  1. not every possible way; if they make the combat a little more fun im sold. Not exactly real-time, just more balanced feats and stuff would be cool.
  2. I second that Jaberwoki that would be too cool.
  3. you say canderous was gay? what about carth? that guy was flaming, he obviously was hitting on male Revan the entire game, only Revan was too dumb to pick up on it.
  4. ninja gaiden on very hard is always hard, at lesat when you fight bosses that you cant always see. i dont mind a challenge, and that game certainly had it, but sometimes my biggest opponent was the camera. anway, combat was too easy in KOTOR, and i only played the game (once) on the hardest setting. Still, like people say, as long as a more challenging game doesnt involve simply increasing enemy hit points, then thats the way to go. Unfortunately, with KOTOR's combat system it would be a pain to make the game hard without resorting to just buffing up the enemies.
  5. are they going to have different feats for prestige classes? if not, then whats the point? the game will probably be too easy anyway.
  6. for someone who actively doesnt participate gorth, youve post alot in this thread. i for one, cant stand carth cause of that litlte high-pitched whine. its a shame too, cause his character could have been cool. when i first saw him i was hoping he would be a bad ass, instead canderous took that role. was hoping canderous would have killed him, just like i had zaalbar kill mission.
  7. episode iii might explain some things, but it cant make up for bad acting, boring characters, lame fight scenes, the worst romance ever, and everything else that contributes to the crappiness of Episodes 1 and 2. the storyling was easily the best aspect of KOTOR.
  8. prs rules, prs are my initials thats kinda creepy. anyway, i think ur idea is better than mine, might as well just have a flurry mode as opposed to stacking it all the time. it would be alot of fun to see different types of animations including falling down after swinging too hard and such. it wouldnt be too hard to implement, and it wouldnt mess up the fact thats its still turn-based.
  9. difficulty can depend on the perscpective, but this game was really only difficult to those who didnt understand how the first game worked. the new game isnt going to win over any new fans (the people who found the first one's combat or other aspects boring most likely won't be giving this one a shot). So they should, if nothing else, increase the difficulty since the fan-base of the next game will be made up mostly of veterans of the first game.
  10. what are munchkin classes? when you think about it, all that SW really has to differentiate it is the force and the jedi who use it. I can see why its hard to balance, when jedi are supposed to be such an elite group of fighters; its hard to throw anything that can really compete against them, save for huge monsters or opposing jedi.
  11. how does adding different animations take away from the tedium of doing nothing but loading up the command queue every few seconds?
  12. not abad ided kdy worker, too bad they'll never mess with the feats system. nobody seems to think any of it needs changing, and i have to admit its functional, but thats the best thing i can say about it.
  13. yeah blizzardski i would like that too, but its never going to happen. most people think the combat system is flawless, so we'll never get a change in that. and changing the difficulty does not cover up a shallow combat system.
  14. was bendak starkiller the guy you fought in the arena? if it was, well that fight was a joke, just as was evey other fight in the game. and thats with the game on hard the whole way through (the only time i bothered to play through it). so difficulty does need to be increased, but the one-on-one fights like with starkiller and malak were really weak. i thought the gladiator thing would be cool but it ws really lame since there was no depth to the melee fighting. so i guess it kind of is a problem for someone like me, who was hoping that a game centered around a war between two jedi factions would have a decent melee system.
  15. I know the combat system is based on dice rolls and such, and im not suggesting going to real time since that will never happen, but i got tired of using the same skill over and over. Why not add penalties to using the same skill repeatedly in a fight? Wouldnt a person notice if someone was trying to whack away with all his force, and change tactis accordingly? it wouldnt be hard to implement, maybe they could just add attack penalties or something. Also, what about the idea of some attacks being more effective in certain situations? like if you see a guy lose balance a power attack might be more effective in order to knock him to the ground, or if he seems to be slowing down for a second, press the attack with a flurry? obviously, these arent perfect, but anything beats simply sitting back and simply making sure the command queue is stacked with power attacks.
