  1. hey just a friendly nudge that you should post anything useful you find. i think the deadfire fan base is heavily skewed towards RTWP so there's a big knowledge gap with turn-based mode. if you find something that works in TB pretty well, you should post it for the benefit of posterity.

  2. I don't know much about autism even though I have a brother and his mom on the spectrum. They also believe the rise is mostly because we know more about it and are better at detecting it but they also think there could be environmental factors that could be contributing as well. Stepmom is a little kooky so I don't know how much truth there is in what she says but I mean, microplastics and ultraprocessed foods aren't good for you regardless.

  3. No, like Shady, it was classes-lunch-classes-go home. I think we used to call recess by the name "PE" (physical education), but it was a dedicated class where we did sporty activities. It wasnt a break.

  4. Thank you all so much! It was very helpful. I will try and do some trial and error myself. I am off to Eora world!

  5. i'm puzzled by the term 'make up up to ten assignments'. If you are struggling with a language, the missing part is the skeleton you need before you can start learning/reading on your own. Gramma, syntax, practise exercises, all of those things. It's pretty common for the learning curve to be vastly different for every student because you need those basics first. Another thing is, I don't know how you do a deep dive when your phone translation app is better than you at all levels except expert. I would demoralise me certainty. I'm thinking the students are the same, hell everyone is the same. The tech bros are all telling us to learn nothing and just be customers instead. If I had to learn Spanish I would get a bunch of movies for exposure and start reading books, including but no limited to textbooks, with an LLM window open and just ask a million questions. what is this structure, how does that work, on and on. Some would be wrong answers, but most would be right.

  6. Of course, I have no context and/or am not familiar with some concepts (eg, "Aeries") but it doesn't seem a very professional write up, which is kind of funny, since language teacher. Maybe they wrote it after 4 big glasses of red wine. Or they are hoping to actually discourage anyone from doing it, so they'd have less work to do themselves. "douchewaffle" indeed, perhaps.

  7. Thank you all for the many suggestions! I originally had the same idea as you, but B is right, Nomad Brigadine looks better, mainly because of the difference in AR and the fact that I play turn-based, so recovery has less impact. bonus to disengagment attacks, too. WotEP would also be effective. - WotEP is corn, but LDV is 360 degrees as it applies to carnage. (* 360 is preferable for tanks) - WotEP has less base damage, but LDV is standard. - WotEP's Aoe is the weapon damage itself, but LDV's AoE damage is basically 10 and must be triggered. (* Berserker's Frenzy and Rogue's ability to increase critical rate) - LDV's AoE does not apply the effect of ability, but WotEP's AoE does. (* in favor of rogue's ability, but Barbaric Smash is good too) - The AoE (with carnage) of a LDV that is BINDED to a Barbarian gives Disoriented. - WotEP has Def+4 and a second counterattack ability (with debuff) called Offensive Parry. - WotEP has a 15% crash attribute lash, while LDV has a 15% shock attribute lash that is limited to when activated. - The shock effect of LDV is cool. Sorry for the long post. I can think of a difference like this for example, but it could be either one. However, WotEP seems to have little synergy with Barbarian. This was my thought as well, but it is negative that it is turn based and requires a miss.

  8. It would be interesting if you could share your thoughts as to why. I'm neither particularily versed in teaching techniques (modern or otherwise) nor with your school system, so I am left guessing as to what exactly you think is so crazy. I might also not have the best perspective, given what the last five years of my school life looked like. We certainly never got a homework amnesty week, but plenty of projects over breaks and holidays. Edit: Well, whoever the person is, they are coming across as a major douchewaffle, so there's that.

  9. Well, apparently between 2016 when I first played DA:I and now, something's happened to my memory, which is rather disconcerting ... and scary.

  10. It's pretty sad state of affairs that someone as both awful and idiotic as RFK Jr. has been consistently throughout his entire life is actually one of the best people in the entire administration.

  11. It's Dragon Ruins. Not sure 1 or 2, though. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3293490/Dragon_Ruins_II/ --- Shadow of the Road I probably should have used Imgur, rather than Steam, but the quality (JPEG) is serviceable. Barely. Responding first as the MC1, then as the MC2. The small font and Japanese VA mix rather poorly. The red word means "foreigner". It is as straightforward and unambiguous as it gets and should have been translated. The same emperor that holds himself to be a direct descendant of Amaterasu and the Shinto high priest, I guess. It is rather odd, but could be worse. The GPU was running too hot, so I did not get to meet the ninjas in-game. Them jumping between trees and wearing black pajamas with the swords on their backs highlighted that it is a very much fantasy game. --- Tunic The game is absolutely delightful to play. Except the Quarry. Damned be the Quarry. The checkpoint was dead and so was I. After 4-5 attempts, it occurred to me that it might be not the best direction to explore.
