I rather like the yoda type characters, and to my knowledge the original yoda had no legs, and was a hand puppet. Hense how his face looked whenever he finished talking IE the lower lip pushing the upper lip upward. It's on the episode 2 dvd or somethin. Talks about the original yoda and how they were going to make the 3d yoda more like him as the Episode 1 yoda was a massive disapointment aparently. Lets have a yoda dark lord. Darth Yado of dagobah.

Selkath Dark Jedi"Shleosh mooogriiiiii distinnnnnoosshhh" "Prepare to meet your doom" PC "I'll turn u into fish sticks" Selkath Dark Jedi"Shleosh mooogriiiiii distinnnnnoosshhh" "not if I turn u into fish FOOD first" PC "You said the same thing in selkath but the translation is different from before" Selkath Dark Jedi"Shleosh mooogriiiiii distinnnnnoosshhh" "they had too little time to make up a real languge for aliens, just read the translations and play along...." PC "Right.................................." Fight Ensues Selkath Dark Jedi collapses PC Option 1 "Come back to light side, the dark side is evil, just look, by being evil you are................ restricted to that one line of selkath, while most selkath get atleast 3 variants Sekalth Dark Jedi"Shleosh mooogriiiiii distinnnnnoosshhh" "Yes I want those 2 more lines, dang it, besides being DS sucks anyways, having to follow some idiot who can't even win without a superweapon, but if I was dark lord things would be different I would use the selkath to create a great empire, MAUAHAHAHAHAHHA" PC "I think ur going DS again" Selkath Dark Jedi"Shleosh mooogriiiiii distinnnnnoosshhh" "Mabey I'll stay neutral and sell kolto from here on end then I can be both good and evil at the same time, MUAAHAHHAHAHAH" PC "If u were to go neutral I'd have to finish carving u into fishy bits, atleast give jedi a discount" Selkath Dark Jedi"Shleosh mooogriiiiii distinnnnnoosshhh" "mabey *looks at PC's saber* okay I'll give jedi whatever they need for free. How about some enviornmentaly freindly kolto robes" PC "uhhh thanks......." PC Option 2 "I'll get this over with now *sabers selkath* PC Option 3 "Lets open up a sushi bar...." Selkath Dark Jedi"Shleosh mooogriiiiii distinnnnnoosshhh" "Sushi?" Selkath Dark Jedi"Shleosh mooogriiiiii distinnnnnoosshhh" "No but we can keep them in a big fish tank and pour them into the oceans and rivers of un suspecting worlds, mabey we should start with the swamps of naboo, texts speak of an idiot of untold stupidity causing the ultimate demise of the republic several thousand years ago" PC "Some how I also recall some sort of similar text in the jedi archives, what was this idiots name, Ja ja bobs? Selkath Dark Jedi"Shleosh mooogriiiiii distinnnnnoosshhh" "Something like that............." Lol just a long joke, I'd realy like to see a selkath jedi party member

Aparently they lay eggs...... I'd realy like to see them in kotor 2. But with a less neutral roll and less anger towards outsiders. It can tick one off after a while, but thats nothing compared to wookie despise from all. Atleast the selkath are just neutral and don't completely despise all non native life.

The Secret of the Sith Lords
Chemix replied to Seth Tansill's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
and how would u know, it was never realy explained. -
I'd like to see something like a saber mace, or a heavy saber that would act like a katana. Right now I think they are most comparable to the sort, and long swords. Staffs rock. A saber launcher isn't such a bad idea, though it'd be a waste of crystals. and one might as well just fire laser beams. laser stars could be interesting, but it would be far more expendable, a small disc that forms a star shaped blade around it. Interesting. As long as they don't get people who have an incredibly rediculous amount, or realy freaky sabers.

However if the sith are such lowly beings why did the sith take their name. Tales of the jedi doesn't that tell about the exar kun war? I didn't know it was a recording of the original sith corruption of korriban, the sith homeworld. Anyways, I'm just sick of sith wanna bes, they are not true sith creatures meerly followers of the ideal of the sith. Get some alien adversaries, I'm sick of fighting some sith wanna be who can't do anything without a massive super weapon backing him up
-
It's not a design flaw, this is 4000 years before star wars when jedi/sith/sabers were very common, and weren't regaurded with such as in Episode one where only one or two people u will ever see on a remote world will have them. Besides, give the player the choice.

Will KOTOR 2 have Revan in it?
Chemix replied to sideshowbob's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't care about being super powerful, I care about continuing the dang storyline. A true sequel continues the original storyline. It's not some half connected semi plot where it sort of meets up with the orriginal. Note the part "true" in true sequel, there can be plain old "sequels" but a "true" sequel continues the original storyline. -
First of all, ur missing the point, second of all, u mis under stand the meaning of super weapon. First of all, people have twisted the vision of the sith into something different? And yours is correct? or are u talking about what one novel said or what some people thought the sith? Second of all, Sith vs Republic, Empire vs Rebels, New republic versus remnant, it's all the same dang thing Third of all. A superweapon is a device capable of mass mass destruction/chaos, like the death star, the star forge, the doomgiver, ragnos' scepter, ect. ect.

Will KOTOR 2 have Revan in it?

