  1. Diablo IV: Season of Slaughter Ah, just kidding. It wouldn't be a Blizzard D4 season if it actually worked an hour after going live.
  2. Yeah, I'm off today and now I think I know what I'll be doing.
  3. I completed Atomfall after about 50 hours I really enjoyed it and I hope they make an Atomfall 2 and because the game exceeded sales expectations this is possible I ended up choosing the Dr Holder ending, I wont go into details because of spoilers but I was happy with the end result I have already mentioned what I liked about the game, the shortfalls dont detract from all the positive aspects of it So in summary its a well done open-world game lots of different quests and several different endings that motivate exploration Quests tips and updates are provided by notes you find and its a good way to progress without making objectives too easy clever mechanics like the barter system, skills advancement and metal collector as a way to find resources a good survival balance of having to find resources and how you find those resources. Its challenging but not frustrating Combat is fun and different skills and weapons matter A good and realistic fast travel system, you can use a rapid travel network which is basically an underground train that only takes you to a single location on each map. So it saves time but you still need to walk to specific locations on each map I decided to play the DLC Red Strain in the middle of the main narrative. You have to play the DLC like this because the game ends once you choose a final option. Red Strain is a worthwhile DLC with new weapons and a whole new map that ties into the main narrative around Oberon Defintely recommend this game and it scores a 70/100 on the highly respected " BruceVC game rating system "
  4. Im also having trouble with the VPs not showing up when I "Report to Head Office Tower" during the NOW HIRING: INVALUABLE DISPOSABLE AGENT quest, so I cant progress further at all. I cant go back a save to try and push it through either, so that sucks.
  5. Same. I've been exhausting all the other content and it's been a week since I first encountered this bug. It's absolutely game breaking and literally the most upvoted issue on the tracker. It's frustrating that it's still being "investigated" and not considered a "major" bug.
  6. Well that sent me down an unexpected rabbit hole and I learned that the romances give buffs. Wenduag's is pretty good, too!
  7. I have finished Lyria part of Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tale. So far, I am enjoying it. Some of the puzzles are pretty challenging, and some of them can be still won even if I messed up some moves ☺️ Story is interesting and already had few plot twists. I hope after I finish this, I'll find some guide, which will say, what would happen, if I choose different options 😄
  8. I have the same issue too, the VPs are nowhere to be found. I've gone and explored everything else waiting for an hotfix and I've now run out of places that I had not been to. I was hoping that a patch would come, but unfortunately I am now going to not finish this and move on to another game. Unless a patch arrives this week, it is unlikely that I'll get back to it, which also means that I won't bother with any DLC. Shame.
  9. I ended up with a Dahmpir Sage Sorcerer. Only made it to Neathholm and I need to do some mental adjustments. Trying to make my old sorcerer fight with a scythe was of course folly (even if thematically cool for a Lich), so not bothering with strength this time. Intelligence, yes, dexterity, some (enough not to shoot my own foot with a cross bow) and some charisma (just for the low bar persuation checks, not because a Dhampir wins any pageants) and the leftover points in wisdom. Not because he is very wise, but for the tiny boost to will saves. Not bothering with physical combat feats either, only things that increses the DC of spells get considered for now. Focusing on Necromancy first (not that the lowbie necromancy spells are useful per se, ray of enfeeblement my butt). I really cant remember what the Lich spell book adds to the table, but I'll sort that out when time comes for spell book merging. Looking forward to having my own pyramid again
  10. Completed The Medium, took just under 10hours, quite enjoyable for the most part. Gameplay-wise the most similar game I can think of would be SOMA, but with Resident Evil's camera/perspective (and then I'm talking about the OG) I do wish they hadn't done the "cliffhanger" at the end though. Game has some technical issues as well, I suffered two CTDs and it seriously stutters when switching to/from cutscenes, which kinda sucks when you need to react quickly. If you like these types of games definitely worth playing through, though I'm not sure I'd pay the full price for it.
  11. While I don't know, having never developed a game myself, I would strongly suspect making a 2D game with isometric presentation to be considerably more straight-forward, and has you using your hours on something that leverages your gameplay and not something that's only under the hood. Instead of x-y-z you only have to think in x-y. I guess the most direct analogy is maths when you have to add dimensions, as the product is non-linear: 2x times 2y is 4, while 2x times 2y times 2z is 8 -- double the total of what you had to take in account going only x-y. For example you can drop everything about 3D rendering, lighting, more complex pathing, etc etc. The Pillars games' presentation is rendered 3D, so it's 2D when you're playing the game. The only things still real-time rendered in 3D are basically the characters / NPC's, and a miniscule numbers of special effects, some doors et cetera. But because the characters are in 3D, they still had to add dynamic lighting on top of their 2D. The final product is as you know absolutely beautiful, but there's still considerable time investment to achieve it. But again, the gameplay is 2D. Again, I'm not a game developer so take my thoughts for what they are. But I hope they've given you some things to consider. Best of luck to you whatever you choose!
  12. I'm not clear that's true. In the past they have repeatedly acted to damage the political interests of the in-power President. With most of their military infrastructure destroyed, Iran may choose to play the long game and try to bottle up the Straits of Hormuz. The goal would be to damage the US economy and influence the next election. Democrats have shown more willingness to deal diplomatically with Iran, rather than resorting to force as redacted has done multiple times already.
