  1. I'm not sure 300 did anything "first", maybe the first at ripping off about a dozen movies before it.
  2. Just listened to that Mayhem album a few hours ago.. crazy. Ah, I just mean she's got a stern conviction even if it involves such lunacy as defending genocide all because some species has a bucked tooth trait. That love scene is awful, lol.
  3. The Witcher - It's fun exploring and the environments are well done but it seems like it takes forever to get through quest to quest either because it isn't the right time of day/circumstance to activate the quests at times and also there seems to be many of these type instances all at once. I don't know, maybe some are buggy. The combat is the only other problem for me. It's pretty tedious and I hardly feel like waiting around to kill something when it starts off the battle in "dodge" mode for about 20 seconds. Oh, and Geralt is freakin LAME. Otherwise, great atmosphere, exploration, areas, RPGness.
  4. Ah, I think she's cute. She's a bit pouty on the surface but cold as ice underneath. The voiceover doesn't come close to matching though.
  5. LOL christ.. Actually I was going for the evil Twi'lek twin sisters look from the Sith Lords. If we're going to generate a musical way of life for her, she reaches over into the black metal ideology.
  6. Oh ****, don't call her goth. That's just the best that could pass for war paint.
  7. Didn't feel like installing screen grabbing technology so I just snapped my Mass Effect hottie with a handy camera like she so sexily deserves.
  8. So this is the second reincarnation of the same game, meaning it's the third version of the same game that originally was an Xbox exclusive five years ago. I love the game, and the new implementations looks spectacular - but is it worth paying full retail to ultimately be playing the same game? Not hardly. That's disappointing. Ah well, I was planning on reinstalling Butcher Bay soon anyway.
  9. I just brought myself to beating Bioshock after having it installed for nearly a year and I can safely say a sequel wont see the light of my comp's power button. After Fort Frolic, the game was just too redundant in every way - even visually. Nothing else of note - just going around killing splicers and listening to distant drones over audio diaries. Freakin boring.
  10. How come the Fallout screenshots all come out lookin like the player got their faces dusted by an anus of a coal mine?
  11. I thought Ravenholm in HL2 was pretty decent. The realistic atmosphere coupled with the sounds of those skeletal guys running towards you made for a somewhat tense situation. I think the main point is to make you feel vulnerable. If a game is beyond easy.. how can you be on edge really? Games are mostly just too easy to waltz through. If something like Ninja Gaiden were less arcade like and more realistic it'd be pretty intimidating. I have no clue why more realistic and modern stories aren't fleshed out in games. Everything has to revolve around mutant-baddies-from-outerspace or dragons or the paranormal eight year old girl which seems to be the craze . Lol, so scary. That stuff's a joke. I think the biggest problem is that mostly games are made for teens and of course the makers need to make profit, so there needs to be something flashy to grab attention and flashiness isn't scary.
  12. Good lord... I already thought the original Riddick had the best feeling melee of any FPS ever made and now they're expanding on it. It looks awesome. I can't wait to play it.
  13. The story had a better approach in KOTOR 2 but to me, the worlds and quests and general gameplay were better in KOTOR 1. Speaking of those games, I'm playing Mass Effect for the first time and it's almost laughable at how identical the game is to the KOTORS. I enjoy it, and the combat is better than I thought it'd be but ultimately I'm playing the same game here. I was hoping some level of interaction within the gameworld would improve or atleast the whole "run through blocky/empty corridors to achieve goal" would be lessened to a degree but nope, not at all.
  14. The coop is going to be great in RE5. If it weren't for that addition I doubt I'd care to play it but it was loads more fun.
  15. I have no idea who this Bourne character is but I can't say it bothers me one way or another, seeing as my only familiarity of Vin Diesel's Riddick came from Escape from Butcher Bay and it's one of my favorite games. Starbreeze is awesome. I would say that I was slightly disappointed with the Darkness on it's repetitiveness concerning battle sequences but it was still a lot of fun and pretty unique for the most part. One thing that they could improve on is....loading times!!
  16. Just actually played it - it feels and plays exactly like RE4. I like the hot keys on the D pad and its quicker healing your partner with the spray, just takes some time to get used to again. I can't say I came away with the feeling of playing a fresh game because every single aspect felt like RE4. Not sure if I'm really lookin forward to the frustrations of in tight gaming with restrictive controls. With that said, it feels a million times better than MGS4's controls do. God I hate those controls.
  17. Wow, don't they have anything else available to look at other than the one video which dates back to the launch of the PS3?
  18. Agreed. Awesome sound design too. Also, the most satisfying enemies to fight(the cloaked ones that bitch slap you around) were hardly used. Lookin at the screen shots, it looks more of the same - I definetly wont be getting it.
  19. Hate to state the obvious but your facial hair looks drawn on.
  20. I have a good enough setup to run Crysis at "super high" so I enjoyed it. The only thing that really bummed me out was the garbage ending pulled from Halo 2. Whoever decided to end the game on that note should remove themselves from future projects. I thought the game was somewhat boring earlier on and then got fairly good and stayed there. The zero gravity alien environment is indeed the coolest looking thing in FPS history. I liked Farcry a lot less, partly cause I figured out the story the first minute in and also the AI, although tough, used cheap tactics, ie snipers seeing you through rocks and all of the other junk towards the end where you're just a weapon magnet.
  21. This point of the game absolutely killed my machine. I died quite a few times because I couldn't even move and I think my own dudes were shooting me out of confusion.
  22. Look at who wrote that review. That Hilary Goldstein has a history of making retarded claims in her reviews. Not saying the game isn't excellent but really, her opinion has less merit than my pet goat's.
  23. This one came out pretty good. Well actually you'd have to try really hard not to make a decent screenie out of Crysis.
  24. Well basically I felt extremely let down. The cool aspects of the game are for the most part, extremely underutilized. Giving how well done the underground sections of the game were which called for anomalies galore, the bulk of it deals with underwhelming and tedious gun battles with boring human AI. The bandits/military should've been left to the surface. It's just an overload of the same crap. The underground should've been strictly left to anomalies with tons of abstactions and confusing corridors.
