Agreed. That, and it would be highly annoying to lug around two completely useless pieces of equipment until you can find the third.

The way I see it, Ep. IV was about exactly what we're talking about. A main character who wasn't a Force Adept, and yet people seemed to identify with it enough. Still lots of Force Adepts running around, only Luke, Leia, and Han weren't part of them. I would love an RPG along those lines.

Yeah, over at my site we have a discussion going about a non-Jedi CRPG. Lots of good ideas. Someone suggested a "Band of Brothers" type of setting, another suggested a storyline somewhat along the lines of the Han Solo trilogy. I think it could be done, and I think it would be a damn fine game and a great tool in restoring the mystery and power of both the Jedi and the Sith by making them background players. Familiarity breeds contempt, after all.

I think the point is to have various sets of items that have individual stats that are enhanced by using more than one at the same time, as per the Brejik example, not necessarily have the particular items sets of various Jedi and Sith of old. Personally, I think basic item sets for blaster wielders, vibroblade users, and the various Force adepts would be verra cool. Epic sets, where you find a piece at a time throughout the game, would just plain rock.

I'm hoping they include an option Bioware gave to the PC users in a patch, and that's the ability to distribute items among your party members while still on the Ebon Hawk.

Redundant thread. The potty issue has been discussed many many many many many times. There was even a fanfic about it that was, unfortunately, inappropriate to post on my site. It was pretty funny. I'm pretty sure they're not including facilities on the Ebon Hawk this time, as they're using the original model from K1.
