Nope...stag didn't sell for the price most people want to ask for it. Time to undersell it. Anyway, Keyrock, just tell me when's a good time/day to try to meet up in the game and I can trade you those diamonds. Assuming I can login. I'm getting a lot of server delay/timeouts this afternoon...

^ That is awesome.

I'm in a "girl's just want to have fun" mood. This could be trouble. P.S. That parrot in the t-shirt gif is so cute/funny!

The humor was great, I lol'd quite a few times. But I did feel the mystery portion was lost/unfocused. Not that I mind. I'm sure the next two episodes will focus on that more. The first eps. had a lot to do/settle/setup.

It is black comedy/satire, but still seems funny to put it under that category.

I now know the secret of seeing it via the official BBC site while still in the US. So I have. I'll still watch it on PBS, too, tho. And buy the DVD's. Anything with Benedict, really. Yes I'm sad. Side note: he actually vaguely reminds me of my husband, only hubby doesn't have an accent. Could be why.

While I agree that physical exertion is the fastest way to feel warmer for a while, I'd disagree that bundling up is not also a solution. Once bundled, I stay warm as long as I'm still bundled, without having to get up and do 1000 jumping jacks again. Bundling up in a soft, warm blanket also has the benefit of giving one that super-cozy, happy, snuggly, warm fuzzies feeling, which pumping iron/exercise has yet to ever give me.

With Christian Bale? Is it wrong/weird that I find that movie hilarious?

I'd like it if the general game searches didn't include Early Access titles, so I don't have to wade through tons of those to find the actual new/full releases. That is, keep Early Access in that Early Access search category only. If I look under RPG I don't want to sift through all of them there, too. ....we're not all interested in Early Access.

The Conjuring - Had a few decent creepy moments and decent "atmosphere", but otherwise your typical haunted house/possession type movie. Don't see what all the highish review scores were about.

Hehe, yeah, got all my Mimics early this morning too. I love the animation it has where treasure is falling out/being spit out everywhere as it hops behind you. The scarf doesn't work as well on my DC's outfit, because it clips into the neck cawl of the armor. But it's still cool. I decided to open a final 10-pack of lockboxes and got my 3rd Artifact from one. Which finally has my damage/healing rating over 9000 (gs 13850). The artifacts are the only thing I refine/level up (lesser Fey enchants from the Sharandar task work well). Won't bother making them Gold...Purple is good enough and will probably get me close to 14k GS. Everything solo is super easy now anyway. But that's why I think I'm pretty much done. It was a ton of time/work/AD to get one chr. to this point, for me, even when buying some Zen occasionally. Doing it again with another is ... not appealing. The alts can stay in their lvl 60/r5-enchant blue gear.

Yeah...I hate PG&E too. Have an acquaintance in Idaho...their (winter) base rate seems to be .07/kwh and they can stay in that tier for 800kwh, so their electric for approx the same amount of use is less than $100. We haven't researched it much but I bet installing enough solar to make a big dent in the bill would cost a fair bit here (since we wouldn't do it ourselves) and take about 4-8 years to pay for itself. By this I mean a system that's more than a couple of panels stuck on top of the roof or on the lawn or whatever. Maybe something like $15k-20k. Altho there may be utility incentives/rebates that would reduce that by half. At any rate this crap tract house and the area it's in isn't worth the investment.

Grover is who came to my mind. A mutated, red Grover.

I tried to ask on the forum about being BoP or not but all anyone ever says now is "use the Preview shard to test it." If I wanted to bother with the preview shard, I wouldn't ask the question on the forum. Anyway....I can just trade you the diamonds some time. I'm waiting to see if I can actually sell a Stag for a silly amount of AD or if I'll have to put it back up again at a more reasonable price. I usually do reasonable pricing to begin with but eh...thought I'd try it. I've tried the t6 Sword Coast dungeon a few more times and still haven't gotten to the end fight. Or rather, I lose enough group hit points that I decide to just leave without going further. I guess I don't have the right type of pets to make it easy...seems like an army of Lillends would work well in there.

P.S. Should have added above that I know there's probably places with higher power costs. I don't really mind the costs that much. You use, you pay. What amuses me most is the huge number of kwh we accrue total (for two people). I wish I still had a utility bill from the late-80's, where I'd suspect kwh fell more in the 300-400 range, even with some of the toys we occasionally had/used+higher watt bulbs. Sometimes I feel like I have no idea how all those kwh add up. We've gone through periods where we don't have the PC's on much, for example, but the bill and hours don't drop by much. But there's still a lot of things like router/firewalls and other tech doodads that hubby has on 24/7 even when main PC's/TV are off. Then again, maybe the utility company "smart meters" are ripping us off... ...and yes I spend too much time contemplating such things, when I have nothing better to do on a Sat. afternoon.
-
That might work well if you have to cross bridges all the time. If you don't, I'd find it annoying having to remember to get it out of the glovebox (and batteries?) and stick it to my window once in a blue moon just to avoid paying double. Unless the toll is a quarter, because I wouldn't care about another .25 cents every now and then.
-
The Price of Tech: ....gas on top of that is another $40(summer) to $110(winter) ....this is with us living literally in the dark as far as lighting is concerned (low-watt florescent bulbs too) and having a very small house etc. It's probably almost all computer/TV/media related, electric dryer, and in summer, some A/C use. ....lately every month the utility company likes to send us (and everyone else I'm sure) graphs showing us how far beyond what they think of as "low" and "normal" household-use we are re:kwh consumption.
-
Well that's cool. Then I guess I'll have to decide whether to get DVD or Blu-Ray. Or both. I like Blu-Ray of course but I don't have it on my PC, so I can't watch those in here when I feel like it and thus still often buy plain ol' DVD's.
-
What? That early? I thought the first episode of Season 3 was first aired this week or something. I mean, I know they have it all filmed and such, but ... I guess I'm used to the US where they typically make people wait 3-6 months before you can buy TV/movies on physical medium. Maybe its regional, not US? ... I'll have to check.

How Is Chris Avellone able to do all this?
LadyCrimson replied to Darth Trethon's topic in Obsidian General
I thought he was an army of clones whilst the real Avellone is hanging out on his own private island, issuing commands via satellite and such. But I can go with cyborg, too. -
We haven't had dental in years and hardly used it when we did. They do tend to be expensive but outside of basic preventive, most dental coverage that came with employment in our area is even less comprehensive than "regular" medical insurance. Not worth bothering to buy on one's own, imo. Unless you have a constant need for major dental care for some reason. And today I'm doing idle housework while waiting for some videos to render. My cat, btw, likes to chase after me and get underfoot while I'm sweeping/dusting/picking up and such. I think he's trying to trip/kill me.

Not on the topic of police, but maybe a bit of big brother ... hubby went over the Golden Gate Bridge a while back and he noticed he didn't have to pay a toll. He didn't try to avoid it, the bar let him through. Anyway, some days later he got a note in the mail with a grainy blk/wht xerox pic of his license plate and a bill for for the $6 toll (and if you're late, immediately goes up to $26). Have no idea if that's normal on the Bridge now so traffic doesn't have to stop, or just what they do if the tollgate isn't working properly.

I'd say Sherlock is technically TV (I tend to think of it as a mini-series) but either or. The 2nd series I've only seen once. I should watch it again, but I haven't bought it on disc yet and I don't feel like waiting until 2am to watch it on Netflix again.

I like that one. The head decoration makes me think of (hollywood) dinosaur head ridges or something. The color makes it pop, too.

Most excellent, thanks for the post.
