  1. Any pnp'ers out there know if WoTC will be releasing Prestige classes for SW?
  2. -6 to con, yikes! Now THAT'S an item I'd like to see.
  3. Aw, you'd get better. And I have to agree with the Rakata being the first among, not necessarily Force adepts, but definitely the first to harness the Force.
  4. My weapon is fear, fear and surprise! My TWO-TWO WEAPONS are fear, surprise, and an almost fanatical devotion to the board. Amongst my weapons... Anyway, thanks for the tip on Baas. I see research in my future.
  5. Yes. Human, bit of predator once you get further into it. Father's death, terminal illness, yup yup yup. Yes, and yes, but nearly enough for the franchise, thank you PG-13. Yes and no, it does a decent job, but it's way too limited in time for them to really do justice to either. 87 minutes long, roughly a grand total of about 30 minutes of action. No. Not a bit of it. Mainly it covers their Code. The Aliens could be scarier if they weren't making the movie for the ickle kiddykins. The potential is there, but they do fail to fully realize it. New for the movies, yes. New for the book/graphic novels franchise, no. And nothing gets done with them. It's okay. Not fantastic. I'll still be buying it for the collection, though.
  6. That's cool, my post came off as confrontational, not what I intended. *sigh*
  7. Being sure to note that I don't work for Obsidian, LucasArts, or X-Box, and everything I say on this is conjecture!!!!
  8. It wasn't with K1 because the format of DLC X-Box requested be used was not formattable for disc content, much to the chagrin of Bioware, LucasArts, and many fans who had been told a free disc with said content would be available in an issue of OXM. Hopefully, X-Box won't make the same mistake with K2, so if they don't, it should be entirely feasable that the DLC will be available on disc through one medium or another.
  9. Yes, LA was working on K3, but due to downsizing, had to let go of the team that was working on it. I have no doubt that LA will recommence with work on it, as it's turned into quite the cash cow. Although I haven't heard of it being the "final" installment in KoTOR. And I believe that the Q&A at the beginning of the game will take the place of having to choose a save file, in that it will dictate what characters from K1 will be appearing, among other things. Bastila returning would be interesting to say the least. My first question would be, of course, "Why aren't you with Revan?!"
  10. Agreed, unfortunately, that was part of the limitation of the console platform they chose. Still, it was better implemented in KoTOR than in many other console games I've played. Then again, I always did Korriban second and Manaan last, as there's so little fighting on Manaan.
  11. Closing the thread as there are multiple topics on this subject already, and it's rapidly devolving.
  12. I'd watch that, I've always had difficulties with the finer points of coffee fetching. Honestly though, I don't see a quadruple DVD release...Although, it would rock. Oops, my PC just started crying...
  13. *shrug* I was simply responding to the poster who said that the game had been in development a year. Still, I don't see how that would be impossible to do, and do well, in the years given to Obsidian, considering that they didn't have to build a new engine.
  14. *sigh* Poor Carth... Although, as far as Jolee is concerned, any man who wears sock garters beneath his Jedi robes is all right with me!
  15. The Yavin Station was eventually put on XBL, but the DLC for the X-Box version is a sore spot for a lot of the console fans (I'm not one of them). Unfortunately, the DLC has more to do with LA and X-Box than Obsidian, but the promises of "more" and "same day as release" definitely are encouraging!
  16. From my understanding of 3rd Ed. AD&D prestige classes, you don't lose anything taking one, so all of your previous abilities would still be there.
  17. Did a runthrough of a bunch of the dialogues of the game last night, and couldn't find anything saying that the Star Forge was powered, fueled, or otherwise run by the Force. It did, however, mention that the Star Forge was so very imbued with the Force that it had nearly a life of its own, rather like the spot outside Endor where Palpatine died the first time. In other words, a whole lot of nothing was given in the game about the Star Forge. *sigh* And, while I love every bit of pre-KoTOR fanfic on my site, I don't think I'd want a game devoted to it. I'd much rather them move forward in this particular timeline, rather than backwards.
  18. So, would you have preferred NO history to the other planets and just left us wandering around in the physical setting, without knowing the political or social settings?
  19. Either get it back on track or it goes bye bye, y'all.
  20. Hee hee hee, I love this thread...
  21. Blackbishop is right. The Star Forge drew on the sun in order to draw power and materials for the construction of the fleet. The Dark Force that imbued it, I think, was more of a product than a tool.
  22. So would you rather have a lot of minour items that are all different, or a few moderate items that are somewhat similar?
  23. My fave place for mines was on Dantooine, because you find all of those after taking out one set of Mandalorians, and you know EXACTLY where big bad dude is going to show up. I mine the hell out of the exact area he's standing on. As soon as combat begins. BOOM! And then much evil giggles.
  24. I voted sell my soul, mainly because I get into a frothing lather everytime I think about NEW KoTOR STORYLINES!
