  1. Normally this is true, but a number of the deals look like fairly new releases, like Undead Nightmare. They probably wouldn't give a price reduction to Dead Money a couple of days after release though... they better not anyway! All right... will download...
  2. Ok, I've got my 800 MS points for dead money. Thing is, XBLA is having a 'secret sale' leading up to new years where every day they unveil a deal on a game. Am I going to hate myself in a couple of days if Dead Money ends up being one of the games on sale?
  3. The video starts, and someone starts... I don't know... having a seizure or something. They start spouting off words that don't rhyme or flow and it makes my ears bleed. Every race has these seizures from time to time. I've heard these seizures referred to as 'rap'. Apparently though, disliking it makes one a racist, even though I happened to be listening to a black artist on windows media player which I paused to listen to that video. Always one dumb ass who needs to turn everything into a racial issue. You should send a resume to Al Sharpton.
  4. Red Dead? I've put hundreds of hours into the game both on and off line and I love it No game is perfect, but I've easily been able to overlook Red Dead's flaws.
  5. From what I've heard, women also have better hand-eye coordination.
  6. Maybe more dev studios need that kind of 'working environment' because Red Dead is one of the best games ever made.
  7. Opposite for me. Treyarch's recent CoD games are better than Infinity Ward's recent CoD games IMHO. For one, I'm more interested in historical shooters than Tom Clancy style 'what if' modern shooters. It was great to see not only a GOOD game based on the Pacific theater but also a more brutal look at the Eastern Front. First time? Are you liking it? Hope you aren't playing the PC port. If you are make sure to look for the mod that gives you proper keyboard prompts during the quicktime events. That nearly killed the game for me first time playing. Also a mod that allows you to mouse aim, but I ended up getting good/used to aiming with the keyboard. I absolutely loved this game despite the hurdles of a horrible port job.
  8. You stood it four minutes and fifty five seconds longer than I could.
  9. This. BAA has one of the most awesome and enjoyable hand to hand mechanics I've seen in a game. Its simple to learn, but difficult to master and when you do start figuring out the extra tricks you fly around dispatching enemies like a whirlwind. The stealth predator sections are fantastic too. So many options to distract and disable the enemy. It wasn't till my second playthrough that I discovered you could scare the crap out of enemies by first stringing up an enemy from a gargoyle and then dropping his body on enemies who come to investigate by throwing a batarang. I have to admit I'm pretty excited about the sequel.
  10. So... they hit the uncanny valley? One face was so well animated that for a moment I couldn't tell it was computer animation, but for the most part I know what you mean. I still think this is awesome tech and I'd love to see it applied in a RPG.
  11. Yes, talking about something comepletely unrelated really shows how idiotic that argument was. You have absolutely no idea what my point was, do you?
  12. I've been lucky that I didn't run into any game stoppers. I did run into a quest that was almost unfinishable. The talent recruit quest, the guy who hires you to look for talent would NOT STOP DANCING! Punching him finally got his attention so I could talk to him and finish the quest.
  13. What are you talking about?
  14. I could see some drugs becoming legalized, but some I'd never be happy to even entertain the idea. Meth in particular. People go absolutely nuts on it, taking their clothes off running madly down the street attacking people. The only positive I could see to legalizing it would be less houses going kaboom with amateur chemists trying to brew it in their basements.
  15. Nah, but we'll party like crazy when an Afghan informant gets offed thanks to wikileaks. Its all in the name of transparency.
  16. Anybody mention Anachronox?
  17. Didn't know him well but he seemed like a good guy and I enjoyed reading his posts. Condolences to friends and family & R.I.P.
  18. Was browsing YouTube when I stumbled upon some of the soundtrack from Star Fighter 3000 which I played on PC ages ago. It had a few tracks I really enjoyed. Death by stereo!
  19. F3 had the father's mysterious disappearance and project etc... New Vegas had a courier shot and an item missing. Putting the main quest off in F3 was difficult, doing it in New Vegas was not.
  20. Heres hoping the new engine is stable. In all 3 games using the Oblivion engine the game became incredibly unstable near the end. Just beat New Vegas yesterday and during the last 30 minutes of gameplay the game crashed 3 times all requiring a complete reset of my console.
  21. I finally beat it! Fantastic ending, its how Fallout 3 should have ended. I loved seeing how every little decision was shown at the end. Its funny how Fallout 3 and Vegas are opposites as far as the main plot goes. F3 actually started out much more interesting but the plot became ridiculous and the ending was unsatisfying. Vegas plot starts out meh, but becomes much more interesting at the end.
  22. Still awesome! So was Arkham Asylum so excitement high...
  23. Batman Arkham City cgi trailer is incredible!
  24. I feel like an absolute fool for not touching the caravan game or doing any of the gambling. 75 hours in and finally at the last quest and I just now try these games and end up getting rich when the money could have served me more earlier. I've been enjoying the quests and exploration so much that the thought of stopping for a few minutes to play a minigame seemed... painful. Really a compliment to how good the quests are. With my funds I picked up the Anti-material rifle, which is absolutely awesome. The animation in third person mode is hilarious, as the gun almost flies out of your hands when firing! This gun really would have helped with those deathclaws... Not for everyone. Between getting tired of updating my computer, all the DRM crap with computer games and most games I have any interest in coming out on consoles first among other reasons, a console was a great choice for me. I still play some of my old favorites on computer, but right around the BS with Mysteries of Westgate I became interested in consoles. I haven't regreted that decision since and I haven't seen a single computer only release that I've been interested in.
  25. Still, hundred of thousands die every year in car accidents - while only maybe a thousand die, on average pr year, flying. Car crashes are generally over quickly and have a much higher percentage of survivability. In a plane crash you will be very lucky if you survive and you have the potential for a long period of AAAAAAAGH before the splat.
