Character customisation
Okee dokee, Mr. Christensen's androgyny notwithstanding, the thread will now be closed due to lack of topic related discussion.

Should Bastila Return?
You are one of the last known Jedi. That doesn't mean that others haven't hidden themselves away. Obi-wan and Yoda, anyone?

quick keys?
I doubt serious customization for specialized equipment will be supported, as the majourity of people use said standard equipment, implementing the specialization would not be cost effective for the amount of time it would take.

ls/ds devotion bonus?
Well, there are over 60 new Force Powers, Feats, and Skills, so....

how Revan's face should be done in STL
Excellent post, Ender. But since this thread has been thoroughly diverted and is not likely to return to topic... Oh, y'all know what's coming.

Massively Multiplayer
That's just it. So many people would be doing the same quests, what would be the point of it being an MMORPG? "Hey, can I buy you a drink?" "Sure, I'm thirsty after saving the Galaxy." "YOU saved the Galaxy? What did YOU do?" "I killed the Sith Lord (Insert Name) today." "So did I!" *sigh*

Freedom of movement
Sounds like Morrowind might be more to your liking. Most projects have a focus, and for KoTOR they sacrificed enormous terrains for character and plot development. In Morrowind, somewhat the reverse. Until they make systems big enough, and give developers time enough, I don't think we'll really ever have a satisfactory marriage of the two. But that's just me.

Massively Multiplayer
The thing about KoTOR, and most standard CRPGs, is that the focus of the plot is the main character, played by a single person. When you involve more people, and they have very little to do with the plot and basically serve as combat support, it tends to get boring. Unfortunately, a good plot line like KoTOR would not make a good MMORPG, because of that. After all, how many Chosen Ones can one Galaxy have?

Should Obsidian have stuck with original cast
Well....as this has devolved into speculation of things not KoTOR 2...Although, of course, further speculation on smileys and such can be taken up in Off Topic. And while I would love to join in the fun, unfortunately, I cannot, as I've said before, they don't let their volunteer mods have any fun here at Obsidian... *hears crack of whip* All right! All right! I'm closing it!! Please! Not the comfy chair!

Some Semi-new info
I'm hoping that Mike Gallo's enigmatical statement does indeed mean that there will be an early December launch for K2, but I'm not expecting it. The gaming industry is capricious, to say the least. And the new Lucas boards do seem to need a little work...

Canderous Ordo
Locking this as the opportunity to discuss Canderous of Clan Ordo's possible return already exists in this thread.

Romance interests
Besides, it's in the grand tradition of Star Wars to have masses of enemies that can't fight worth a snot. And I can't wait for the romances, but if Atton is the only choice for females...ick.

Should Obsidian have stuck with original cast
I also am glad that they're going with an all new cast, and this thread is a good place for that discussion. This isn't the first time I've seen this subject come up, although on other message boards, and the opinions are not quite so cut and dried elsewhere as they are here. Hades One probably remembers one from the Bioware boards concerning what is truly a game sequel. Anyway, I agree with all of the reasons stated in support of the new characters and storyline. I like this time period. I want to know more about it. When you limit yourself to a series centering around one character, it makes it that much more difficult to include the widest possible variety of atmosphere and background for the world you're writing about. While all new everything may not necessarily be good for the previous cast, I think it is mandatory for the Old Republic line. Also, no need to talk about K2 like it's already failed (this game would have been a success). I have great faith in the fact that it will blow K1 away as far as sales and awards go.

Who Do You Want Back For Kotor2
*snaps her fingers* D'oh! You are so right!

Probably been done b4 but oh well
I voted I am a female and my PC will be female because...well...it's true. But, I ended up reworking the original storyline of K1 in my fanfic to have my female PC there as another party member, and made Revan male. So for me, it's entirely feasible to figure out some backstory to have my same character I've designed from K1 be my main in K2.

Who Do You Want Back For Kotor2
I think that's part of what the Q&A at the beginning of the game may help to determine. Let's face it, you can kill off just about every one of your party members except Canderous, HK-47, Zaalbar, and T3-M4 over the course of K1.
