PC Zone UK first look preview
Ooh, is Mr. McSneakers coming to Saudi Arabia? Fantastic! I know some very hideous shopping malls that could do with a good blowing up (whilst empty, of course!)

What are you playing now?
Dreamfall: The Longest Journey. Poor April, she really is very bitter.

Game don't do anything
We believe you. Sadly from time to time, people do come to the forums asking for help with issues caused by them using pirated software, so we have to ask these questions. If your replacement set of CDs don't work either, please come back and we'll try to find an alternative solution.

More Info!!!
I imagine a lot of attention will be given to the Bioware Sonic RPG, as that's due for release before either of Obsidian's titles, but we may yet hear something.

What's the sweet point of such a world setting?
I prefer the carrot to the stick - by which I mean, rather than prevent people from reloading after a less-than-optimal outcome, persuade them that the game will be different, but just as interesting, if they don't reload.

Obsid - 49 of 50
I think this has got off-topic and that the original topic has run its course. Please feel free to discuss the merits and flaws of Obsidian's and others' games over in the Computer and Console forum.

What are you playing now?
I started Gothic 3 and it was hilarious. In the first 'tutorial' combat area I kept getting knocked down and dropping my sword, and every time I picked it up and equipped it again, another orc would come and knock me down in two seconds. I've given up until I figure out how to make V-Sync work. So now I'm playing The Longest Journey, and have just completed the great deflating rubber ducky puzzle.

carring loot in games
Switching to Computer and Console... Discworld had one of the largest - and weirdest - inventories of any adventure game, but it also had a sentient box walking around with you to help you carry it.

Just got Gothic 3...
Do you think the expansion will make further improvements on the engine and bug fixes the way MotB did for NWN2? I've still held off playing Gothic 3 in the hopes that the version I finally do play one day will be very stable and bug-free.

Engine thoughts
I'm closing this because it mixes discussion of the Kotor 2 engine with speculation about Kotor 3. Please keep all Kotor 3 discussion and speculation in this thread on the Star Wars Universe forum. If you'd like to discuss the Kotor 2 engine alone, please feel free to open another thread.

Lulz inbound!
The majority of gaming journalists haven't backtracked on how awesome Oblivion supposedly is/was. It's a shame, because Bethesda has little incentive to make Fallout 3 better. It will be interesting to see if the reviewers do indeed trash Fallout 3 for having all the same flaws they ignored in Oblivion. Would that be evidence of growing honesty, or of hypocrisy? And would it put Bethesda off making single-player RPGs in the future? That would be a shame, because even Oblivion, for all its faults, was a moderately enjoyable gaming experience.

Your Top Ten Games
I went off The Sims 2 for a while, but with so many expansion packs out now and so much to do in the game, it's won me over again.

What are you playing now?
Sam & Max: What's new, Beelzebub?

Music Feature
Does the link work for anyone else? I'm getting nothing.

What was patch that came with MotB?
Mask of the Betrayer, so far the only expansion pack for Neverwinter Nights 2.

Unarmed combat
At least one bout of unarmed combat with the 'big boss' is a must. It's so much more personal than guns.

What are you playing now?
If I remember rightly, I think 'die' is the most likely outcome.

GI exclusive screenshots
I felt that many of the companions in NWN2 were interesting twists on stereotypes - certainly not bland at all, and the writing was a big part of that. MotB went much further, of course.

GI exclusive screenshots
Darn straight! That's my job! NWN2, and especially MotB, reassure me that Obsidian won't just give us bland stereotypes. It's not really what they do.

What you did today
I'm sure the police officers, doctors and councillors of Wellington are pleased to hear it.
-
What you did today
And what exactly is your job and how worried should we be? I played NWN2 all day while waiting for my various Sims2 expansion packs to download from EA.

Horror writer King blasts banning violent videogames
Provided it's minimal and commands broad public support, I agree. However, the government's main role has to be to encourage the industry to regulate itself and to help parents educate themselves about the issue.

Post Your Desktop 2008
I'm still getting used to Vista, and not quite sure how I feel about the things on the right of the screen.

Lulz inbound!
Briosafreak's Fallout blog has lots of excerpts from the previews. It does seem to be a lot of stuff we knew before, and the enthusiasm with which they write after having seen nothing new is just a little surreal, I think. Perhaps when gameplay videos come out the enthusiasm will be more infectious, I don't know.

Okay, I'm ready for The Witcher
There's a new patch 1.3 for The Witcher, and a sort of mini-expansion called Price of Neutrality. It looks good, though I think I'll wait until the full enhanced version is released before replaying. Oh, and the toolset's been released as well - so says the official site.
