The Witcher, and more The Witcher. And when i have played through the first time, i will start a new game of The Witcher with extended english dialogue and Polish voiceovers. Good stuff.

, who is a godess. So include divine sex there, mistah! Even ignoring the sex, this game is beyond awesome in atmosphere and C&C. I love playing as a 'Neutral' and letting everyone else slaughter each other... ....Because i am a Witcher!

Having a federal reserve(private) is a silly idea by itself IMO. But those documentaries are filled with huge holes and jumps to conclusions that could easily be anything limited by one owns imagination.

Did some upgrades with my christmas-money

Is it finally here? The death of the fantasy genre?

Your wit fails me  -
Lyrics? I think that i will have to restart the old save then, and complete some sidequests.

Was my ending broken? I've heard praise about the ending music, but all that i can remember is that it was the same as the main menu-music Maybe i need to try to rerun the whole ilos->ending part again.

Magical Volo is always wrong without exception, thats his schtick. And this thread is about lazy developers/publishers trying to squeeze blood out of the stone that is the fantasy genre, whilst letting awesome genres go unnoticed. Probably, but he has his moments, just like now. Other licenses go unnoticed because they usually don't sell (That doesn't that i support such risky business, i actually applaud that). But Mass Effect isn't the saviour IMO, since it wasn't any better than any other Bioware games. Games with 'unusual' settings, such as Bloodlines and Deus Ex, are miles better than it. The Witcher is really, really good btw. -

This thread is definately heading for the "lulz". Strangely, i agree with Volourn once again. If this was about lazy developers abusing known settings to compensate for the lack of creativity, then we would have a discussion. -
This is what Mass Effect definately lacked. Here we have ubermacho space heroes (marine, spectre, whatever) in a military enviroment, the most manly and homo-erotic of things. Manly men comparing their size of their guns, reading guns & ammo and cheer at each other with breastbeating "WHOA"s. Kaiden would be perfect if the player chooses to play as a 'bear'-character, as the gay community calls them. How Bioware missed this oppurtunity to deliver homosexuality in its right and perfect enviroment baffles me. I am just calling it for what it is folks

There's a boyscout in all of us!

Mine sounds a jet-engine on overdrive every time i play  Same here. I've noticed leaving mine in the vertical position is much quieter than the horizontal. If i would have the spare space (damn christmas decorations), i would try it out. But currently, i am stuck with the horizontal position for the time being. Anyways, i have finished Mass Effect some time ago, now what to play? If you haven't for some reason played it (and if your PC is up to scrap), then The Witcher is your man. I am currently at Chapter IV, and it's definately GOTY

HEY, HEY! We're mature, adult and politically correct here. It's called "Happy Holidays" Anyways, i will have a 4-5h drive on Sunday when i will go celebrating christmas at my parents place, and girlfriends place + visit various relatives during the weekend + visit my girlfriends relatives and eat a lot christmasturkey. And of course, we have to drive down again on Wednesday, due to work the following day. So no booze for me  But a merry christmas to everyone!

Newcomers to The Witcher! Make sure that you download the 1.2 patch. Loading and saving times have been reduced considerably. Oh, and i am at chapter IV and i have encountered my second Monty Python reference: "Do you seek the HOLY GRAAAAAIL?!"

am clear on what the achievements do.... am simply not understanding why somebody would want. boost to some abilities After you has already played game through? okie dokie. HA! Good Fun! It's like the medals that the boyscouts get all the time. The kiddies need some appriciation. You're simply too old, as i am, to understand

This is part of what I have to contest. Not every generation is like the one that came before. Cheese is dying, if not already dead as a valid form of commercial humor. It'd be like releasing a Michael Jackson album to kids who grew up on Linkin Park. Sure, there was that Blood on the Dance Floor album, but I don't think that's what those kids are looking for. And music hasn't even progressed half as much in that time as gaming has in the past 10 years. Here i disagree. Kids who grew up on listening Linkin Park should be put in a mental hospital because of their incredibly bad taste of music, IMO. But in all seriousness, everyone knows Michael Jackson just like everyone knows the Duke. And they are hoping for another album as good as "Thriller", instead of a "Blood on the dance floor". Also, there hasn't been a good pop album like "Thriller" since, well "Thriller" was released. I do think that the gaming community hopes for a new Duke, just as good as their parents/friends/themselves said it was.

Strange, he didn't comment on the story or quality of the dialogue. But judging from how he played it, it seems like he was pretty indifferent to it.
-
That would be completely dishonest to the setting that Duke Nukem represents. Like George Lucas did to the Greedo and Han Solo. Unless the guy saying it is a comic relief by itself.
-
Because the three first Duke Nukem games were beyond awesome? Or are you referring to those strange people who have been on the 3DRelams DNF forum for years without any news on the game still being in developement? No, I'm referring to people who are no longer teenagers aching to see boobies and excited by any "Doom clone" that comes to market. They might have been awesome for their time, but that time is long past. I am not denying the nostalgia factor, but there's a whole new generation of kiddies out there craving for semi-nudity and bad one-liners. Crude and tacky humor expand through generations and ages. When talking about gameplay, we simply don't know.
