Heh. You guys got the good end. Had another storm today. Power was off for 1 second only though. Hehehe. But, you can actually tell it was a storm during the storm this time. "

Firsts eason of ST:TNG. It refreshed my memory of why I like it so much, and why i feel it's easily the best ST series. Picard, and company are awesome. Some misteps; but overall coolers. Q, oh how I have missed you!

The DMC delay thing was months ago. I'd be shocked that the new delay doens't allow a grand opening of having the DMC included in the package. Afterall, as it currently stands, the DMC was scheduled for released through a patch on the same delay of release. I would be surprised if the state of the DMC, and the negative reaction to that whole hoopla didn't have at least something to do with the postponement. If it isn't now released with the game I'd have to classify something REALLY fishy going on at the Obsidian offices.

"Volo, a friend of mine is currently working with the Indian Navy, and is STILL cleaning up after the Tsunami. I rather think you should reconsider your 'bring it on' type behaviour. Wouldn't want you to get struck by swarms of fire ants, now would we?" My insults directed at mother Nature is not meant to belittle those who have truly suffered due to 'Mother Nature's' warth. In fact, it's because of all the death that Mother Nature causes that I hate her so. She's evil. And, I taunt her as I'd taunt a human suicide bomber. I will not be intimidated by scum. The mass of people who have been negatively effected by Mother Nature is horrifying, and it gets me mad when peopel proclaim how great Nature is when it wrecks this kind of havoc. What happened in my area is comparitively spekaing very minor. Those hit by the Tusanmi as you mentioned should be backed up and helped and I will stand with them against the Hate of Mother Nature. And, LOL, Hades... then again, before a couple of nights ago; I would have been shcoked about nearly having tornadoes in my town... yet, we came that close to having them. WOWSERS! They'r even sending 'experts' to see why, and how this occured and no one foresaw it.

I mena, seriously. The only thing i suffered because of this was 24 hours without power. Boo hoo! i used to spend 2 months camping on and island with NO POWER, and 24 hours is supposed to make me fear Mother Natuire's power? LOL Innocent people who happen to love Mother Nature suffered worse than me. I mourn Mother Nature's victims - she is worst than the worst terrorist 'cause they have a purpose even if they are psycho reasons. She just kills just because... and, she cna't even hit her atcual target. I apologize to my fellow North Bayians.

Outside of one (easy) time; you can easily ignore said mini games. BIO learned from their mistake with the forced space shoot 'em up in KOTOR. -
Thanks Ravenmeister. Hades: I didn't get a chance even if I wanted to. the 'storm' in question lasted than 5 seconds. LOL And, mother nature is WEAK! Only 2 dead? Pathetic. The current Isreal-Hamas/Palestine/Hezbollah/Lebanon conflict is killing more people sadly. Mother Nature is weak. She had her chance to get rid of me her Arch Enemy, and she FAILED!! That's right, I'm calling that *BLANK* out! I dare her to rub me out!!!

"early hints of release dates should always be taken with a grain of salt, and maybe a beer or two." September reelase didn't come early. It wasn't that longa go that claim came from Atari, and Obsidian with Obsidian stating clearly that they they were on target for then. The original release was way back in June. Still, overall, like I said above, this newest delay is a GOOD thing. Now, the likelihood of getting the DMC in the actual package has increased dramatically.

The buggy isn't a mini game last i checked. And, I never said the buggy was 'orginal' did I? I said it looks cool. As for other games doing it better.... it's ncie that you know this is true eitehr way since neither of us have tried the ME version. And, yes, it automatically makes ME 1 million times better than the overrated KOTOR series which did NOT have an on planet vehicle. So, YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111 -

"If ST would happen in galaxy far far away and would have magic system, would it be orginal?" First off, Star Trek came before Star Wars. Secondly, ST does have 'magic' and it happens in multiple galaxies. I daresay that it takes more than simply having magic and a 'far away galaxy' to not be original. btw, Just to let you know, ME is not set in a 'galaxy far away'; but in alternate future of our time - at least it was last I checked. So... does that make ME a Star Trek 'rip off' instead of a Star Wars one now? Hmm.. Going by what youa re saying, any thing set in space is a 'rip off'.. Doctor Who came before both ST and SW and features galaxies and 'magic' so I guess the latter two are 'rip offs' of Doctor Who... I think not. You can have similiarites and still be different. Heck, Star Wars itself had multiple sources used by Lucas for the setting and the original SW story. You overrate, and misunderstand the term 'original', imo. That is all that needsa to be said as you (and I) have made up our minds. P.S. There is no way to determine, imo, how 'original' ME may or may not be yet. In the end, it won't matter to me AT ALL since originality is soo overrated. As long as the story, game, characters, role-playing, and combat ar egood and fun it matters 0.0%. -
Heh. Even a generator 'blowing up' mere yards from my house didn't catch me. The 'storm' if one can call it that lasted mere seconds. I didn't even notice it (my computer/tv room is away from windows) utnil after the power shut off. Heh. And, it was over before I even realized. Mostly tree damage (other than the generator) in my area. Smaller towns nearby are unlikely and my brother's house is even unluckier even thouh he's just down the street sinc ehe has no power (last i checked or no phone). I didn't even know others got hit so hard until today - even the deaths were a surprise.... P.S. Thanks.

