  1. It didn't remind me of a jungle so much as a rugged, hilly landscape with varying sized bodies of water, ponds to sea size. And I think it was Telos.
  2. I would be very interested in learning how someone got hold of that information, personally, considering LA and Obsidian have been bombarded by gaming press and gamers to find out more about the storyline... Ah well. Either way, it sounds pretty silly. I can just see it now... Master Vandar: Another mission we have for you. Revan: Yes, Master Vandar. Master Vandar: Kidding we were, about the Star Forge. Not the real Star Forge at all, it was! Good joke, is it not? *Revan pulls out lightsabers and neatly decapitates Master Vandar*
  3. The Han Solo trilogy is rather good, I was surprised by the quality of it, as usually character prequels seem pretty forced. And I'd definitely play a quality CRPG that featured non-Jedi choices. Still, making non-Jedi equal to Jedi kind of defeats the purpose of them being Jedi...
  4. I don't think items like posters and other items like that would be entirely shunned by those interested in KoTOR merch either. I voted for all of the above, glad you put that in there, I was getting worried about having to make a decision.
  5. I like the ideas you have, particularly the push/pull ones.
  6. What I meant was, the game itself is about the Jedi Knights, so it's somewhat inferred that you'd be one of them...ah well
  7. I see what you're saying, but at the same time, I have to disagree. KoTOR 1 and 2 are (as previously stated) about the Knights of the Old Republic, so... Still, I know I'd be interested in a "basic" SW RPG that let you follow your own path. SW:G was fun, but not quite what I was looking for.
  8. Okay, so there isn't a good SW CRPG out there for you? Or do you have a recommendation?
  9. Out of curiousity, Hades, have you checked out LA's "Republic Commando" at all? That might be more up your alley.
  10. Well, you just want it all, don't you?!
  11. It's done, and any GM worth their salt can make even a munchkin power party sweat it in combat. Sneakier, more difficult enemies would be a nice change of pace.
  12. Uh...I thought you did start out KoTOR 2 as a Jedi...albeit without a lightsaber.
  13. This is true, although my first few plays through the game I did find the combat challenging enough. I'm more oriented towards storyline anyway, but I can see where the combat would disappoint a lot of people.
  14. Well...yeah! Part of what makes it fun, and a great stress relief after a bad day! Thanks, Tyrell, that was a good read and very interesting. I look forward to seeing your version of the DS events.
  15. Again, this goes back to the demo. The animations were not all the same, they varied quite a bit, so there was something to watch during the fight scenes. As far as the choosing the attacks and such...*shrug* I like turn based, so that part I don't mind so much.
  16. I agree with the poster that said that with Obsidian at the helm, one doesn't have to worry about the storyline too much. I am really looking forward to what they come up with. So far as graphics, gameplay, and such, from what I saw of the demo, they have been improved, although there were a few sticking points that I very much hope were just because it was a demo. A longer game would be fantastic, but with the limitations of the X-Box I am not getting my hopes up. Hopefully I'll have a computer that can actually run the PC version decently as opposed to the one I have now, which cries everytime I think about playing it. I'm also very hopeful about the DLC that will be available. Unfortunately, the DLC for the first one wasn't very much, and it did take an inordinate amount of time to be released for various reasons. I'm looking forward to immediate DLC and more of it with KoTOR2. *shrug* I like being a Jedi, it's fun. Hopefully LA will explore other possibilities for SW gameplay, like smugglers or bounty hunters, in a different game (not SW:G). As of now, though, I'm looking forward to KoTOR2. I am a little concerned about the fall of the Jedi Council. I know it will be explained in-story, but still...disappointing after using the light side ending of the first one as my main focus. Ah well.
  17. Unlockables can be fun, but...*shrug* I'd rather the devs work on storyline and content.
  18. Again, this is the new Non-Troll version of AT. I liked Flurry a lot, the maxxed out animation is still something I like to watch, although PA and CS are ones I generally ignored. *shrug* Personal preference. They did add a bunch of new animations to the fighting in the demo at E3, so it's a lot better than the "lean to the side, hit, lean to the side, hit, duck, hit" that we got in the first one. I also seem to recall reading/hearing somewhere that the higher your feat, the more elaborate the animation, which is a very nice touch. Hopefully this will keep the combats from being quite as tedious as they could sometimes get in KoTOR. A lot of times I had people dying because I was just screwing around trying different things, but it kept it from being repetitious, anyway. And heya Hades One, how ya doin'?
  19. BTW, this is NOT the AT you've been dealing with, this is the all new Non-Troll version. Very nice review! Thank you for putting it up!
