2nd Atton reminds me of The Simpsons.... I think we've been spoilt by the more seasoned/professional artists we have around here. When it comes to "spare time" graphics things (and that's if I'm not playing Rome Total War or KotOR II), my interest is in manipulating existing images into things like desktop themes (icons, cursors, composition wallpapers) or even simple "cleanups" like extracting Pazaak card graphics from screenshots (which I don't need to do anymore cos I can extract them directly now). Ok ok, the point is that the more you do the better you get. It's true - it can't compete with experienced artists/professionals but I still share some of my stuff like this situation cos as long as people benefit then well, it's a good thing.

Leviathan: Star Forge (ie. not Republic) ship Ravager: Republic ship falling to pieces From Game Design point of view, BioWare designed the Sith to resemble the "Imperials" (ironically, the Republic), hence the identical shiny plastoid armour, arming them with blaster rifles, some of them providing comic relief by being stupid, commanded by Dark Jedi, and to keep the theme, the ships were designed with the Imperial resemblence. I'm guessing Ravager, being a bad guy ship now, was also designed to follow the Imperial theme; however I think this was a bad call by Obsidian, although I suppose it doesn't change much. btw, you hardly see a boss travelling on the worst ship in their fleet - it's usually the best right......

I think certifying Revan's fate is the most important thing for KotOR 3. We all might want his story concluded differently but in the end we all want a good ending. Although I would prefer him to return, maybe changed but nevertheless a happy couple, I would be satisfied by an implication or in-person or by datapad story (kinda like about the Jedi Great Hunt trio and two of them fell in love). Finding him dead would also be a closing but I would rather avoid that one ... obviously, considering what I just said above.

One thing which TSL seems to ignore is Revan and the Star Forge. In KotOR 1 you find out he left the order looking for it, and the game gave us the hint that Revan went to fight on the Outer Rim as an excuse to search for it.

Like I said before, if Revan is gonna come back and live happily ever after which is what I want (in love and no Jedi to tell him off either! ), they'll have to change him in someways or else it'll be unrealistic. Considering how Kenobi, Yoda, and in some ways LS Anakin Skywalker all had many many years away, there are a few avenues to bring him back...in one piece - maybe have your new player convince Revan to return after saving him from DS? It's all pretty open I suppose.

It's been 5 years right so having nothing happened to Revan is a hard ask (again, this is likelyhood, not want). But I can't just see why dev's would want to tortute Bastila like this! She should have her man back! (or gal for Carth). heh, Jerry Springer....

when you listen to the cut bits where Atris fights your party rather than Kreia, the files are actually names "Kreia". Originally I just thought maybe that was the voice actress' unmixed voice (since I've never heard her before), but now that I know it is Atris, I'm starting think that she was gonna be the "Kreia" of the whole story - again, so much has been changed it's hard to know if anything hasn't changed.

KotOR II left Revan's journey and fate pretty open - it was all the talk and background of why he left, but it is implied that something has gone on because it's been so long. How would you want Revan's role to end in the KotOR series (which may or may not be KotOR3, since no one knows)? Since everyone probably has their own scenario, I've left the poll options pretty open which cover the main options of dies, returns changed, returns happily to Bastila/Carth romance, or whatever. Also, you can decide whether the whole KotOR plot about Unknown True Sith is finished or not - there's nothing wrong with Revan returning without a full resolution to that plot. Also, it may not be explicit in the game (so just because Revan returns doesn't mean you follow him back) - take a global overview. Just remember, it's what you want to happen?

As strange as this sounds, I suggest you DON'T keep in mind who to keep with you. In my first game I just played the "cold", without any specific knowledge at all - I just did it what I would do in KotOR 1. Only deliberately try to explore all plots after the first game, like what I did with KotOR. Reason why I suggest this is because you will want to experience all the bad things in the game first - bugs, the storylines in general, things like that. Hmm, I guess I'm not being very clear....

(3) Talk about being strict on completing the quest fully (bug?). I would've considered bringing G0-T0 to talk fuel as the WRONG thing to do! Also, I heard those special areas are movie/cutscene areas. Eitherway, can disregard.

