Well that explains heaps! Bao-Dur did seem a bit too tempered for what I thought he was (well, actually what I thought the Manaan guy was). The madest I've every seen him was in the Korriban tomb (although I was LS).

LS. I found DS harder to (yep, I'm a sucker too) than I expected.

After the learning Kreia was the betrayer, I no longer believed (or at least fully) the idea that Kreia was herself Exiled. So Kreia could've been "planted" as all part of the big plan. I also do accept a fair chance that Kreia/Sion were not allies at the start too, and that it really may have been a race to the Exile, in which case I think she would've used Stealth. I'm not a big fan to the Revan was a Sith Lord (in K1) acting to ready the Republic/Sith Empire for the True Sith. Yes, all that stuff about leaving installations intact and stuff is all supportive, but well, if I wanted to have the Sith as good guys, I'd rather go play Tie Fighter and help the Emperor restore peace and order to the galaxy. hmm, if Kreia was exiled, she could've snuck onto the Ebon Hawk herself...although from where, I don't know.

Well ehm... I renember there was this line when you see her dead there's a dialog option which says "Vash was one of the members of the Jedi Council quickest to reject me." so she probably wouldn't be nice to you at all - though I doubt she could be more critical than ice-queen Atris and of course master *you did the right thing but still I must criticize you* Vrook. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was talking about when you meet her (and you can't), not during the flashback council meeting.

I found it annoying when the character changes were unexpected (obviously it won't be after the first time), like Jekk Jekk Tar, swapping between you and Mira, etc. because most of the changes involved people who weren't un-armed specialists, and because it was unexpected, your character (or a member in the current party) has hogged the weapons.

The game moves are based on double-handed weapon, rather than a double-handed saber. Kinda like how Twin Lightsabers are swung around in the same fashion as twin swords. It probably started out as a simple rod, but then it would look too much like the Force Pike, Twin Suns Blades, or any other thin-doublebladed weapons. I guess the extra features they tacked on ended up making it look like the SWK "lightsaber" by accident. Or it could just be they had one of those metal-rod things he used is in the Obsidian office, since after all, it's a simple practical object. JediMaster.net says it's a golf ball retriever - I can sorta imagine them having one at the Office...

I just think PC's are more versatile (and well, cost more obviously) in general and there's no mess with things like XBox Live or whatever it is (you can tell that I don't own one...). The good thing about consoles is that there are no system requirement options, and in KotOR's case, get the game earlier. I also think PC interface (ie, Keyboard/Mouse) seem more appropriate for these sorts of games.

Moves Yes, Weapon...well, that's the point here. (SWK was pretending to be Darth Maul with a double-bladed lightsaber) Yes...yes it is.....

To be doing the same move...that's a pretty lucky match. To also be holding a similar-look weapon....that's just uncanny. heh, the Handmaidens' must be using the Star Wars Kid as their armed training video. Any Devs want to admit watching the Star Wars Kid? (and taking a few pointers)

The game does mention the Transit system I think, and at first I just thought that maybe it wasn't allowed - then I just decided, nup, won't be there. Could've been another cut, but there are so many cutscenes and character changes I suppose it wouldn't work anyway.

I also noticed a lot more "standing around" doing nothing situations as well, where the defaukt attack option DOESN'T put itself there. Heh, from one extreme to the other.

Lots of stuff was gone. That link talks about the Droid factory, one of big pieces cut. There were heaps of other stuff cut or changed too - best to just browse through and you'll find heaps quickly! Nihilus died for me pretty quickly - I think. It was FIGHT > TALK > FIGHT > DIE (I think it probably does take longer depending on what you pick)

Very true, when you raised that I found it hard to name some sequels which were better than the originals. (granted, I haven't been doing much lately) Well, at least this'll make it easy for a K3 to do - K2 has made it a pushover

Just so you know, I think people are just tired of talking about KotOR 3 (which is why they might not like to), although since this is a forum, they can say for themselves There is no official KotOR 3, but it is almost a given, since both KotORs have been so popular (ie, there is demand=money to make), and well, K2 has opened such a large hole (of unfinished plots and new concepts) that it would be suicide to not conclude it. "Luke, I am your father..." - end of Episode V; and consider what fans would say if there was no episode VI.

Talk about making Atris the hero (that would've been nice )

The Ultimate weapon has been found! OK, I was browsing through the GameSpot screenshots helping to look for a particular piece of concept (maybe fan) artwork. Nihilus vs Atris and I came across a screenshot where the player is holding a metal staff (but with a tiny glow) which looks exactly like the ultimate lightsaber used by the STAR WARS KID (SWK Video, Nov2002). It's probably just a coincidence, or is it? and I guess a rod has to look like, well, a rod. (Found a better matching pair) (although now in the K2 shot, the grip is now black - alignment indicator?) Incase you don't see the resemblence straight away, both are long metal rods with a bulb at one end, and slightly thicker at the other. I've probably come across this weapon, but never used it. I picked up a lot of melee stuff I didn't use. Do you agree with the resemblence? Find it ...weird/funny/uncanny?

What's wrong with a predictable storyline (did you suspect the K1 Revan deal?), and the classic kill the baddie and save or destroy the galaxy. What's so stupid about that? There are actually very few games which let you do this. The only other one which comes to mind for me is Jedi Knight. Exactly.... Did you by anychance play all the combo's in K1 LS/DS/Male/Female and do the sidequests? Did you do the Bastila romance sidequest? Don't you find it unfortunate that Carth tries to save Female/DS Revan to no avail. (I wouldn't say it was 'sad' mind you). Exactly...a bad guy, the Dark Side - strength, power, tyranny and all that. K2 was good, but I liked K1 way more.

I too was gonna post a "post-first-game" type of thing, but after seeing how many there were I decided not too. Yes, you are an optimist.

This mainly gets annoying when you want to use Force Powers or grenades, or if you've reached the level where you have a good chance at a one-round kill. When I pause (or even if it pauses it for me), and I queue up actions, say "Wave, Critical, Critical", a standard attack always seems to either be inserted as the first action, or sometimes it's the only action (queue cleared). Anybody else experiencing this (any solutions)?

Epic as in big, challenging, or long. What would you call the Star Forge level where "un-named henchman" just kept coming for ages - very fun too.

I just went over to the wallpaper section and I didn't see anything like that. I was taken by this though: When you say full version you mean like wallpaper size right?

I didn't know this until checking the forums too. I wonder who found that out the initially. I didn't hear any dialog which mentioned controlling the animals, but it could be I missed some data-pad history, or didn't talk to a beast-rider who talks about it, or maybe just wrong party members.

Have you taken a look at the Rare Lightsaber colour thread? In that I learnt there is an element of luck (and other stuff) which affects whether you find certain crystals or not. Same could apply here.

All I'll say is that KotOR 2 didn't act like the "Episode III" of Star Wars regarding the Revan/Bastila bit anyway. As much as I hope for a nice re-union, I'm not expecting much. Depends who's making it and who writes the story...
