Watched the first 4 eps. of "Resurrection". I sorta liked it. I can tell I'll eventually get tired of the "why are they back and what small-town buried secrets does everyone have?" angles but, well, I'm used to that and it's enough to keep me watching for a while. It feels a bit Stephen King-y, I mean. That 70's Show's dad dude is always good, imo, and I liked that the actor from House was ... bouncing a ball against the wall. Haha! Missed that post....I've seen that commercial a few times, definitely didn't make the connection. I didn't realize he did that Skyrim song bit, either. And finally ... sorry if it was mentioned before a while back or something, but today I saw this and went wtf? Then "well, but Martin Freeman! (and Billy Bob Thorton) ... It might be ok...maybe" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jFU0r0xG_c

Even if I was rich, I'd have no desire to pay $3000 for a personal-computer GPU. I'd rather build a 2nd puter for $2000 with a $1000 GPU in it, instead.

But that wasn't what the flashbacks were about/wasn't their purpose ....

I know some people hate it when people post replies that consist only of smilies, but ... ...I haven't watched the KS video yet, but the still image is pretty funny.

I'll sometimes notice stuff like that, just like I'll notice how everyone in movies can survive falls from great height onto cars and parking lots with barely a scratch, let alone a broken ankle, but most of the time, as long as it's fun to watch, I just don't care. Oh but that random-glasses guy being eaten by zombies does illustrate why I find zombies unto themselves pretty boring. I mean, he wasn't totally surrounded when you first see him .... the guy couldn't run away? He's just standing there crying and waving his stick or whatever ... run, guy, run?

Raining again. Which means I could put on a raincoat and go outside with an umbrella and plastic-baggied camera and take cool shots of raindrops and puddles, or I could stay indoors lounging around in my underwear whilst playing games. Hm. Tough choice.

All I noticed was one of the games has "The Cat" in the title. Which I'm guessing is "The Cat Lady", which sounded like fun to me when I saw it on GoG, until I read the description and realized there were likely hardly any cats to be found....

Fave omelet - mushroom, onion, bell pepper, linguica or sausage (no cheese...), extra garlic slices is always nice Spaghetti - tomato paste/water/spices, 1/2 to 1 cup super-hot salsa, tons of garlic, lots of sliced mushrooms and sliced olives (none of that "can barely see any 'shrooms or olives" stuff), half/half hamburger and mild italian sausage. Edit - I once forgot the sausage in my spaghetti and when our friend ate it, he was all "where's the sausage? Did you stop doing that?" My lasagna is heart-attack on a plate, with zero ricotta cheese, but it sure is tasty.

My palate finds 1 or 2 topping pizza's really boring. I like at least 3 toppings. My limit for pizza would probably be about 6 toppings. I also make "junk" spaghetti, lasagna, omelets, and so on. There are of course flavors I may not like together (teriyaki sauce and Caesar dressing would not go together, imo ), but having way more than a few flavors I do like all smashed together doesn't "ruin" anything, for me. If anything, it often enhances the experience. At least...for meat/vegie/salt type flavors. Sugary sweets is the one where I don't like mushing flavors together. eg, I don't like the "3 flavors in one bowl with candy sprinkles and bananas and nuts and whip cream and cookie crumbs" type stuff. I don't even like fruit on my cheesecake.

But can he armfart yet? A father's job is never done!

Yesssssssss ..... it's Rickanator! Well, it wasn't an "omg what happens next/wanna know now!" major cliffhanger type of show, but I enjoyed it quite a lot and don't mind the lack of immediate suspense. I guess some didn't like the flashback parts, but I liked them, if only to see Scott Wilson again (the flashback scenes were new-shot, not actually taken from previous episodes). My only two minor complaints were: Andrew Lincoln on The Talking Dead was awesome. First time I've ever watched more than 5-10 minutes of that after-show.

I'm not a major fan or anything, I just 80's remember him from Ordinary People, Taps, Falcon and Snowman etc and then he fell off my radar. Then I occasionally see him in something obscure (to me at least) and wonder what he's been up to. I think I made myself watch The Dark Half largely because I recognized his name. If netflix has it I'll check the Nero one out too, thanks.

