This happens in Halo, between the Flood and the Covenant. Waiting for them to finish wiping each other out stopped being amusing the third game through.
In order that another certain thread doesn't get completely derailed, I would just like to go ahead and put this thread up here for those who would like to discuss ToTJ, with or without how it related to KoTOR.
I don't have anything against ToTJ, just the discussion of ToTJ in a non-ToTJ thread.

And re: the spoilers thing, a lot of people want general info about the game; sys reqs, release dates, etc., without any actual info about the gameplay itself, thus the spoilers warning.
For those who have access to XBN magazine, they've been given an exclusive beta test for K2: TSL, and there is an extensive article in the latest issue outlining it, including details of the Q&A session with Kreia at the beginning of the game.
The question of whether or not Revan is male or female is a big factor, apparently.

When a game goes gold it can be released to retail within a matter of days. Pressing the initial shipments perhaps two days, and then the actual transport to the retailers is another couple of days. The biggest part is the actual going gold.
Patches usually follow a few weeks behind, as the developers are informed of the widest variety of problems with the game from the consumers. Let's face it, there is no way they can test for every single glitch on every single system. Obsidian seems to be on the ball, so I would figure patches for serious problems would be quickly released.
