after a while. I hope the atris character differs from this and is just a genuinely good character that isn't overly comsumed by oversized character flaws. Both bastila and atris have about the same amount of skin showing, hands and head, besides the robe is cooler. Note that this is all just my opinion and I mean no offense
  25. I think by apealing he meant the visual aspect of the character, not the personality. And in such a case I'd have to choose concept art Atris (not promo or magazine cover atris with the weird tan and off facial structure)
