  1. on what grounds do u think the deathstar is bigger, and as for why the republic defeated it, read my above post, had malak not been an idiot and had set it up in dreadnaught mode the star forge would heave never been destroyed, it took a star to destroy it, the republic simply destroyed the stabilizers holding it implace, thus dropping it into the star
  2. the override was simply left as apart of the design and was probaly used for testing and early developement. As for the reasons for no mod support, I think one of the plausible rumors is that Microsoft is paying off LA to have modding non-supported so people want to buy it for x-box therefore increase sales for their own product rather then the PC.
  3. First off as a reply to Stoo's comment, the only reason it was destroyed was because at the time it using the orbital stabilizers to maintain a safe distance from the corona. Had it been in full battle dreadnaught mode, the republic wouldn't have had a chance. It could simply ram through them like bugs on a windshield. But malak was an idiot and without anyone running the starforge (u killed most of malaks officers, then malak who was controling it directly and thus the systems were not given the order to turn into dreadnaught mode) Bastilas battle mediation was simply helping the sith expend less resources on wiping out the republic fleet.
  4. This last question brings back memories of galaxy quest. LOL. Why forcefields, why giant holes, why everything, it's simply apart of the set created for drama and better battles. Though it doesn't completely excuse the random giant gaping holes that seem to pop up everywhere. Why put ur thrown room next to the reactor shaft...
  5. okay...... this thread has gone from interesting atris being queen/princess to bizare post death love discussion..... Say wha?
  6. The design isn't realy aerodynamic and most of what we've seen of the republic so far doesn't indicate a white/black color scheme for shuttles. It's simply an obvious link to the OT, but I don't realy have a problem with it. My 4000 YEARS EARLY comment was joking. Though it is a bit odd
  7. because of a chin being gone along with the rest of his lower jaw? that was melted off by his enchalightsaber chillie, prior to his soup incident, malak never learned, don't put lightsaber crystals or acid into ANYTHING you plan on eating! In my book, malak's still the manlinest, his suit isn't so much spandex as it is overwrapped cloth with an armor chest plate, then again mabey that counts even further towards the suggestion that he's...... Carth- second manliest, rough tough battered war hero, though he may be whiney, stupid, and all be it a bit of depressed paranoid.... hmm this is realy starting to stack up againts him Atton- The manly man, though he did get a face lift to become more of a man and less of "girlie" man look, he still looks less manly then carth and has a bad past clinging on to him. Until he starts acting like han, he'll still be the least manly of the bunch, unless that is, till the malak theory is proven.
  8. anyone notice the imperial reminicent shuttles in the BG of the picture with the sullustrian. The empire has begun, 4000 YEARS EARLY
  9. Sun Tzu stated it best. A terminator is among u. MAUAHHAHAHAHAH. Actualy it's probaly just poor animation or poor skelital set up. I remember back in Freelancer some times peoples bodies wouldn't turn and only their heads would, it realy looked weird the model like that
  10. Darth Malak, he fits the "manly" stereo type or atleast the strong stupid version of the stereotype. Strong Stupid Can't cook *he burned his lower jaw off while trying out his new soup, acid gizka noodle* Overconfident Stupid Muscle tight armor/clothing intended to help his egomania
  11. Cassus Fett: Light Purple color, cool design, bad choice of coloring Calor Nord: A sort of baise (probaly spelled way off) metalic armor with navy here and there I liked the sith armor, not for stats but for how dang cool it looked. I usualy wear robes or some interesting looking armor ingame
  12. A small moon could not be seen in comparison to a star, whereas the star forge can be seen. The energy u see entering at the bottom is (coming to that energy sphere which is brightly seen in comparison to the star, this orb or whatever one would call it is small in comparison to teh star forge) actualy stellar matter/energy which is being absorbed to produce ships, it is outside the corona of the star and apears to have sheilding, as do the ships, which likely prevent them from damage that would be caused by being so close to the corona of the star. I think the designers of the game weren't concerned with scale enough, the ship sizes change constantly. As for the death star being visible from endor, thats because it was directly above it, ofcourse they could see it, the star forge however is orbiting the Star, which is WAY further away then the death star was from endor. And the star forge is still visible from that distance
  13. I think it's way bigger then the death star. In the cuscene u can see it in comparison to a star, though a tiny speck in comparison, the fact that u can see it at such range in comparison to a star means it is massive. I think they weren't all too conscerned with scale while making the cutscenes though, the size seems to change with each cutscene. Though I'm going with the one where it is compared to a star.
