  1. Anyone else looking forward to this game? Starbreeze, the developer of the impressive shooter/stealth/rpg hybrid in Chronicles of Riddick looks to impress with the Darkness. Set in a dark urban landscape akin to Bloodlines with the best texture creaters in the biz, the game just oozes quality. So I guess the gameplay will be similar to Riddick, which is fine by me, with the added super powers and those evil little creatures on your side. http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/720/720...mg_3561528.html http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/720/720...mg_3555576.html http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/720/720...mg_3555564.html

  3. I think it's a stupid concept. If you aim directly at someone's head and hit the target, the damage should be high no matter your skill level at firearms. Weak.
  4. What game made soda vending machines popular?
  5. According to what I've read, the PS3 will incorporate Ageia PhysX technology as well. Though it probably wont be as advanced.
  6. Well I think mods are severely overrated. I rarely find the need or want to use one. That being said, the PC has quick load times, looks better, media patch and I like listening to the music while I surf the web so I'm going with PC.
  7. Day of Defeat: Source
  8. You should definetly get the weapons mods. Makes the game more enjoyable.
  9. Showing off the textures in Riddick.
  10. You don't agree that there are bugs? I had a game ender if it weren't for backup saves. And the collision detection is bad - if you have eyes I don't see how that can be disputed. I remember getting completely stuck between a door and a wall in the Peep Show and that was before I started using the 'noclip' command.
  11. Pros: Good roleplaying from the start, great voice acting, fun dialogue(Malkavian) and nice urban environment set in southern California. Cons: Horrid combat, overabundance of uninspired quests with said horrid combat, uneventful and predictable story, worst collision detection ever seen, bugs, and massive loading times(unless you're on a good PC). I wont ever give it a second play through but I can see how it appeals to others.
  12. I'm actually starting to get more interested in the Revolution than the 360/PS3 simply because I haven't touched anything Nintendo since the N64 days. And I'm in the want for something different. Though with Nintendo being as slow as they are I'm sure my interest will wane. I guess they are too focused on creating 99 ways to fit a gameboy into various sized pockets.
  13. The original Xbox is a damn good console. I haven't touched my PS2 in years and I wont get a GameCube 'til they release a proper Zelda. Although I've only had an Xbox for nearly a year it gets daily use from either me or a family member. Custom soundtracks are the best! I wont get a 360 for a while though. I just don't see the need. But the games that interest me in getting it in the future are: The Darkness (game has huge potential, check out that trailer) Mass Effect Halo 3 Gears of War Prey Too Human Jade Empire 2 ...
  14. Look at the brickwork right past the drainage gate. The pic on the left(bilinear) has it blurred.
  15. Wow. This end game really blows.
  16. Janmanden: My character is Malkavian and I absolutely love the dialogue. Easily my favorite part of the game. At one point I actually started writing down the amusing lines. Surreptishus: I'm not really a hardcore fan of any game genre. I just expect a game's core mechanics to be somewhat of an entertaining experience. And to me, the combat feels incredibly weak & flimsy. It's the same problem I had with Morrowind, although I'm sure I will see Bloodlines all the way through. Spider: That's a drag. I'm really hoping to break away from the Prince soon. I've been his puppet for far too long! As for the quests, some have been refreshing and others just leave me feeling empty. I mentioned earlier of the bad sound, I was refering to the combat and interactive sounds which are just that: bad. You lot are right about the music and ambient sounds. It is indeed good. And that deepens my overall feeling of the game: inconsistent. Anyway, thanks for the replies.
  17. I'm playing Bloodlines for the first time right now and I don't understand all the high praise this game is getting in this thread. Yes it does have good voice acting, dialogue and character creation but that doesn't totally make up for the horrible clunky combat, bad sound and lack of feeling accomplishment from the underwhelming quests. I'm in the sewer levels right now and I gotta say this is one of the worst designed missions I've ever played in a game. It makes even the Library in Halo feel adventurous. Still, I'm going to keep going in hopes that the game starts to open up and become a little less linear. Here's hoping!
  18. I can't believe how bad the music sounds. If anyone wants to compare, download jek_jek_tarr_battle.mp3 from Griskey's website and then listen to mus_bat_303.mp3 from the streammusic folder. The difference is sickening.
