  1. Thanks to him wednesdays are no more: "Is it still only wednesday? *groan* ". Really funny and right on the money on most points.
  2. Rumors are floating around about the next expansion would take place in Chult, and it would not include the sword-bearer from the previous game. But that's mere speculation IMO.
  3. Yeah, as Walsingham said. During the late 40's and 50's the communists had significant political power in France, combine that with the french mentality of protesting, these were dangerous times indeed. The reigning political parties had to abide their claims several times to keep the calm. Some historians claimed that a communist takeover was avoided when the social-democrats refused to forge their party under the communists wing, and thus splitted the far left. The hippies of the 60's and 70's were a of a different breed.
  4. Well, some of them. The picture above says it all about what were on the parisians minds that day. Truly heartbreaking.
  5. Easily the most impressive mod so far.
  6. Epic hardcore kill? Anyways, i always considered the Final Fantasy-soundtracks with Nobuo Uematsu as a league of their own, few composers are even near this guy's talent. Maybe Motoi Sakuraba (Batos Kaitos), Hamazu (Did some arrangements on FFX) and the guys behind FFX-2 have some potential as well. Deus Ex, Unreal 1 and PS:T are also good. KotOR 1 & KotOR 2 + Jade Empire are ok-ish, too much filler-tracks though. Despite the crappiness of Oblivion, the soundtrack by itself is pretty solid. No cookie for guessing the composer for the best intro ever
  7. //Updated...
  8. Until i can run PS:T and other older games from 90's on it + until there's support for EAX in Vista, i will stay with XP. Wait - you're telling me Vista can't run SCUM or Infinity Engine games?! Last i've heard, the support was a bit iffy. But Windows XP suffered from the same issues, give it another 6 months or so.
  9. Will it be moddable? I refused to play Oblivion until there was mods similar to the Obscuro overhaul + many others. Did i even play Oblivion at all?
  10. I just bought my copy today and it is rated as "18 only", because of....get this: "Violence". Thankfully, the anti-boob-patrol hasn't sunked its claws in the videogame-market in Europe.
  11. Here the .gif version, much easier to follow
  12. Incredible, they managed to go below double-digits within the hour.....no, wait
  13. While the 8800GT seems like a sweet deal, i don't think that the performance increase will be enough to warrant a purchase. My 7900GTO (clocked as a GTX, i dunno about the name change) 512mb will be enough for a while longer. Anyhoo, i am replaying the NWN2 OC as chaotic good warlock, but i am currently shifting to more evil as the game progresses. About half of the 'chaotic'-dialogueoptions are also evil.
  14. ^What Bokishi said. From what i've heard, Crysis and UT3 should have support for atleast for 3 (1 for A.I., 1 for draw-distance and so on) cores in their respective final releases.
  15. As i said, don't bother with these kind of announcements. Rumors about KotOR MMO have been for a while know, and this agreement just strengthens my suspicions. Even if it was something else, i would find it unlikely that Lucasarts would approach Bioware with something that wouldn't be Star Wars. Indiana Jones? Maybe, just maybe.
  16. There's already a "KotOR III: The MMORPG"-rumorthread at KotOR subforums, but to put the content aside, don't try to overanalyze pressreleases people. They are usually written without any substance to fall back to, the only rule is that you should not lie....too much. But it is not unlikely that some genius back at Lucasarts discovered that their focus-groups complained about the lack of MP and co-op (=pod-people who once thought that Vanilla Ice was edgy and cool) were the sole dissapointments of the series and got the idea of "KotOR + MP = MMO" means double, no wait, tripple amount of sales. And what are Bioware(EA), who sweared highly and mighty to never touch other IP's again, going to say about it? Not much really.
  17. ...Bleh, it will be a KotOR III: The MMORPG after all. Brought to you by the talents of EA.
  18. And the year before that. But before then, there was less optimism.
  19. That has to be an easter egg. Too funny for a mere bug
  20. There's a mod that removes the alignment shift from using suppress. Really useful for a warlock: http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2S...tail&id=165 Also, here's an editor to change back your alignments (an alternative to the cumbersome console commands): http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Other.Detail&id=247 Thank you And Azarkon had a good point as well, but that is for another thread.
  21. ....and a Quad-Core was purchased. Thanks for the input everyone
  22. Oh, i don't mind devour a soul or two. I just find it strange that supressing means that you're lawful.
  23. Has anyone actually managed to play through MotB, without cheats, as a warlock? I am currently playing the original OC as chaotic good one, and i am already starting to have doubts about this. Hopefully a patch will remove "+1 lawful" for every time you use "supress". I wouldn't like to cheat unless it is really necessary.
  24. They will be released at an estimated price pf 999 euro, no thank you  Quad-Core seems to be better for a longterm choice though.