  14. I think they look desert ish, not womanly though. However they do suck. Atleast in this game we get actual robes, none of this texture on robe bullcrap.
  15. to my knowledge, each had a normal saber which they built. Lightsaber building probaly become a more widely used skill among jedi, where as the first sith (this is a theory) probaly lacked theses skills, and thus used swords.
  16. That sure is a dang weird pic of duku, perhapse his jedi academy album photo, LOL, j/k. I dunno if any book specificly states when, but I'd think it was when the jedi started up or soon after. look at my above post for theories on why the sith didn't apear to have lightsabers in such times
  17. To my knowledge the "krath" were a sith-like cult on Onderon, somewhat semi-based on Dxun. I never read much about them besides the bios for Ulic Qel Droma on the database. Aparently in the empress teta system Ulic was attempting to infiltrate the krath academy. He even killed an inocent man (who was to be executed for defying the krath order on the planet) to prove he was truly a servant to the cult. However someone (I forget there name) didn't trust him, and just stabbed him with a spear with anceint sith poison, which would burn his veins till he gave into the darkside. After Ulic turned he idmediately killed "someone" and took their place as second in command of the cult. Beyonde that, and their locations I know very little about them. I think that sabers have been around for along time within star wars, but are simply very rare and most commonly weilded by jedi alone, who are the best at handling the near wheightless weapon due to their ability to command the force and there force enhanced perception. I think swords were simply a popular close range weapon. As for ajunta paul, who seems to be one of the first sith lords to come to korriban, I think the exiled jedi had their lightsabers stripped of them. And thus were forced to use swords like ajunta pauls. Vibro blade technology introduced sometime afterwards yet long before KOTOR probaly boosted the popularity of swords.
  18. To my knowledge the Force did power their technology, but the reason the star forge needed the sun is because it needed energy to convert into matter: IE ships. The star forge can detatch from the star and serve as a battle dreadnaught. I don't think it would be reliant on the star for all power if it could detatch and go elsewhere, but then again mabey it wasn't fueled by the darkside and would simply dock with multiple stars along the way while mobile. It would make more sense (atleast to me) if it were forced powered but whatever. I'd like to see something about the Great Hyperspace War or the war with Exar Kun myself, but not as KOTOR, KOTOR is the title of the series pretaining to the current content/characters. A completely off the wall sequel with no ties at all would be even less of a sequel moreso just a spin off leaching off the name of the game. If there was to be a great hyperspace war game, u could play as a 3rd explorer on Gav and Joris ship, perhapse a stoaway or something that no one would know about so it would be plausible with the rest of the story. Is it writen any where that naga sadow was a complete human. If not then Naga Sadow could be a human/sith hybrid thus provide a more diverese array of villans and heroes. One would be able to side with Luudo Kreshh or Naga Sadow while on the darkside path. While on the Lightside path u could side with Jori or some other character. Along the way u would find out u were force sensitive, and get trained somehow, perhapse since so much is going on the jedi won't throw u out because ur too old, perhapse if the character goes evil before that point they throw him out and he is forced to learn from the sith. Just an idea though Please don't start another petty argument on what pronouns are used. The character in the story I described above could also be female rather than male and vice versa, it would be like KOTOR in character creation, though due to the lack of a lightsaber so early on perhapse it would be better as an FPS like JKA or JO but with saber combat as third person. But not so unbalanced that the saber beats the crap out of anything and all other weapons are useless
  19. Grand, it doesn't matter how u spell it, drop it, u've posted off topic in 2 threads now. I don't think the devs are going to put it in just because somebody whines for it in every post. Note that no offense is intended
  20. I've replayed KOTOR atleast 5 - 7 times dang most replayable game I have AND DROP THE DANG DEAD WHEIGHT ARGUMENT
  21. Atris is dang sexy! and LA is being lazy arsed, we must assimilate more data! Resistance is futile!
  22. Dang it grand, drop the dead wheight!
  23. not sure they want to know? Then don't look if ur not sure, then when u are sure make a decision
  24. I too enjoyed the trailer. I would like it if they release tons of info, people aren't forced to read it. So if people want to spoil their experience let them. If people want a medium amount of info, let them. If people want no info, let them.
