What happened to the rest of the K1 crew?

Thanks a ton for that horrible mental image <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "T'Wookiees" made you smile though, huh? -
What happened to the rest of the K1 crew?
Darth Brooks replied to Darth Sun_Tzu's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I think the writers, designers, et al should take one path in the games, make that canon, and then consider the other paths to be "alternate endings". Sure it would piss off a whole slew of people but it would make for a more concrete story for the eventual K3. It seems very few people can play any of the two games without exploring all possible paths anyway. Light, Dark, Male, Female, Revan, Exile.... to many variables to keep track of. The only three that didn't make some sort of appearance were Mission, Zally, and Juhani. Dark side, for obvious reasons. Light side, who knows. They weren't really major factors in the story anyway. Make your own ending up. For instance, maybe Big Z and Mission hook up and have a litter of T'Wookiees. Mission dies during labor, of course. -
T3, the mobile workbench. I liked that T3 was overall more useful in this game, not just as workbench but also as a capable party member. I didn't use him much in Kotor 1.

I had names likes Owen Ketra, Alora, etc. but after a couple pass through the game I settled on the following because they made me chuckle. M Revan: Nevar F Revan: Raven M Exile: Fred F Exile: Wilma

Do you know what love is?

Some would say it's a battlefield. Others would say it's exciting and new. I, for one, believe that it is a many splendored thing. -

The thumbnail looks kinda like Picard. That's kinda funny, maybe.

[off topic] This response belongs in the "who would be cast in the movie" thread, but wouldn't Angelina Jolie make for a nice Visas, what with those lips and all. [/off-topic]

I sent Mira (jedi) leading Visas and Handmaiden (jedi) to the Tomb and because I'm a total and complete dork, I dubbed them Exile's Angels. Candy stayed on the Hawk and acted as Bosley. Bao-Dur (jedi) tagged along with the Exile and Kreia to raid the palace. Since he couldn't wear any robes, I put the best medium armor I could find on him and gave him force powers that weren't restricted by armor. I was surprised at how many there were.

Contest: Match the Face to the Voice
Darth Brooks replied to phiont's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Heh, I just checked out his resume myself and it looks like he was in Kotor 1 as Sunry, Jorak Uln, Gar, Swoop Fan, and "Additional Voices". I'm telling you, "Additional Voices" probably means the gizkas along with every other animal in the game. And I was joking when I said that in the first place. -
Contest: Match the Face to the Voice
Darth Brooks replied to phiont's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Voice actors have always facinated me. Grey Delisle, for instance, is also Daphne from the modern-day Scooby Doo and Jennette from Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines (along with a crap load of other roles). If you want to read up on a legend, look into Frank Welker. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he did the "voice" for the Gizkas. -
Your level when finished the game
Darth Brooks replied to madwolfx's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Glitch-less, the highest I got was level 28 and I leveled up after killing 2 of the 3 lightsabers. -
Do what I'm doing. Re-install Kotor 1 and play that once or twice (or several dozen times) while you're waiting for the patch.

I tend to be narcissistic and everyone but the Exile gets a red saber. That way my character tends to have a different color than every else in the game, friend or foe. But because I'm also slightly obsessive compulsive, I sometimes give the NPCs unique colors so that it's easier to know who's saber belongs to who when I'm upgrading from the Ebon Hawk. So: Atton: Blue Single Kreia: Yellow Single Mira: Orange/Bronze (whichever comes first) Single Handmaiden: Silver Double Bao-Dur: Cyan Single Disciple: Violet Single Exhile: Viridian/Silver Dual Wield

Oh yeah? Mine is Salsu-An Souma...

Trolls, in general, are largely fueled by "keyboard courage". They don't have to look at the people they insult and the only real consequences they suffer is a retaliatory post. And even then, they can choose not to read it. For the most part, a troll is just looking to get a rise out of people. Their primary targets are those that are easily provoked and, unfortunately, female posters. Having said that, trolls can be loads of fun. To have gained a personal troll is kind of a badge of honor. To have gained an army of personal trolls is "teh r0Xors". I've found (because I've been on the internet too long) that the best way to disarm a troll is to agree with them. And the best defense to trolls is to just not respond. That's what they're looking for anyway, so just ignore them. And now to contribute to this thread: I've seen action figures for all sorts of games. SSX Tricky, a snow boarding game, has a few. I'm pretty sure that it's just as, if not less, popular than Knights of the Old Republic. I'm actually a little surprised that they don't exist in any marketed form. But then again, I haven't googled or been to ebay yet. And those lego knights are just oh so mildy distrubing.

I've got your pink saber right here, baby! <_< It's a short saber though.

Just a little question regarding Atton.
Darth Brooks replied to Lucius's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Couldn't resist playing along. I figured the absurdity of it would tell people that it was a big load of poop without actually having to tell them. And now to contribute to this thread, other than the backstory Atton gives you up until you train him, he doesn't really provide much more. He gives you a bonus to your Will saving throws later on in the game (if you haven't gotten it already). He'll also complain about your face and/or tell you that you look really peachy at times. -
In K1, during one of my way-too-many passes through the game I called my female PC "Ann Arsehole" solely for that one line where she says, "I am no longer Revan. I am Ann Arsehole now." Another time, I called my PC Raven, just for my own amusement. It was like the council was powerful enough to wipe out a Dark Lord's memory but too stupid to come up with a better name for him. With K2, I got bored with the fancy names so my male PCs are "Fred" and my female PCs are "Wilma".

Darth Brooks replied to Lucius's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Just like the loot in the games, the Revan encounter is random. I tend to get my encounter after I blow open the door to the Dxun cache. Your guess as to why (s)he's in there is as good as mine. -
What is beyond the "Outer Rim"?

Star Wars - Episode VII: An Alderaanian Jedi in London -
As far as crystals are concerned, the randomization can be like a cruel devine joke. On some games I would receive nothing but purple sabers and run of the mill color crystals when what I wanted was cyan. In another game, I finally got a cyan crystal, learned that it was buggy (unless it was in your off-hand saber), and decided that I didn't really like it all that much. After that, all I would receive were cyan sabers.
