The media is a laughing stock, but I always felt the Fox/NBCs were less harmful since they both just speak to their audiences anyway in blatant form, while the others pretend to be some beacon of honor despite being just as bias as any other source. Fox/NBC are like sports entertainment, the rest are more businesslike and professional with their bias.

And vice versa. It's no wonder the elections boil down to the lesser of two evils. Can't be above getting dirty just to get a foot in the door.

Just another perk of not being into the latest games, no longer subjected to microtransactions. However that doesn't keep me from loot filled games altogether. I really can't stand game clutter these days. Just makes for tedious gameplay, however it's my fault for falling into that trap when I do. Same goes for people paying for loot boxes. They probably waste less time than I do with my slow play style. Asking for government intervention just seems like the typical gaming community overreaction.

Money. Also can't underestimate the ego when vying to be head of a world power. It's all about legacy building from day one.

Eh, that's par for the course. Don't know why it bothers anyone at this stage. An admin engaging in political theater? The horror!

NV dlc is as good as it gets for value, same goes for FO3, but I can't say I overly enjoyed them. NV's dlc strayed too far from the base game(save for the short Honest Hearts) with some irritating design choices. I'd just prefer a large side quest in the existing game world in hope of preventing designers from nearly busting the game with so called creative changes.

Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky new game
Blodhemn replied to Walking_Potato's topic in Obsidian General
I hope so but it could just boil down to getting back to doing what he wants to be doing. He didn't call it his dream game for nothing. I'm not going to get hyped just yet, but at least am expecting a game with that depth and replayability that's severely lacking elsewhere these days. -
Don't they all? That's why they become a chore to play and have no replayability. Wish it weren't so as Rockstar picks some really appealing settings, but their style is done in the dirt, as with Bethesda.

Yeah, I just stuck to the main story this time mostly as my last playthough included all DLCs. So I completed the game before obtaining many of the perks. It was also a fairly buggy playthough for the short amount of time, so I really just got to the point of wanting to finish it out and start a new game fairly soon as well.

Finished my NV Legion/melee build, of which I ended up using guns anyway. Melee is just so lame compared to guns in the game. And every time I think of trying to start a Fallout Tactics game, I just get put off by preparing a build and team. I just don't think it's my kind of game or maybe most things I read are written by people with some OCD about a perfect build, or both.

The History of Antifa vs. Nazi: The Light and Dark sides of the Force

Another hard left vs hard right sympathizer debate. Joy. -
Funny that the Snow White game wasn't dark enough for Disney and Obsidian's version was too light hearted but apparently there was more to it than that. In ways it seems like some of it, as far as companions being keys and such, was carried over to Stick of Truth. If there was too much of that I could see it being a problem as even small bits of it alters the flow of gameplay.

As a heavy Steam user, I'm not sure how much of that fits. Also I'm not so sure Win 8 is the best OS for games released a decade prior. But what do I know? Not much invested in format wars.

Talk about resting on laurels. It's really crazy that the offline mode is still glitchy after all these years. I assume the update check when a game is launched is a big part of the problem. Yikes.

It's been so long, I vaguely remember doing anything but I'll check into it. This type of repeated freeze upon entering Novac has never happened, but I guess expect the unexpected with this game/engine.
-
Started up yet another game of New Vegas. Still one of the best games made, especially to play at your own pace. However, sometimes that comes to a crawl due to freezes or crashes. Never used to have that problem but my last few plays have been full of them. Don't care to restart any time soon if it's a corrupt save.

Glad you're doing better. Yeah, people are believers. Want to believe there are easy cures and also love feeling like they know some life secret that would change the world if only given the chance and that the current system is just so wrong. Well, bullcrap. Life is ruthless and short. Even more so for diseased people. Should be free to take whatever you want in order to make things just a little more bearable.

Yeah. Definitely a pet peeve of mine when marijuana users speak out against other drugs, as if appealing to the lowest common denominator makes the use of their preferred drug more justified, ESPECIALLY when they never have to deal with the type chronic pain or issues people go though to be on prescribed medication. Makes me sick to my stomach to think about.

Too much nervous laughter, but expected in gaming "journalism". Nothing new. Nice lounge area though, I guess.

Has to be. She's clearly the hand of revenge that everyone's supposed to cheer for, no matter how nonsensical. Has to stay within a boundary which is why the threat to Sansa made everyone dumber for seeing it. It's okay though because she manipulated the situation and got that sweet Littlefinger revenge, I guess.
-
The way you react makes it seem riveting on some level. The Sisters Stark have bored me stiff. TV Arya is like some celebrated Tarantino revenge plot. Barely worth pointing out the silliness, really.
-
Weren't you going on about Arya killing Sansa previously? Looks like they baited you. Not sure how anyone could actually consider the two sisters offing one or the other. Crap plot, years going.

What Book(s) or Author would like to be turned into a game?

After she split with Hound, I couldn't bother with Arya. Bad actress, speaking monotone portraying mercilessness, or becoming "faceless" as it were. No thanks. Celebrated revenge plots are a bit of a tough sell as it is.

Yeah, I kind of see it that way as well. The show has been looking for the next badassery-epic-cool scene ever since the dragons gained prominence, if not sooner. It's just now that's about all there's left so that side is even more exposed. Personally, it's less cringy than the draggy, badly acted Arya storyline. About the dumbest plot I've ever had to watch.
