  1. A few. Keep going until you can't advance any further without ditching the Mako and heading on foot. She'll be in the dig-site.
  2. Artemis Tau cluster --> Knossos Sector --> Therum Take the mako AROUND the lava, not through.
  3. Out of the Big Three this Q4, I'd say MotB had the best atmosphere, Witcher the best story, while ME was the most "fun". Great game overall, and like I said before, I'd give all three of them a score in between 85-95. Eden Prime: 2.5/5 - Yeah, it was a good intro mission with breathtaking backgrounds, but it kinda felt on the short side like it was missing something. The Citadel: 3/5 - Generally, a well thought out idea with the classic cyberpunk sociological-infrastructure layer thing going on. Unlike Taris (K1), however, I didn't feel it was used to its full potential in terms of sidequests. Therum: 1.5/5 - With the exception of picking up Liara (and Bioware's obsession with the Tower of Hanoi), this place was pretty much forgettable. Noveria: 5/5 - One of the most awesome levels ever. This place had it all. The shift from corrupt sci-fi corporation busting to Half-Life-esque research facility ass kickery was totally sweet and awesome. Feros: 4.5/5 - Another brilliant level. Kudos to the devs again. I was really digging the "cabal-of-crazy-cannibals" vibe I was picking up ala Jade Empire. Virmire: 4.5/5 - Wrex, Ashley/Kaiden, Crazed Salarians...to say anymore would spoil it. Needless to say, this level epitomized the awesomeness of ME. Ilos: 2/5.5 - WTF, Mate? Nah, it wasn't really that bad. But generally suffered from that inevitable Hack-n'Slash-to-the-end-Boss feel that most RPGs tend to suffer from. Probably less a fault of the devs and more of an intrinsic thing with the genre.
  4. What does a guy have to do to get a Vampire the Masquerade or Freelancer sequel here?
  5. Totally sweet and awesome story. Definitely novel grade, and on par (and some might say better) than MotB's story. Though less epic, it probably was better than ME's story too. I'd definitely place all 3 of these games in the 85-95 region, so this year's Q4 was a real treat. Yeah, Alvin's/GM's views are dynamic depending on what you feed him. "They're just fighting for their freedom"/"They're arrogance won't acceptance their decline" etc are essentially used against you when GM sucks you into the ice-age. It's freakin' awesome. I also love the fact that EVERYONE (perhaps barring Shani) is morally ambiguous in this game. But it kind of makes me feel sorry for Alvin/GM as he was right about the Age of Sword and Axe, and that he was not unduly reprehensible (barring the ends justifying the means). In my game I choose to stave off the incarnation of Death, and handle Alvin myself. "That sword is used for monsters". Best last words ever. Also: How awesome was the FMV outro? Was that a kickassery cliffhanger or what?
  6. [Edited by SteveThaiBinh to remove spoilers] Spoilers in the spoiler subforum, please.
  7. And on that note, we can take solace that when they do catch them, they keep that locked up with Shawshank Redemption quality security. http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/law/12/17/nj.jailbreak/index.html
  8. Is this some mickey mouse game?
  9. I'm picking up Alora vibes here. Must maintain sanity.
  10. What, my home-town has slipped through the planes and ended up in Faerun? What are the odds of that happening My dads name is Juhani Does he swing both ways too?
  11. Since cats seem to be where the scene's at:
  12. Great story indeed. I love the way the philosophy you feed effect the views. Best plot twist since K1. By the way, which way did you folks go faction and romance wise? For me: The Order (the racists) instead of the Scoia'tael (the terrorists), and Shani (the nerdy but gettable chick) instead of Triss (the manipulative biatch).
  13. Congrats Hades! For starters make sure you have an Xbox live headset. Then go and get a keypad, 'cause typing with the controller gets old. Real fast.
  14. In addition to the RATS, we play RPGs for teh SEXz0rz!1 All teh best RPGs allow your character to get good non-combat use out of his/her weapons. And some of the better ones (V:BL, ME) also allow you to get a lap dance too! Except if you're ugly. Then you gotta pay.
  15. Good one = Christopher Lambert. Intern = Vin Diesel.
  16. There is a third option where Bethesda clearly do not win.
  17. The . Uber stats and special abilities FTW!1
  18. Does pixie glow in the dark too?!
  19. We're still taking about Witcher, right? 'Cause our sole reprieve in ME is that we cant turn our sh1t into omni-goo! Everything's better with omni-goo! Don't have sex without it.
  20. Ah, i just had to try it I got a "Just-In-Time"-error and Visual Studio booted up, trying to debug Witcher.exe. This consumed 2.5 gig of my 4 gig of RAM and crashed the explorer. What did you got? A solid-multi-plane freeze, where pieces of Windows Task Manager, Geralt of Rivia, and MS Paper-clip interpose over one another, and where ctl-alt-del no longer responds, and neither does manual power off via power button, thereby requiring me to manually disconnect the main power cable before waiting 5 seconds.
  21. I'll take it if I can select the Fuller Brushman class kit.
  22. Say it isn't so, Krook!
  23. Word of advise when playing Witcher: Don't alt-tab. You've been warned.
  24. Witcher nurses sex (plural) FTW!1
  25. ME takes it to a new level....Space Monkeys!