Well, of course one doesn't have to use red sauce. Unless one doesn't like pesto/white sauces. Which I don't. I know, I'm picky. And probably weird. I'll like garlic bread/sticks, but not pesto sauce. Go figure. Had some friends who didn't like more than a couple items on pizza ... they called everything else "junk" pizza, which I thought was terribly cute. :D

*putters around uselessly all day* .... dangit, is it 6pm yet? ...normally I don't get antsy about The Walking Dead (truthfully, half the time I forget it's on until hubby reminds me), but their season finale nights I get impatient because I want to know what irritatingly frustrating cliffhanger ending they have for us.

Tomato paste and strong sweet doesn't work for me. I don't even like basil that much (a little, but not a lot). I remember once, as a teen, making some spaghetti for this bf of mine. He took some bites and his lip started to curl. I was all "what?" His mom came home and she laughed...said she'd always made spaghetti for him with canned tomato soup as a base or something, and I was "oh.....gross."

it's been cool and rainy. Not cold, mind you. Just coolish because of the rain, enough to make (wimpy) Mr. Black sit hopefully by the wall heater all day long. In our current house Springtime is nice because all the trees get their leaves again and I can better fantasize that we have no neighbors. I really prefer evergreen trees. Dinner and curl up to watch Walking Dead ... then, uh ... I don't know. Feels like an early-bedtime day.

The only thing that sounds weird on that pizza is the banana. Well, and anchovies, but that's just because I hate those things - being salty however, doesn't seem like it would not go with the rest, if you do like them. The sweet of the banana's wouldn't work for me, tho. Ham could still work, as long as it's not a super-candied ham. Garlic, bacon and mushroom is an awesome pizza all by itself (also, a great omelet...). I prefer pizza to have more than just mozzarella on it, but I don't like pizzas that have a super-thick layer of cheese. Especially if it's only mozzarella, because then it has the texture of eating melted rubber tires. I like mozzarella/cheddar/provolone combos (thin layer) or something like that.

"The Killing Room" (2009) So that's where Timothy Hutton went. (*Google* - I haven't seen Leverage series, maybe I should someday). ... and outside of America's Got Talent, I had no idea who Nick Cannon was. He doesn't do too badly in this film, for the type of film, I mean. Not a great movie or anything but at least it tries for something a bit more interesting. Plus for some reason I like "strangers in a closed room" type horror/suspense tales so it was watchable to me.

I think I'll wait for the man-eating-but-still-cutely-chases-butterflies-tiger simulator.

Saw that button. Didn't help. WoW/Starcraft never on this O/S install. It was even giving me trouble just uninstalling the game. That borked "optimization" step seemed to mess stuff up. At any rate, I'm sure I could figure it out eventually, but having only a vague curiosity interest in the expansion (I hadn't bought the expansion yet, btw - good thing), it's just not worth spending hours and hours on for me. It's all deleted now. Heheh. Ended up not playing Banished either - I haven't for a couple days actually, besides glancing at a few map seeds. I keep staring at a map and thinking about what I'd do with it, but can't quite motivate to start. Yet ... I've had two dreams related to the game this week. Like my mind has to purge itself of all these city-design/metanumber crunching info/ideas before I can dive in again. Scary.

Everything is best over charcoal. Gas is ok/works, but it's not BBQ.

Uninstalled. Fresh Battle.net launcher installed. Click Options/Install D3. Pause it while doing something else for a minute. Says it'll even save my place if I exit the launcher. Cool. Finish what I'm doing. Unpause. Greyed out message in the download progress bar: "Waiting on another installation or update" .... forever. B.net can [ bleepbleepbleepitybleep ]. Good idea.
-
Oh for crying out loud. Closed the window. This time when I clicked the D3 shortcut instead of telling me it has to "optimize" it tells me it's installing battle.net beta launcher, then promptly gets stuck at 64% install. Screw this noise...maybe I'll uninstall everything first and try it that way.
-
Everything but the Parental Control option is currently greyed out, I assume because it's "optimizing". So I can't change anything. (the new app launcher is not actually installed yet). Also, it's now stuck at 47.5% for ages....with the "Please don't close this window" warning text staring me in the face. If I close launcher/restart, will it...start all over? ... sigh.

Rick could use a new chr. arc, because everything out of his mouth is becoming too much of a broken record at this point, kinda like how I felt about Dale. As to the show finale rumination: based on the teaser trailers and comic knowledge
