I'm almost positive RFK Jr. is confusing Chicken Pox and Measles. People used to have Chicken Pox parties for kids.3 points

Even for those 3%, the actual infection they get if they are exposed to measles post-vaccination is often a lot less problematic. I was one of those kids where the vaccination did not take fully, and I got sick from my brother, who could not be vaccinated due to ongoing and chronic pulminary tract infections as a kid, and brought it home from kindergarten: some unvaccinated child with stable genius parents. He almost died from it too, while I just had the usual rash with a slight itch and super explosive diarrhea. Needs diapers at the age of six because getting to the toilet in time is impossible sort of explosive. Fun fact, measles has a potential side effect in the form of Dawson disease, which is basically a time bomb planted by the measles infection that will go off in your brain, killing you without recourse. Fun disease, don't forget to bring your unvaccinated kids to a measles party. The dumbest thing of it all is though that the distrust of the measles vaccination goes back to faked paper by Andrew Wakefield who wanted to discredit existing measles vaccinations to sell his own. The same sort of idiots who still cling to his disproven lies are the same ones that tell everyone that big pharma is just trying to make us sick for profit, popping sugar placebos with a 10000% price markup in the form of homeopathy. If it weren't for the harm done to kids who are not to blame for their dumb parents, I'd be happy to see RFK stopping vaccinations entirely. The world's way too full of people anyway, and if some of the worst offenders of wasting resources want to off themselves in a terribly painful way, who am I to argue. Just go and die. Alas.2 points

Cant open the chest. Refuses to give me the key saying that i opened the chest already so she has nothing to give me. Which is wrong when you cant even open the chest without a key. Needs fixed asap as its breaking my playthrough. ON xbox series x1 point

The measles vaccine is not, to my knowledge, 100% effective: some people's immune systems are really bad at keeping the antibody around. However, even if you are one of the ~3% or so of people that it's not effective for, it will not kill, maim, or otherwise injure you unlike actual measles, and if everyone has the vaccine, then you'll receive the benefit of herd immunity. But when enough idiots decide the measles vaccine is not for them and their kids, suddenly those 3% of people who can't keep the antibody can actually be quite at risk, even if they've been previously vaccinated.1 point

I wonder do these people even think little bit what they are saying? How measles has not disappeared from world when everybody is immune to it because they have had it or they got protection from their mother's milk? He forgets to say that measles infection weakens immunity response against other infections, making especially children more vulnerable against other infections and making those more morbid.1 point

They'll want them out of Kursk first, I think. Although looks like that's going to happen by end of week1 point

I cannot think of any class combo with Chanter that wouldn't work well from the top of my head. Since Chanter is so versatile it should work with any class really.1 point

So Ukraine is on side for a 30 day ceasefire, now up to Russia to make Trump throw a tantrum or something if they don't agree. Intel and weapons sharing resuming too, at least from BBC feed Ah joint statement here https://www.president.gov.ua/en/news/spilna-zayava-za-pidsumkami-zustrichi-delegacij-ukrayini-ta-965531 point

Says something about how far Intel's fab arm has fallen that in house production is seen as 'risky' when they really ought to be producing everything there, and would have been even 5 years ago. There's good talk about their 18A process though and nVidia is rumoured to have been doing test chips on it. Still a decent way off, a year for 3rd party and a bit less for Intel.1 point

Same here. No violence and she says she wishes she could give me something. She doesn’t give me the key.1 point

Confirmed - ran into the bug after replaying the quest using multiple dialog options, increasing stats via consumable/respec to use optional conversation lines, no change. Regardless of the path chosen, if you do not commit violence when stealing the banners and return, she will mention that you already have the loot and not give you the key to open the chest. If you go hostile, you can loot her corpse for the key, then open the chest.1 point

I'm usually not one to rant, but this is not only unintuitive and obscure, it also seems stupid. I would love to hear the reasoning for this. Or maybe it's not intended? Even if one designed it like this for whatever reason: why not communicate it to the player? I'm baffled... PS: having said that - so far the weird quality-tier- and scaling mechanics have not kept me from enjoying the game, it gives me a great time so far despite me being really bad with those controls.1 point

Polish localisation is terrible. It isn't consistent with PoE series localisation. Some names of historical events are different. There is different translation for the same stuff (like Caedmen's ring in Dawntreader quest has different name in inventory and different in dialogue when you can give it back to Ofryc). There is lots of wrong declination for names like original english Magran (Av) instead of Magrana (PoE) which indicates that god of war is a male for example. On the other hand, in both PoE Ryngrim was translated as Ryngrim so I was sure it's a man, but now it looks like she's a women and old declination used in polish version of both games was wrong. There are some phrases in Avowed like reference to one popular polish commedy film and the phrase itself is "zrobić (komuś z dupy) jesień średniowiecza" which originally was a reference to Johan Huizinga's "The Waning of the Middle Ages". It was used in a film in specific context (dealing with someone with very ultimate way). Now one NPC outside governor's manor in Fior mes Iverno is talking about "middle ages"... in Eora. I remember one banter in the camp when someone compared Giatta to a cipher, but it was translated in a way pointing that Giatta likes riddles, because cipher in polish PoE was translated as "enigmatyk" which means something like "mysterious", but tranlsation in Avowed took "cipher" literally and put it in a context about liking riddles. There are huge mistakes in many documents and other lore pieces, where some part of text look like it was translated in wrong context, some of these texts look like they were translated via AI tools. I noticed there were only 3 people in polish localisation QA (many more in different languages) and every polish reviewer is pointing out this stuff.1 point

They are aware of this and working on it, they contacted through email and asked for more details. So if you want you can send them a email and explain as well, but they are working on it as of this 2/21/25 when they contacted me back1 point
