  1. *clap* *clap* *clap* Wonderful art -- your Atris is the one that should have been in the game as your interpretation of the 'Blonde PC' portrait should be, as well. They're very beautiful pieces of art. I especially love your art pieces that include Carth, Revan, and Bao-Dur. Hope we get to see more.
  2. It's stereotypical, you see -- the Disciple's manners are, that is... just another issue to add to the growing list of reasons why female gamers need to be catered to. I mean -- that couldn't possibly be how someone acted! It's just so unfair! I refuse to even pick up my controller until they modify the Female PCs so that they experience their period every twenty-eight days (or on every planet). As for what happens when it occurs, I don't know. I think the penalties you receive while having it should be the same ones you receive when you're inflicted with the Plague Force Feat.
  3. Man, so long as it doesn't have that stereotypical male ending, I'll buy it!!! I couldn't live an entire day without being a total bitch with double standards.
  4. Ya, that stereotypical male ending -- *shakes fist.* Its not what -- you know -- happens in both Star Wars trilogies. It has become tradition and a good one at that.
  5. I don't spout that sort of drivel -- I want games made for every person, but I realise it won't happen for awhile because there isn't that type of market that is just right for it. I didn't say Mara Jade's addition prevents the selling of those books -- it in fact increases the sales for it, but she's not a really good character from what I've read of her and have heard people say of her outside of being the typical stereotyped woman who wears tightfitting clothes and basically gets owned by the main male character in the long run. I think Jaina would be a better example but there are instances, I will admit. I just said that to please a larger variety of people, artists realise you can do what you want with the male character and generally find a strong base so long as its good... even if its good, not all female main characters are held in high-esteem by those outside the women camp.
  6. The game, as it is, would be canonical. Anything added on, would not matter or be considered for the third one... or even taken into consideration for that matter.
  7. Unless you go LS for awhile, get Mira, and then fall to the Dark Side like a proper student of the Force should.
  8. And how many people actually know who Mara Jade is? I don't outside of being Luke's wife and a female who was a Dark Sider turned Light Side in the end. Sounds like another Bastila Shan/pretty girl added to give flavor and draw men in like Tomb Raider draws men.
  9. Pornography is inappropriate for this forum *sniffs and rubs nose.* I believe it is more appropriate to call it a reporting of erotic events.
  10. Knights of the Old Republic II sucks *Returns to 'freedom' kissing Lord Satasn's mom*
  11. An excellent picture for a first attempt. I hope we see some more soon .
  12. Would have been more interesting if I didn't find out after having one dialogue conversation with them but yes, it was somewhat interesting :/.
  13. - HA-HA-HA! - Holy ****, Batman! It's the Joker! - We should known such a jest was right up his alley. - HA-HA-HA! - Let's blind him with our tightly packaged packages, Batman! - Good thinking Robin! - AHHHHH!
  14. Ya, thats true, but I meant build. Like Protocol/Repair but yes, modifying him will be triggered by entering the Ebon Hawk enough even if you don't talk to the Fat One or Bao-Dur.
  15. Trial and Error? Why would it matter if you failed in any conversation if you could still win the game without their help? Besides, all the dialogues were easy to figure out so long as you listened to their introductions. I knew what Atton's type was just by hearing Han Solo-wannabe. Kreia deals with manipulation and being neutral; hell, that's Sidious pretty much even if he is Dark Side in the end; he doesn't actually do anything, he just owns everyone. Mira was simple, Visas was... was there anything really there? Bao-Duhurrhurr was underdeveloped and I know I won't be taking him out just to get influence and... oh god this pointless. Point being, the dialogue was straight forward enough and I even got HK-47 to spill the beans since I could afford to be Dark Side for a portion of the game and once I was done, I was LS Mastery in half an hour.
  16. Both Remote and that Maintanence Droid are of the same type of 'droid/robot' and specialise in repairing. The Peragus II Droid is not Remote, but ... wait, now that I actually see that picture, I don't know what to say. Nevermind, I have not seen one like that... perhaps I never got close enough but I don't think that's supposed to happen... :/
  17. I prefer Wookie and only because in a game (and franchise like Star Wars) like this could snarling and roaring be coherent.
  18. An excellent reply if not a bit harsh. The fun in the game comes from exploring. In such a horribly designed game, taking what little it has in a decent creation system really ruins it. BTW, I played Consular with a Lightsaber that has 13 points of BBR and I had about 24/16 of which I think was what I actually had. I think the model to look at is Kreia and how she is built; she early on really does well and so I did a mimic of her and by the time I got to Malachor V. There, I lost and only to that Ultimate Beast and only because I thought it was the same thing. .
  19. The Dark Side is so killing kittens based -- man, I feel awful even if its just a computer game when I select those damn things.
  20. I think they were well-built characters in comparison to the sequel and I really enjoyed Carth and Jolee Bindo; they were awesome characters. One thing though is that they all had their own little personality and that's what really made replaying it a fun thing cause there was always something new. In TSL, by the end of your second planet you could already unlock everything you could ever want to say and everything seems stagnant. While it goes along with the general theme, it really just was too annoying to even unlock them since they're roll really didn't help in a game that was far too easy.
  21. If Revan's story and the Exile's story, which would probably be degraded into a secondary part, were ever to be made into an actual book, you could almost guarentee they would be male. There alignment would be different perhaps, defying the Star Wars Light Side Male theme it generally takes, and if Exile was given a smaller part then perhaps the character would be female, but to satisfy the market in this current state, it would generally have to be a male main character. Its like movies that appeal 'to both crowds.' Would many have read or watched Lord of the Rings if Frodo, Sam, Aragorn, Gandalf and Gimli were female characters? Probably not. Would any of Stephen King's story's have sold as it has if The Dark Tower Series' Roland the Gunslinger had been a female? Probably not. I'm not *trying* to be sexist but the market is just that: men have a lower tolerance of what they can watch while women can certainly enjoy them. Now, by that, I don't mean they're going to rush off and scream Gandalf everytime he comes on or buy all the games and immerse themselves. I just mean they don't generally get freaked out by it. How many people would have read Harry Potter if it was Harriet Potter? HELL, how many people would have read the series if Joanne Katherine Rowling was put instead of J.K. Rowling, initially? Not very many. Its jusy how it is -- I want it to change, but I don't think it will for another 10-15 years. For gaming, I don't think it'll change for a long time since its easy to just go out and witness how easy it would be to sell the typical action-shooter to males or the RPG to a male population since they're the easiest to figure out, and since companies each year want to crank games out faster... well enough; I really don't care, in the first place. I just don't think its a reality that gamers of that magnitude exist in the marketplace you speak of. Furthermore, I don't think companies need to listen. They can ignore and they can certainl make bank, and in the end, they'll probably get female gamers anyway kind of like FF does.