Why does Atris get the best clothing in the game? <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, I would've loved to have both outfits available to the female player, especially the Jedi robe. There are so many things the same I don't deny it's not her but still, the cheek/chin area seems to have more "drop". On Yuthera Ban @ Dantooine: You also can't see her if you do Korriban 3rd (just before the Leviathan) cos you never make it bake to Dantooine.

It's nice to know they had *intended* to make Atris' role larger (and hopefully the same for Darth Nihilus), but alas, another thing onto the pile. It does look like an early decision though - the head just doesn't seem to match Atris, mainly the lower mouth/cheeks bit, so I'm thinking it was done before the final Atris model was chosen.

I'm a guy and I know a lot of girls who only play Sims 2. What I kinda find strange is that I know people who like things from movies, like the battles in Lord Of The Rings, but yet have no appeal towards Rome Total War (or Battles of Middle Earth).

KotOR 3 is almost certain because it is profitable. There is plenty of demand for it - just waiting for someone to make the supply. I would prefer BioWare to make a KotOR III. Hey, maybe Raven software should do it - LucasArts seems to love them! Wouldn't get any time, money or patch problems there!

I haven't played female Exile yet. Handmaiden looked better than the only other option, Mira. The hair just didn't work for her. (Why didn't you post a poll like the other threads)

heh, BioWare got left out of the cold too when fans wanted more patches (after 1.03). It's pretty hard for them to deny a patch, but I suggest Obsidian make sure they fix as many bugs as possible cos chances are (again, look at BioWare), they won't get another. I may have lost some faith in Obsidian but never trusting them again is a bit far (were they being sarcastic?). I just won't trust 1 year games!

The game wasn't bad, but I don't think it's as good as KotOR 1 - yes, it may have had more time but in the end the end-product was better. As for the "who's in charge" thing, I'm not too sure. I suppose they both have a bit - reason why BioWare won't fix anymore bugs is cos LucasArts won't finance or request one (cos they've taken the view that it is "good enough", talk about quality loyalty), so in that respect, LucasArts should've been a bit more realistic with their goals for Obsidian. At the same time however, Obsidian have seemed to "bite off more then they can chew" (they probably considerd 1 year too short but they would've known nevertheless). It is evident with the cut material, simple bugs (but luckily can be fixed in patch ), and not being able to explore some of the plot more deeply and thoroughly. to me, KotOR II feels kinda like a Jedi Academy - good with new & suggested features, and a good game overall but not as much as the predecessor.

The Mass Shadow Generator is an example of one of the things I never (and still don't) know about. You'd think by the end of the game you had sorted out everything about your past but no, I finished still not knowing. Things like, the player is supposed to remember Atris, why you were on the Harbinger in the first place, etc.

Just for this game or overall? Would you be suprised if it was for Sims 2?

Join the club! Well, I understand the story, but I didn't think it was that good, compounded with the cut stuff and bugs (plenty of topics on those!) As for the "open Empire Strikes Back" style of ending, one thing it all takes me back to is the Revan/Bastila thing. BioWare said they left that issue unresolved to create that same open ending in the movies - and it wasn't resolved in this. My point is that Obisidan/LucasArts is building up a bad reputation for fulfilling plot holes.

I'm using 44.68 on my old 32mb GeForce4 440 Go! I've found that the game will always run slow with smoke and fog no matter what the setting, and that I can run it at pretty high-ish settings while leaving it playable (and seemingly the same performance at the recommended settings of 800x600/Low) I've played both K1 and K2 at 1024x768 - High tex. pack, shadows, but nothing else. Most of the other stuff is unsupported anyway. Well, back to the driver thing, a while ago b4 K2 was out, I tried to play K1 again but I had I think 66.70 (something like that), and it went unplayable slow - slideshow style. But knowing that I have played it before, I went back to my old drivers and it worked fine again even though K2 complained when I did setup.

Go Star Wars Kid Go! That's what I was curious about. I'm sure there are some women who weren't going "oh, how typical" when they read the topic title. Btw, how come Bastila isn't in that list. She'd have my vote (and I'm guessing many more) and besides, she's in the game more than Vash too.