Because it is Original Intellectual Properties. Just because it has similarites doesn't mean it's the same. ie. IWD to BG. Coke to Pepsi. Spears to Madonna. US to Britain. D&D to LOTR. SW to ST. And, on, and on, and on. -
http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/18072006/2/nati...ds-ontario.html But, I am onstoppable! not even Mother Nature can end me or my torment of you!!! Just loss power for maybe a day! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! Sadly, it seems 2 people were less fortunate... "Up to 90 per cent of North Bay was initially without electricity as winds reached 80 kilometres an hour before the wind dial at the city's airport snapped." "Environment Canada said Tuesday it had dispatched four teams of investigators in Ontario - to North Bay, Kirkland Lake, Manitoulin Island and Newmarket - to look into "possible tornadic events." Not much else to say; but muahahaha!!! I spit in the face of Mother Nature!

"Agreed. That's also a pretty lame thing for them to do in my opinion." If Besthesda had actually done that, I would laugh. it's hilarious! I love it when game companies can diss us 'gamers' considering how often we diss them, and get away it. So often us Net Geeks can dish it out; but can't take it and while about moronicy like 'the customer is always right' which is blatantly false.

So, it has similarites to SW. big friggin' woop. That's not surprising itself consideirng BIO has stated quite clearly that one of the biug things about ME is that they want tot ake advanatge of their work on KOTOR, and improve upon it. By the way, are we sure that the gal with the 'helmet head' isn't actually a human ot another alien wearing a helmet? BIO has said that anything you put on your character shows up on the character model. So, please don't get toof ar. I'm not a big SW fans myself. It's ok; but I much prefer Star Trek the other popular Space Opera. In fact, I didn't even bother with paying much attention to KOTOR until people started spazzing over the x-box version. And, I still find KOTOR overrated. ME is likely to be 1 million % percent better. The land vehicle dune buggy thing alone proves this. -
"Too bad they couldn't have done this for ToEE" They did do it for TOEE. Anyways, as for topic: POSITIVE: It's better for the game to eb delayed so it's released in as close to stable condition as possible, and this should mean an included DM Clint. Plus, it gives me more time to pay for a computer upgrade. NEGATIVE: It puts suspect on what Obsidian has stated over, and over again on the BIO boards... CONCLUSION: Positive wins out.

Neil Smith is an excellent GM. The Islanders are a fool for throwing him in a trash so quickly. Without him, the Rangers would have won no Cup in '94. And, the Rangers were retarded in firing him after a couple of bad seasons as evidence by them doing absolutely nothing in his absence outside of this past season. He is anything BUT a 'douche' or an 'idiot'. Snow is a decent goalie; but GM? *chuckles* As for what Smith accomplished outside of the Cup. Quoite a bit exactly. He was more successful than any GM since the like Rangers last cup before '94 and since. The team steadily approved udner his watch; and self implodeed afte rhis removal. IIRC, he is responsible for the Leetch and Richeter beingd rfated as Rangers, and Mooose and the other ex Oilers coming to the Rangers. He brought Mike Keenan over as well. His only mistake during his Ranger tenure (imo) is allowing Messier to go to Vancouver when he foolishly chose The Overrated One over THE Captain. Milbury, on the other hand, is a horirble GM and coach who should have been thrown in the trahs can eons ago by the Isles. I cna't believe I once supported him against his critics. <>

Lebanese rockets hit Israel after airport attack!
Volourn replied to jaguars4ever's topic in Way Off-Topic
"Israel will always be a bone o contention as long as it exists and as long as the US supports it a good chunk of the Middle East peeps will see the US as the enemy, which by our actions we are." Agreed. And, if Iran didn't exist, or North korea, or the US, or Britain, or France, or x country; they would no longer be a bone of contention either. Your logic demanding completely wiping out a country is illogical and full of holes. Not to mention lacking a moral base. And, Isreal is far from the majority reason for problems in the ME. It's more a symptom than anything. The majority reason is the lacking of people who actually live in the 2st century with the religious and culktrure intolernace - nothing illsutrates this more than the Shia and Sunni splittering.