He would have basic force abilities, and basic combat skills, and u would play through the game as revan. Alteast then it would be a true sequel.... -
Will KOTOR 2 have Revan in it?
Chemix replied to sideshowbob's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I never said he would be weak, he would be a jedi, just at level 1, atleast u would play as ur uber character again, instead of some lousy jedi exile who has forgotten how to use the force, or even weild a lightsaber. and must relearn everything, how realistic is that -
Whats so great about the sith, because it is their twisted ideals that spawned the sith empire, because they were extremely powerful in the force, because they nearly wiped out the jedi, so what if it's covered in comic books, the DS ending of kotor screwed the SW trilogy and prequels, oh and because they aren't sith wanna be humans with pale degrading skin caused by the DS, but are alien creatures. I mean come one, why is every SW game based on the sith empire versus the republic. Sure the sith's twisted ideals came from the minds of fallen jedi, but they twisted it even further to my knowledge. I don't read all that many comic books, so I wouldn't know all that much about the sith besides all that I have heard. Fighting sith wanna bes and blowing up a super weapon gets old.... fast

The single saber is also more "traditional" in the films. Another reason why is it so widely used. Why in every movie the staff has to be the bad guys weapon if a weapon at all I dunno. It has alot of defencive possibilities. Alot of skill it takes to use a single saber propperly and be able to match up in defencive capabilities to a staff, yes, makes it a better weapon in ur eyes. In my opinion the basic saber is a little too simple single sword like. But thats just my opinion

Will KOTOR 2 have Revan in it?

No, merely start at level 1, with some basic force powers and such depending on the class u would choose. With all memories intact. -
Will KOTOR 2 have Revan in it?
Chemix replied to sideshowbob's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I think it was a sucky choice not to have the player play as revan in KOTOR 2, trying to please LS and DS at the same time. LS is the only useable plot as revan takes over the galaxy if u go DS. And the LS had a perfect ending for a sequel. I think they'll bring revan back in his dark evil robes, with the mask and a distorted voice, and u'll fight him if ur LS, if ur DS u propabaly try to kill him and take his position. That would suck, but I can see that happening, not a good choice to do so but neither was it a good choice in my opinion to have u play as some old mandalorien war veteran who has gotten out of touch with the force. I don't realy like the storyline for KOTOR 2 at all but what the heck it's a star wars game and I'll probaly just get it for a good star wars gaming experience -
A game without sith wanna bes and reborn clones. A game with the main character as a jedi throughout the whole game A game with open ended choices A game with the Yhuuzang Vong or the true sith A game that isn't leaching off the sucess of another game by using the title and having no real connnection to the original A game that is based in a decent FPS engine with great graphix, no stupid let the computer do everything for u combat, with interactive enviornments and the ability to jump A game that has great characters and an incredible plot A game that has an equaly great sequel which continues the useable plot line, and improves everything

For some it doesn't fit their fighting style. That and they wanted it to seem rare and exotic so they didn't give many characters duel sabers or else it would seem like at the time they were a basic easy to create saber that any jedi could get their hands on, But if I recall, someone in ATOC, had a 3 bladed saber. Now that was weird. I like the staff saber and have no complaints about it
-
I'd like to be able to attack anyone. it's ur own character after all, ur not asuming someone elses role. Ur not playing as so and so
-
Some people are better with a single saber since it's more flexible, kotor doesn't realy show this well. U can't do as much with a staff as u can with a single saber. It's quicker for one. U can spin it around and such, more easily deflect blaster fire. With Dual sabers u have double the offence but less controle and therefor less defence. The staff is extremely powerful, but lacks the manuverability of a single saber and limits controle, not as much so as the dual sabers though. I can see reasons why people would choose not to use the saber staff. But I can see why people would choose it also. Everything has it's advantages and disadvantages.
-
Staff. 2 ends, 2 sides to deal damage, guy breaks the middle of ur saber, alright now u still got two sabers, guy blows one up with his saber or the force, still got one left. Double Damage, Double Defence. In kotor staffs do more damage than others, and I don't think it cheapens the experience at all. I don't like the idea of having to have a set of feats before being able to use dual bladed weaponry. Would make things anoying for staff weilders.

From what I've seen D20 is starting to looking like a pretty crappy game *no offence fans of D20* 100 levels would rock. get every single thing to max. Then walk around after the end. Blowing planets to bits with a glance.... lol. I wouldn't do that, but it'd be fine with 35 levels
-
I think Quiquaq means the game (KOTOR2) not the forums. I assume u (Shdy314) meant the forums because of the thing about posts
-
the question is can u harshly portray it and have it remain fun. Remember this should be fun for many people not just a few
-
U see unlike a novel, this is a computer designed to apeal to a vast group of people, with all sorts of different interests. I still think enemies should give EXP. Ur making leveling up rely alot on people playing ur style of playing. How about when u attack a large group of people one will go and try to set off an alarm and if u stop them from getting there one way or another. Being LS is hard in the books and the movies, however u can't realy portray it so harshly in a game.
-
Ur forgetting that this isn't a novel, this is a computer game, people have varried interests. I don't think everyone wants to be DS just because they don't stealth belt through things or always try to find an alternate route. This is merely my opinion though
