  1. A lot of the loot is randomized, or at least drawn from separate tables depending on when you enter any given area.
  2. Seems OK to me. The current system of a whole level of spells going from "per rest" to "per encounter" was a pretty huge leap, much as I enjoyed it. It would be nice if this feature kicked in before level 9, though. Or took effect at every level starting at 9, and not every other level.
  3. Yeah, having Eder in the party doesn't work at all. I've done this in three different playthroughs, all of them with Eder in the group. The wolf always turn hostile and has to be killed.
  4. I've never bothered with staves before for my Wizards, prefering to keep them far out of harm's way. But my current Wizard is rocking the Greenstone staff pretty hard, turning out some pretty impressive damage numbers with it.
  5. I love the fact that Obsidian is still patching the game and working on improvements, but seriously, your patch notes are a disgrace. Is it that you don't believe people want to read complete patch notes? "We fixed lots of other stuff in addition to the few things we could be bothered to list, honest!". Please, pretty please, give us a full changelog. I don't want to have to guess if something's been dealt with or if I still have to keep an eye out for it.
  6. What about the bug where half the enemies in the game (pretty much all the indoors areas) not counting as kills for any of the Soulbound weapons?
  7. This always happens with me as well, with all soulbound weapons, whenever it's equipped on a party member who's being swapped out. Should be very easy to reproduce.
  8. Bug. Odd one, too. But hey, at least it doesn't cause some kind of infinite recursive self-damage loop. That would be kinda awesome if he was a Monk...
  9. I've had this happen in 2.01 with a few items with per-day spells/abilities. Try saving and reloading, possibly exiting the game entirely. I know that this solved it for me.
  10. Before doing anything else I'd verify the game cache integrity through Steam. Right-click the game, choose Properties, then the Local Files tab and click Verify Integrity of Game Cache. Sounds to me like you're either missing some files or something went wrong with the installation.
  11. No need for custom companions, you can make as many Revive scrolls as you feel like. Anyone with a Lore of 6 or better can cast them.
  12. Did you by any chance get your game from GOG? And do you have all the available patches? I remember reading about an issue similar to this if you didn't download both patches/updates when The White March came out.
  13. I always take Zealous Focus for Pallegina, and never Critical Focus. Waste of a talent.
  14. I noticed in the videos for The White March that when the devs used the Fireball spell they got this really cool mushroom cloud animation when it detonated. Then I played it myself, and while the wand you find (I can't remember its name) that gives you Fireball 1/day has that animation, my own Fireball spells did not. So now I've started a new playthrough where my main is a Wizard, he's just about to hit level 5, and I was wondering if anyone had noticed if the Fireball spell has a new animation. Was my previous character's animation just a holdover since he learned the spell before TWM was installed? Does it have different animation based on where/how you learn it, or is it just the wand that got this new animation? Any input would be appreciated.
  15. Try entering combat with it and see if the stats revert to normal. It's a known bug that Accuracy ratings don't display correctly; it's just cosmetic and will show normal after combat (and in the combat log).
  16. I don't know what's up with his spells not working; as for him not casting spells when AI-controlled that might be down to you not having enabled per-rest abilities in the AI console.
  17. There isn't, but fortunately they'll give you the bonuses for Weapon Focus even if they don't belong to the type of weapon you have Focus in.
  18. I've had this happen to me as well. If a magnifying glass icon is under the portrait, clicking on the portrait causes the descriptive text from the magnifying glass to pop up while the character you clicked on remains un-selected.
  19. I have the same thing. Once you click an ability and start placing the marker, the range indicator disappears and only reappears once you move beyond the range. It's not a problem in any way; if you're not seeing the range indicator it means you're good to go.
  20. How about having each meal cost 6 times as many resources, but be consumed automatically upon camping in the wild and then giving the appropriate bonus (these may have to be tweaked some, of course) until the next rest? The way they work now the countdown timer kinda stresses me out a bit, like I have to hurry up and get things done before it expires to get the most out of it.
  21. I was just about to start a thread about this, because the same thing happened to me. On my first playthrough I found it and it had one unique spell - I can't remember the name but it was basically a cold-based version of Fireball that also stunned. There were also some other spells, but nothing higher than level 4. Then I did the quest a second time with a different, higher-level party. This time the grimoire had spells all the way up to level 7, including at least one other unique spell, a raw-damage dealing ray spell at level 4 plus a 7th level barrier spell that may or may not be unique but had the "Ninagauth's" affix. So I thought maybe it was level-dependent what kind of spells the grimoire contained. But today I went back to the high-level party, and suddenly Ninagauth's Black Pages only has spells up to level 4, and the other unique spell(s) are gone except for the cold-fireball one. What gives? Was it fixed in a patch? Is it a glitch? My wizard still had the Ninagauth's ray spell and Ninagauth's barrier spell in their list of learned spell, but they were no longer in the grimoire I learned them from.
  22. I equipped Durance with the Grey Sleeper, and it seemed to give him the +10 bonus he gets to swords and arquebuses from his deity-specific talent. I can't swear to it, but I did the math on the accuracy and it came out that he had a +10 that I couldn't find any other explanation for.
  23. If it's the same bug then it's only cosmetic. All accuracy modifiers are applied correctly in combat (and properly restored afterwards), they just don't show up on the character sheet. Has anyone looked at the combat logs when wearing enchanted armours?
  24. Unfortunately that was the quicksave slot, which I've already overwritten.
